my two cents: you can drink (in PZ, not IRL) from puddles, ponds and rivers safely without boiling. Just make sure you drink tainted water directly from source, not from bottle!
Not sure if it's true, there are some memories of reading about it killing you since an update. Either way, any toilet, bath or sink has water left in it once the water shuts down. Use this for drinking, and use river water and puddles for washing. Build a rain collector to wash your clothes and water your crops, and only drink boiled water once the sinks in the area run dry Or bring three empty bottles on a loot run to a nearby village and fill them from the sinks in that area

I got a great laught and started doing it in a multiplayer server. I actually got auditable laughs. Then I learned that with ALT runing you can leap the fence.

Ok about foraging i did my resarch "Blackberry Blackberry, Blueberry Blueberry, Winter Berry Winter Berry and Beautyberry Beautyberry are never poisonous." there are images which show what is safe to eat wiki says it , if you dont trust me research pz wiki foraging and scroll down on berry section. And another usefull information you can tell berry apart what is poisonous and what is not on level 7 cookiing .
Carpentry is the easiest skill to level up. Read the skill book for the right level and then go around dismantling all the furniture and doors in the neighborhood. You'll be at lvl 10 in a couple in-game days.
2 things are wrong: 1) The animation time with/without spoon is exactly the same 3) Not all insects are safe. Centipede are poisonous and have the same effect as drinking bleach.

While you cannot die as a result of losing health due to overencumberance, it will both exhaust and tire you out remarkably fast. 8.) Cutlery is an interesting tidbit, but when you're out there looting you will be struggling for every bit of carry capacity... leave the cutlery at home please 9.) and 10). Make your life easier and solely use the barbeque to cook. It cooks meals just as fast as the oven and, unless you're a moron, you won't set your base on fire. 11.) Sleeping pills are a guaranteed way to screw up your sleeping schedule... unless you intend to go out at night and make it easier for the brainfarts to blindside you. 12.) Never trust the goddamn mushrooms, man! 13.) Hulking slow with layers of defense in the winter, nimble but nearly naked in the summer, that's what the PZ bible says... 14.) Throw those towels into the thrash. Why bother wiping yourself when you can dry simply by taking any excess clothes and waiting. Washed clothes also dry faster. 15.) MILITARY BOOTS. Wear 'em and stockpile 'em, because they are the ONLY FOOTWEAR you will ever going to wear and need. 16.) It is rather amusing that most hair-handling tools are clasified as JUNK rather than APPEARANCE, huh?! 17.) How about a few precautions so the brainfarts can't enter your home? Park a car under a window to make it inaccessible, place a watercooler in front of a door. 18.) Rather funny that the game treats an enclosed area as "ENCLOSED" temperaturewise even if you don't have any doors and windows installed. 19.) Scissors are required for picking up carpets. 20.) Buckets and Cooking Pots are the only worthwhile means of gathering rainwater, cups and glasses simply cannot compete. 21.) The amount of water in puddles is... for lack of a better word... comical. 22.) The umbrella will protect you from mild rain, but it can't save you from a downpour. 23.) Sterilized bandages are a must-have since they can be infinitely re-boiled and re-used. 24.) Burned food is lethal in the game because... I assume... it's the equivalent of eating charcoal ??? 25.) That's rather nice, but why would I bother with a single scoop of ice cream when I can have A WHOLE BUCKET OF IT AND THERE'S NOBODY TO STOP ME :) 26.) Separating the meal into bowls isn't worth it nutritionwise, just manage your cooked food by pots. 27.) A must-have tidbit for anyone doing any long runs. Your savefile will thank you for it. 28.) The world might have ended, but the copcars are still there to remind you of law and order. Don't forget to check their trunks ;) 29.) STAY AWAY FROM CRUISE CONTROL. Even though your car maintains speed, it revs up to maximum, chugging fuel and alerting everything within its maximum noise range. 30.) Do yourself a favor and forget about sprinting. More players have died to sprinting than any other mishap in the game. If you don't have the self-discipline, wipe the sprint control through settings or (if you somehow can't do that) tear the ALT key out of your keyboard, your character will be grateful.

Thats a thing that amazes me... random americans don't know whats edible in the woods and need a trait for it. You could put 20 random european teenager in the wild and they had no problem not getting poisened. But americans take the car for 2-3 miles, too. I lived in PA 3 years and people mostly really don't know much of anything and talk only one language. That was a giant culture shock.

Found out about the police divider while playing, and was once again taken aback. The devs thought of it all
the hidden bridge is really cool, cant believe after over 1400 hours in the game I've only just now seen it
My fav part was the puddles business, I have a pretty low end PC and I always turn puddles off so I never even thought about it.

I found out not all empty bottles are made equal you can only boil water in glass bottles over a fire. Plastic bottles need a microwave specifically.

No it's base game, it's just set to extremely rare by default. You can change the frequency under custom sandbox > car alarms frequency
