Nested Containers is by far my favorite mod. I love to stock toolboxes & medpacks in safe areas, or use gun cases as quick-grab cases for specific ammo & magazine types. It feels so much better to be able to see the contents of boxes inside a cabinet, without having to have to pull it out each time I want to put something in or take something out. I even started using more common sacks I usually dont for looting, it makes organizing loot easier & transfering it all into a vehicle or storage way more convenient. I am a big fan of utility mods, but Nested Containers is one I consider an essential & logical adjustment to the game interface.
Dude. Best mod video yet, immediately installed EVERY mod you showed. Well done. I love the aiming and inventory mod especially. I’m hoping with the next update, there will be more/better PVP servers out there.
You should do a video about a combination of mods that makes you feel immersed within the lore of Projet Zomboid while still having a little bit of mods that also improve the game!
Excellent list of mods once again. I'm so glad someone made the invisible clothes patch mod, I'm definitely grabbing that to add to my current playthrough! I also pledged for your Plushie, I hope it hits the threshold to make production, will go nicely with the Spiffo Plushie!
I don't know why but hearing you talk about the improved first aid mod gave me an idea. I think it would be cool to have a mod that changes how zombie infection works. Instead of instant infection on bites and dice roll chances on scratches, I think a mod thay causes scratches to "dose" you with the infection which can drive an infected meter up and bites causes massive increases to the meter. Then maybe have the infection wear off a little at a time over long time spans (minutes/hours/days). If the infection meter ever hits 100%, tha's it... You're GOING to change into a zombie no matter what. At that point the Knox virus overwhelms your immune system and you're toast. I feel like the base game could benefit from something like this as an option to how infection works (as I'm sure this wouldnt suit everyone, but hey, the sandbox is what makes PZ so much fun to begin with right?! :)
Could work for some, but I feel the "bites mean you're dead" is a massive part of the thrill and risk/reward system of PZ. I wouldn't want to diminish it.
That is essentially how I intend to reform the zombie virus within my expansive medical overhaul mod (which you shouldn't expect until post-b42, given I'm still working on design and early prototypes, but that does mean I am still very interested in "feedback"/alternative design considerations). For context, the broader scope of the mod is to add in a realistic medical system in general, such that various forms of contamination and disease can arise and result in challenges and death for individuals and communities (within the yet broader context of my psychology and sociology mods, to provide long-term individual and group competition/content for indefinite roleplay servers that don't necessarily need to restart regularly). Diseases from poor hygiene and contamination (sewage or heavy metals or radioactive fallout from the eventual Nuclear Cascade or contamination from letting dead bodies pile up, etc) will be abundant and regular, and exist within a framework that provides for discrete signs and symptomology and a comprehensive system of "conditions" that can affect/cause other conditions (as symptoms etc). This will allow for me to both change the "zombie virus" roughly as you've described, in addition to introducing *additional variants and strains of the Knox virus* with different pathology, symptomology, causes, and widely different potential therapeutic pathways. I'm still thinking about the possibility of providing for a "respawn" system for player deaths, for those who aren't totally ripped apart and eaten by a horde -- for example, if you die from a singular zombie bite and accumulated damage, your faction could pick up your corpse item and return it to the safehouse (theirs or yours) to "respawn"/resuscitate the character. This would come with the implication that (various types) of anti-zombification "curatives" can be crafted and/or acquired with extreme effort, allowing characters to functionally vaccinate themselves against bite wounds, for example. As you can tell, the stuff relating to the zombie virus is still up-in-the-air in terms of what I'll decide to go with at the end of the day, and I likely won't decide until after implementing the broader system and balancing out the "normal" conditions in-game, but the goal is for (most of the strains of) the Knox virus to be *treatable but to not be curable.* That is to say, being bit by a zombie will result in a *permanent zombie bite scar* that poses a permanent risk of Knox viral flare-ups, and requires constant, permanent investment in treating the symptoms and preventing said flare-up (in particular by ensuring the rest of your general health and fitness are maintained, especially nutrition and other metabolically important activities), and accumulating additional zombie bites simply compounds the issue (I should have mentioned I intend to introduce a "Scarring" system, alongside but separate from the current Injury/Health system that exists in vanilla) and requires additional effort. The assumption is that almost every very-long-lived player in a long-time server with a developed economy will, at one point or another, be exposed to the Knox virus and require permanent therapeutics going forward, such that said anti-zombification medical industry can exist as a perpetual "industry" on said servers (providing for end-game raids or other comparable content, for example to acquire very rare reagents needed to make the therapeutic vaccines or whatever, haven't decided). TL;DR: That's a great idea! Great minds think alike. 😉
Not a perfect fit, but the Antibodies mod does allow your immune system to fight of the infection as long as you take good care of yourself. You'll still become sick and start losing health, so you can't obviously tell if it's survivable or not. But most importantly you can change it's settings so that when you have survived the infection your character gets a permanent boost to their resilience to the virus, or be permanently weakened towards it.
The irrigation mod is brilliant and should be a thing you can do in the base game. With the smart pipes i haven't actuality needed to water my crops at all
Man i love your videos,i have been playing with the cracked version of pz for a while but once i actually buy it im definetly gonna use on if these mods
I really liked the Plain Moodles mod when I tried it a bit ago, but I found the icons a little too small for my liking. I know there’s a “big moodles” mod out there as well but those are comically large 😅 the Plain Moodles being even just a fraction larger would help a bit.
I think a great vanilla + mod is one that allows you to spawn/start your run at different/unique places. I have downloaded a mod that allows to spawn/start somewhere random in Louisville and it has been great. Also its funny when you turn it on true random for the whole map and you spawn just completely nowhere in thr farmland fields with like 0 stuff around you. It forces you to play differently and make you try out new stuff :) I like it
i kind of like that louisville is an endish game goal you have to travel to and be prepared xD.... i spent hours clearing the wrecks on roads from muldrugh to louisville and removed the barricades and had spare cars back at my safe house incase i died so i could get back, (characters still alive its done well)
I would say that Lifestyle Hobbies is the biggest must to be added in the vanilla game. Because otherwise it becomes boring if our characters can't have their fun, this is what we would do IRL if we already set everything up in a place.
Hello Duck! Thank you for introducing the First Aid Overhaul Mod, this is HerioJohnX and I am the concept designer and the sponsor of this mod! I am glad you like this mod!
It's kind of bad to blow hot air on your hands and create friction when rubbing them together for heat, unless its needed for temporary warmth, like fiddling with some small things. in a TLDR body limits the blood reaching outer limbs to preserve core heat when its cold, thats why your hands and feet get cold the first. :)
Been looking for exactly that vehicle mod for awhile For some reason searching something is harder than just stumbling on it Could only find model/brand specific vehicle armor mods
That gun mod seemed interesting, but it looks backwards. A shotgun or rifle would be a LOT easier to use than a handgun, and would require considerably less training and practice to be proficient with.
If you're gonna be needing to stitch deep wounds in your playthrough, don't get first aid overhaul. It requires you to have level 3 first aid to stitch and I doubt anyone is gonna be leveling to 3 just to do that.
As farming currently stands in the game, the irrigation mod is pointless and not needed. Furrow the fields and wait, when the first rain starts then plant anything you want. By the time the rain stops, the plants have been fully watered and will easily remain intact until the next rain falls to reset them, so you might as well not bother with watering them (unless they become both infested and diseased at the same time).
The irrigation mod doesn't have to be used for farming, you can also use it to link rain collectors together to make a nice "massive" water system for when the water goes out. Place your collectors above the sink(s) then build out more then pipe them together. So that mod has a dual-role to it.
Nine rain collectors placed above a single sink are more than enough for anything we currently need in the game. I honestly cannot imagine anything in the game guzzling more than 3600 units of water between two rains (or during the winter when common sense suggests water-related things shouldn't be relied on).
In the section with the Dynamic Backpack Upgrades, it's showing a tetris style inventory. Is there a Tetris inventory mod that works with Dynamic Backpack Upgrades?
Tetris inventory gets no backpack idea wrong. You start with too little space and no 4 tile piece so you can't pick up cereal for example. You should start with one 4 tile box. It would be cool if original inventory expanded as you wear jeans or coat but i guess it's just a headache to implement as having items full inventory and taking off clothes would conflict
The Tetris mod improvements look cool Too bad it's not compatible w the search function and looks like fixing that is a low priority for the improvements author :/
I've made quite a few :) I will never put together a mod collection that covers all of them though, no. Many of them become outdated or unsupported so this suits me better.
I cover the Thursdoid every time it comes out, so if you want the latest those videos are your best bet :) To summarise: No release date yet. Every PZ update takes a very long time, so strap in for a wait.
@@MrAtomicDuck Seems that they've solved it a bit differently. There is a green circle around the zombie you're aiming at. With both mods enabled, you have the circle and the crosshair and, from a brief testing session, I believe that the crosshair doesn't have a big impact.
Noticed there was no map mods Would of been cool if there were some that didnt conflict w Vanilla areas for this video As in maps that don't overwrite vanilla locations, and instead ad areas to the empty parts of the world ;u;;
The medical overhaul and the dynamic backpack makes the game more difficult and tedious in my opinion. Im trying to escape from tarkov and not play tarkov
The following is my personal opinion of the showcase. No one else needs to agree or disagree, and I'm not saying the modders' work isn't appreciated. I think it's great that they're trying to enhance the player experience. Dynamic Backpack upgrade: You demonstrated this while using another mod that complemented it, but I'm assuming it would still increase capacity without the Tetris storage? Invisible Clothing Patches: Complete BS; you should accept the risk for fashion versus protection. It only further shows your dedication to the fashion. However, if it would allow inner patches with minor details and outer patches as we see now, I think it would be more forgivable. Rope Climbing & Jumping: It makes perfect sense; if you spot zombies below that you didn't see before, there's no way you would normally just keep descending. Imagine being able to jump to the side from a rope to the next tile below to the right or left. Would be a huge +. Also in your clips you were always going up or down so unsure if you can just hang there. If not, that as well. Just hanging about. Climb Down the Rope: Nothing wrong with wanting better animation. Standarized Vehicle Upgrade: Adding armor to vehicles is a win in my books. However, chained tires should be primarily for winter traction, and when not used during icy or snowy conditions, they should damage condition and durability, not extend it. Plain Moodles: This is simply a UI aesthetics thing, perhaps more useful for beginners, but otherwise, it's meh. Warm Up: I think it's fine and would need testing to see if it's balanced cause that alone just isn't enough to survive when unprepared against the extreme elements. The method seems ineffective at and below(32°F or 0°C). It should include hand warmers, and heating up rocks on a campfire and other methods of warming to truly live up to its name. Hide: If you can still be found when hiding, then sure, but also, meh. Unless it deals with heli better than just staying inside. I like to have the helicopter as a recurring event. While I'm already accustomed to clearing out my entire area before it arrives and keeping tabs on the emergency radio station, it could be useful in a pinch. Jump: It would need testing. How well does it work with the 'walk to' command? It doesn't seem automated, and my spacebar is already reserved for combat. It should also further increase exhaustion on use. Advanced Trajectory's Realistic Overhaul: It's debatable. There's supposed to be a difference between the player's skills and the character's skills, and this mod is simply a way to opt from one to the other. Stairs Alert: I simply dislike that it counts the number of zombies. Other than that, having some form of alert is fine. We know that some zombies just refuse to go downstairs, no matter how much noise you make. Inventory Tetris: Does it include auto-organize? Is there a way to quickly loot or place items instead of dragging? Can we still alt/shift + click? Needs testing. Life Style Hobbies: There's nothing wrong with bringing life into a game surrounded by the dead. It would be cool if the type of music played could affect the player character's emotions in both negative and positive ways. For example, increasing sadness but reducing anxiety, or increasing anxiety but also reducing boredom. Then, there could be the normal variants that decrease sadness, decrease boredom, and decrease anxiety. First Aid Overhaul: The syringes alone are terrible. And I'm not convinced it's the answer for an overhaul. Cure sickness is BS; it should alleviate symptoms for a period of time, not outright cure the sickness. Antibiotics for a bacterial infection, sure, but viruses aren't handled that easily. Adrenaline Syringe: It's being used in a too-gamey sense and not the realistic sense that Project Zomboid attempts. It should have a lot more side effects when used in non-emergency situations, and although it's unclear how it's being handled, too much use should cause even further side effects if not death. There's a reason why EMS isn't happy with people misusing it. I think the overhaul needs an overhaul. Irrigation Pipes for Farming...: Honestly, it's pretty cool. It's debatable whether it should require a magazine or video on proper irrigation techniques, but automating an operation with a little know-how is pretty rewarding and can save time, which is a win. Out of all these, I plan to try rope climbing, Standard Vehicle, and irrigation for personal use, and Lifestyle for multiplayer use.
we need a no rules pvp server, every two mounth reset, whith some cool mods , crafting gas for welding and repair every car part and with more cars... becouse its cancer to find a good server
I need some advice.. Buying a gaming computer desktop is so damn complicated man.. I was looking and trying to figure out what I need to play Project Zomboid and only project Zomboid and everything is so damn complicated to figure out bro.. it seriously made me want to pull my hair out and I legit gave up.. I don't want to spend 1000 or more dollars so I can just play one game man.. makes me honestly sad that I can only watch videos of this game. And if I want to Play only this game I have to invest so much money to play only one game. Im honestly sad right now.. smh.. why can't there be like a 3 or 400 dollars computer that can play JUST a couple games. It's ridiculous.. I could go buy a gaming console like Xbox or PlayStation if there is a new game I want to play for just couple hundred bucks but not a damn computer. That's why so many people don't get into computer games man. And I honestly want to do much but it's all so complicated man.. anyone with advice or want to point me in a direction to possibly make it simple to find a PC that I can buy just to play Project Zomboid and nothing else. I don't even want to get online with the dam thing. Just a computer that can play the one game and that's it.. not even multiplayer..I mean.. I have WiFi and whatever... But I only use it for my phone and TV. Nothing else. Any advice and I'd seriously love you for life. . 😅🤦🏻♂️😒 Or just tell me what im looking for is not possible so I can just go ahead and get over it and stop stressing myself out..
Sorta sounds like you already know the answer, but buying a PC for one singular game doesn't really make financial sense and I'd advise against it. PC's are expensive, especially for a good build. You should do some research on other games you might enjoy and use the "Recommended Specifications" on their Steam Pages to inform your PC research/decisions. There are MILLIONS of games out there, and I'm sure you'll find some other things you'd be interested in playing with a bit of research. You could probably get a half-decent one for $500-600, but imo it's always worth saving for a while and getting something that will see you right for a few years before you have to change parts or look at something new. TL:DR - PC's are expensive. Save up and buy something that will last a few years. Do not buy a PC for one game, instead, find some more games you might want to play. If you can't, perhaps a PC isn't the best choice for you.

All this game needs are NPC’s that work in multiplayer… superb survivors is great, but I wanna experience it with friends.
Tetris inventory gets no backpack idea wrong. You start with too little space and no 4 tile piece so you can't pick up cereal for example. You should start with one 4 tile box. It would be cool if original inventory expanded as you wear jeans or coat but i guess it's just a headache to implement as having items full inventory and taking off clothes would conflict
who isnt familiar with braven mods? pretty common sense to check them out
Inventory tetris is often buggy for me not letting me organise my inventory
I wonder if there is a mod that removes zombie's acid-like properties when it comes to vehicle damage.
What I would love to see is an overhaul of Electrician leveling. Its pretty dumb.
So, obvious question. Dynamic backpacks and tetris inventory, are they compatible?
Are you going to add/update your workshop mod packs with these?
The Tetris mod improvements look cool
Too bad it's not compatible w the search function and looks like fixing that is a low priority for the improvements author :/
Lifestyle hobbies does affect survival. With meditation you literally never need to eat again. Nevertheless, I do absolutely love that mod
where did the chapters segmentation go? is youtube just not doing that anymore?
do you think youll ever make a workshop collection of mods you recommend for zomboid
I've made quite a few :) I will never put together a mod collection that covers all of them though, no. Many of them become outdated or unsupported so this suits me better.
@MrAtomicDuck thats reasonable
what was the name of the mod he mentions at the end of the standardized vehicle upgrades section?
I'll buy the duck also. But I'm curious. Where and how do I get a plushie made ?? Any help would be greatly! Appreciated!!!
Are there any more updates with B42? I was hoping not to die of old age before its release...
I cover the Thursdoid every time it comes out, so if you want the latest those videos are your best bet :)
To summarise: No release date yet. Every PZ update takes a very long time, so strap in for a wait.
PCSupportOPS is your biggest fan
Du you know if the Advanced Trajectory's Realistic Overhaul (I've paused the video and wrote down those words...) works with the Bow and Arrow Mod?
I'm not sure unfortunately! Sorta depends if the bow and arrow mod in question works like a regular firearm or has it's own system.
@@MrAtomicDuck Seems that they've solved it a bit differently. There is a green circle around the zombie you're aiming at. With both mods enabled, you have the circle and the crosshair and, from a brief testing session, I believe that the crosshair doesn't have a big impact.
Still waiting for a mod that lets me pickups fences and place it like i do in real life.
Beaver, can I get a quack quack
does the irrigation mod allow you to use tainted water, such as lakes, as a water source?
I believe it has to be wired to a rain collector, but those can be easily filled by rain :)
Noticed there was no map mods
Would of been cool if there were some that didnt conflict w Vanilla areas for this video
As in maps that don't overwrite vanilla locations, and instead ad areas to the empty parts of the world ;u;;
Eerie county
I wish the modding community would put more content on Nexus Mods. Those of us who bought this game from GoG are being left out in the cold.
Nexus is barley used for pz and the mods that are on there are either for b40 or below or just not the best mods sadly
what this game badly needs is a way to save/reload your game from a previous save.
The medical overhaul and the dynamic backpack makes the game more difficult and tedious in my opinion. Im trying to escape from tarkov and not play tarkov
i have a mod for those who
want to keep vanilla guns, vanilla
Mod name: "Vanilla Firearms Remodeled"
(Sadly i can't add the link)
earlyyy
Thanks for watching!
1 year already?
Man... I feel old.
How many hours do you have on zomboid? Just curious
My guess is he has around 1000 idk
6:00
5:25
7:30
4:15
the modlist link is private?
Thank you for making me aware! Steam being Steam and says its awaiting approval... Should fix itself very soon.
What's the BGM?
The following is my personal opinion of the showcase. No one else needs to agree or disagree, and I'm not saying the modders' work isn't appreciated. I think it's great that they're trying to enhance the player experience.
Dynamic Backpack upgrade:
You demonstrated this while using another mod that complemented it, but I'm assuming it would still increase capacity without the Tetris storage?
Invisible Clothing Patches:
Complete BS; you should accept the risk for fashion versus protection. It only further shows your dedication to the fashion. However, if it would allow inner patches with minor details and outer patches as we see now, I think it would be more forgivable.
Rope Climbing & Jumping:
It makes perfect sense; if you spot zombies below that you didn't see before, there's no way you would normally just keep descending. Imagine being able to jump to the side from a rope to the next tile below to the right or left. Would be a huge +. Also in your clips you were always going up or down so unsure if you can just hang there. If not, that as well. Just hanging about.
Climb Down the Rope:
Nothing wrong with wanting better animation.
Standarized Vehicle Upgrade:
Adding armor to vehicles is a win in my books. However, chained tires should be primarily for winter traction, and when not used during icy or snowy conditions, they should damage condition and durability, not extend it.
Plain Moodles:
This is simply a UI aesthetics thing, perhaps more useful for beginners, but otherwise, it's meh.
Warm Up:
I think it's fine and would need testing to see if it's balanced cause that alone just isn't enough to survive when unprepared against the extreme elements. The method seems ineffective at and below(32°F or 0°C). It should include hand warmers, and heating up rocks on a campfire and other methods of warming to truly live up to its name.
Hide:
If you can still be found when hiding, then sure, but also, meh. Unless it deals with heli better than just staying inside. I like to have the helicopter as a recurring event. While I'm already accustomed to clearing out my entire area before it arrives and keeping tabs on the emergency radio station, it could be useful in a pinch.
Jump:
It would need testing.
Stairs Alert:
I simply dislike that it counts the number of zombies. Other than that, having some form of alert is fine. We know that some zombies just refuse to go downstairs, no matter how much noise you make.
Inventory Tetris:
Does it include auto-organize? Is there a way to quickly loot or place items instead of dragging? Can we still alt/shift + click? Needs testing.
Life Style Hobbies:
There's nothing wrong with bringing life into a game surrounded by the dead.
First Aid Overhaul:
The syringes alone are terrible.
Irrigation Pipes for Farming...:
Honestly, it's pretty cool.
I'm happy for you or sorry that happened
@@MrAtomicDuck No worries. I know it's an intimidating amount of text. You can consider the last sentence as the TLDR alternative.
I realy dont like the tetris mod. It turns zomboid into another game
Into tetris i guess
Just me or the background music oddly loud.
No louder than any other of my videos :)
yo the link for the mods is private or hidden it says "The item is either marked as hidden or you do not have permission to view it."
Should be fixed!
@@MrAtomicDuck it works, thanks!

Would that computer run project Zomboid?
That should run Project Zomboid okay. It won't run many newer games, but it should play a lot of older games and indie games just fine.
Wasn't interested in the gun mod, dime a dozen n all that as you do
Till you mentioned that starting w the pistol is best. I get that a shotgun is probably easier to land shots
But it really rubbed me the wrong way that it was harder to wield a pistol than a shotgun
Mod name?
No britas gun mod
