In this Do It Yourself video tutorial series, I am explaining and demonstrating How To Paint Old Weathered Barn Fast using Zinsser Peel Stop Triple Thick Binding Primer and Top coating it with Sherwin Williams Rejuvenate and Sherwin Williams Duration Exterior Paint. I Prep the Barn first by pressure washing the surface with a gas powered MI-TM Work Pro 3000 PSI pressure washer. Pressure washing before painting is a chance to remove all dirt, debris, and cobwebs before priming and painting. It''s Important to wash your house or barn so that the new coat has the best chance to bond with the undercoat. by cleaning off all the gunk, we can make sure the paint goes on smoothly, not just rolling over dirt. I also pressure wash the concrete stairs. I show you how to sand down the peeling door casing and peeling areas on the barn. I use my Makita hand sander and a 5 in One tool to achieve this. I then Prime or Seal in the weathered surface with Zinsser Peel Stop Triple Thick Binding Primer. This High Build Primer/Sealer goes on easily with little to no surface friction, and preserves your paint brush from getting ruined or worn out. I apply the Zinsser Peel Stop Triple Thick Binding Primer with a 3 inch angled Corona Excaliber Chinex bristle paint brush.Home renovation.
