What area would you like the build more confidence in? 💪
I would like to build my confidence in talking comfortably with other people whom I don't know. How do you think I should go about to do it?
Pick Up Limes cooking your recipes. Or recipes in general. Always afraid it would be inedible. I am a new subscriber and new to cooking. Tried out 3 pick up limes recipe. Ate them all. Were very good.
Grocery shopping is scary to me since I had to ask many of the grocers what many of the ingredients are. Lost 7 lbs from cooking for myself. Not intentional but feel better about making my own meals.
Pick Up Limes Hi Sadia, thank you so much for making this video, I have trouble often times with eye contact 😌 trying to work on that .. I wonder if others struggle with that.
Pick Up Limes,
" Thanks for your kindness with your message, Sadia ! "
In public speaking 😭
"We overestimate what we can do in a day and underestimate what we can do in a lifetime".. so deep and so true
I love this quote !!
love this so much
Shouldn’t it have been the other way around
Sowmya B what the quote means is that persistence is key.
❤️❤️♥️
As a single dad to a fourteen year old daughter, I want to thank you for your videos. You are the strong and POSITIVE female roll model that she always needed in her life. And she absolutely adores you.
After years of emotional abuse from her mother, she is deeply wounded and sees you as a beacon of hope. I am here for her everyday with love, patience, and understanding. But you epitomize the woman she needed in her life rather than the one she had.
Again, thank you. You mean a lot to my little girl. And she means everything to me.
You’re doing a great job 💖
God bless you, what you and your daughter are searching for is Jesus. He loves you.
As humans we will always fail, he is faithful.
God bless you
Beautiful, Tom. Absolutely beautiful. I agree with you - Sadia is an amazing woman. I wish you and your girl all the best.

From one who doesn't have confidence
Confidence comes from being comfortable in your own skin. It comes when you 'can' smile like you do. Your smile comes from a place of self-acceptance, from a place of satisfaction of where you are right now, with the hope of where you'll be. Did you work for that smile? Or were you born with it? You smile with your eyes and I bet your heart too.
...
Some tears later...
Confidence comes when you just be instead of trying to be.
Confidence comes when you accept yourself as you are.. as raw as you are.
Confidence comes when you realise that one person accepts, acknowledges and appreciates your being. It is heaven if that is person is yourself.
...
You're blessed more than you know
and I hope you remember that when you're feeling low.
Lots of Love)
To you and
The one who reads it.
I love the way you speak, its like you are talking to me privately just the 2 of us. So soothing..
When people compliment me, I usually respond by saying “Thank you for the encouragement!” It’s better than deflecting the praise, and it also acknowledges that I appreciate their words. :) Great video!
Wonderful comments

You have good heart
God bless you
My heartfully wishes to you
Wow
You could tell us something in dutch at the end of every video and put subtitles in english. That way you would practice and maybe some of your subscribers would learn a word or two in dutch.
That is a cool and interesting idea!
Cool idea 😎
I was thinking the same thing! Or maybe just a word in Dutch.. I don’t need to learn it myself but I like it when people speak Dutch.
Would love this as well. I live in The Netherlands and find it challenging to learn Dutch. 👍
That will be super cool
The fact that you smile a lot, makes you more adorable and make us feel the positive vibes you exude. Keep it up!
1. Be Good at Something--> Confidence
2. Goals--> Chunk down into Steps
3. Realistically Challenging--> Flow State
4. Rewarding--> Look upto Achievements
I learnt these from the video. :)
Dear Sadia,
I don't often comment on anybody's video, but I need to express my gratitude.
Thank you for giving me a life I've always wanted to live.
🙏❤️
@@PickUpLimes I love you!!
I think you should be most grateful to yourself! ❤️ Because you are the only one who really gave you the life you wanted, with much inspiration because of Sadia of course! :D
@@femkes3014 of course! :D
Woo..can u tell me how u did that..😇
I had no confidence as a child, due to the people around me who made it a point to break my confidence. But I worked on myself and now I am confident and love my life. I think that family and friends can make or break your confidence. Thank you for the video.
How did you learn to ignore them or fight against them? I think I'm in a similar situation, and it ruins my life. I rather do nothing than try and fail and further confirm that I am useless. I so helplessly fear failing yet I still know that not trying is a 100% fail.
Well done Esther, and yes the people around you can have a huge impact on one's confidence :)
Same here
Ultimately the choice is always yours...in your heart of hearts you should know to ignore any negativeness and only listen to positiveness even if it only comes from within.
@@iwua37 I studied the most in my family. I am not a very smart student but when I try I do get by with hard work. I have a good job, and they do not as they just gave more importance to their looks. My confidence was low because I was not the best looking due to my dark colour and they did make it a point to tell me that I am the darkest which indirectly mean not beautiful.
Knowledge is power and I got above them and got my confidence by learning things. I would suggest do not be afraid of making mistakes and try to ignore them. Increase your knowledge because knowledge will build up your confidence. Also, I would suggest whenever possible go and volunteer. Volunteering taught me so much and also boasted my confidence. It is a win-win situation because you give and you get ten folds. Good Luck to you.
One of my professors says repetition is the mother of skill
it was mother of success actually

I always wanna be a confident person. I can't even stand by group of people with confidence. Public gathering always makes me feel uncomfortable. Hope i will overcome it.

Ive missed you. Your voice is soothing and videos are uplifting :)

I think confidence is the byproduct of how much a person has worked on himself.....
Although there are some exceptions
Confidence and self-esteem are my goals for the future . i hope to improve my confidence and self-esteem I pray to God I will achieve my goals. Amen
“The no.1 way to build confidence is to build competence meaning getting really good at something.
And the only way of getting good at something is to put in the time; repetition, doing it over and over again and being really subbornly persistent.”
YESSS! Thanks Sadia🙌🏼 Love thiiis.
Actually we missed you. Especially your soothing voice.
Ritesh Mahato yes! 😊✨
One thing that works well for me in building up confidence, is to revisit previous projects/work I've done. It is so easy for us to constantly raise the bar for what is the standard, that we overlook how much we have grown. Revisiting old work helps realise, that what we can do today, we may only have dreamed about one year ago.
Thank you for putting yourself out there and sharing these lovely videos.
Ooh revisiting old work that you’re proud of is def confidence-boosting!
Underrated comment!
I don't know why...But I cried watching this video as I realised that I underestimate myself for years, not knowing that I can be better by starting small. I've burden myself so many times by forcing myself to do things that I'm not good at & neglecting the areas where I'm really good at.
Thank u Sadia for waking me up.🌹
Much love from Malaysia 💗💗💗
Agreed! I believe confidence is built through *_time, effort & experience_*
Have a wonderful day everyone :)
Thank you and wish you the same

Firstly you're beautiful, your dark hair and your smile is flattering.
Secondly this was aesthetic
Thirdly, QUALITY conteny

I love when people can show their imperfections and make fun of them. No one is perfect. Doing this actually shows true confidence and makes you more "real" to your audiences. Really love your channel. :)
Also your plants and vines in your studio look heavenly 🥰

I missed you... You're a ray of light
Pickup Limes has been such a source of inspiration and positivity for me since 2018. Her videos always seem to come at the right time, filling me with motivation and joy. She truly brings relatable content and adds so much value to life. Whenever I need a boost or feel like I'm lacking certain qualities, her channel is my go-to. Here's to the positive vibes she spreads! I'm usually more of a silent viewer, but I just had to express my appreciation this time. And here I am, finding myself back again on this video because I needed to re-boost my confidence.
I can totally relate to it and attest the fact that "To increase your confidence, you need to improve your competence". I had been struggling in my early months of my first job and with time as I improved my competence, I felt confident with what I do.
Beautifully said,
Love ❤️🤗
You seem like an introvert but exceptionally articulate.. You speak on behalf of them ♥️
I think I need to build my self-confidence back by standing up for myselfbecause of other people a lot of times I don't say what I truly feel or do what I truly feel and I'm paying the price for it I guess that's not meaning to say that I'll stay down forever but how do you get up and how do you build your confidence after you've been down for so and I'm trying to make peace with the past year brings me some peace give me a way out because I really don't want to be in the same place feeling the samegrab situation can you please give me some pointers on how to feel better and how to make it through the day by day
@@michelleturner4052 The answer is within you. Because the best answer comes from us. We are the sum of our thoughts and emotions. So be aware of your thoughts and picture your life and yourself how you want it to be. Your life will change for the good, with practice.
Good words
The bloopers were so cute. I have missed these videos a lot.
OMG I can hear you all day long. such a relaxing voice. please keep posting your videos, they are so uplifting
Her voice makes me feel like I have my life together and what i am doing is right and I can Do IT.
Thank you for it 💖
Love the phrase "confidence by building competence"! And that needs time and effort.
I went through a period at work where I was in a new position at the same company and I was the newest one on the team. Everyone was super nice but I just felt like I'd never be as good as those people, and they all must do the job so easily and I was surely the only one that was struggling. For reference, I work in software deployment for a multinational software company. I work with 6 or 7 clients at a time to set up their software, understand their business needs, etc.
A few things that helped me to gain confidence:
1. As Sadia said, just practice helped immensely. Finding answers on my own instead of running to a teammate first gave me a sense of accomplishment.
2. Basically jumping off the deep end and realizing that hey, I'm likeable - my customers like me, and realizing they didn't expect me to have every answer to every off the wall question they had. Learning to be honest and say, "You know what? I'm not 100% sure, but let me research that and get back to you by tomorrow.
3. Honestly, hearing from the more tenured members of the team that they get nervous too. Knowing that I wasn't alone in my pre-meeting jitters, and that they go through the same struggles, helped me.
4. Finally, and probably the biggest one - soon, I wasn't the newest on the team anymore. And I was expected to help the newer team members. Helping to answer their questions and teaching them how to do things made me realize how much I DID know, taking away my usual focus on how much I still didn't know.
Not sure if this will help anyone, but I'm happy to say I'm totally over it and feel very confident at work now. 😊 Great video as always.
Passion ➕hardwork =success
U remind me of how powerful one can be by simply being truthful/genuine.
Missed these videos! So awesome as always 💓🦋
I wish you’d put out a video everyday, that’s how much I love your channel 😂
It was so nice to see the bloopers, you look even more warm and approachable, knowing that you are not always 100% composed and calm, like you seem in the videos. You seem like an amazing human being.
You’re one person whose video I watch from start to end without forwarding or exiting halfway through ♥️ much love! You’re my role model!
„We overestimate what we can do in a day and we underestimate what we can do in a lifetime” - this is going to be my new favourite quote! ❤️🙏🏼
Hi Sadia 😊 I completely agree with this video. The two major points that I can connect are 1. Repeating the same thing again and again to gain confidence with it and 2. When someone accomplishes for something that have done I used to reply like you did earlier but now I started learning to accept it and started feeling more confident now. Also I request you to make a video to overcome Inferiority complex as many faces this issue in some point of time in their life.
I feel so healthy and blessed watching this gorgeous angel talk. It’s like heaven on earth. I can just imagine what heaven what be like someday such a nice place.
It's soo cool you can be both very calm person with a soothing voice and a playful one who screams DAMN IT in the kitchen. Love you!
Competence brings me confidence for sure 😉 Thanks for everything Sadia!
I've been learning Dutch this year as well since I've been planning to move to the Hague, I empathize on how difficult it is, but we'll get it!! Thanks for all your videos, your channel teaches me so much 💙
I love listening you, watching your videos and just, “being with you”? It just make me relaxed, comfortable and calm. Thank you for everything you do ❤️
I love this message. It's good to see the behind the scenes and how you work your way to a perfect video. Often times we look at a finished product and how flawless it looks and beat ourselves down for not being as flawless and yet it's part of the journey. Thanks so much for sharing.
One thing I learned that made a huge difference. Try and enjoy the journey, savor it. There's absolutely no rush.
Please do these videos more! You're literally making me a better person and I learn so much from you. Please don't ever stop what you're doing- you honestly have a gift & you should continue to share it with the world. God bless you you're truly a ray of sunshine.
I love how comfortable you make the viewers feel. Seeing you smile, I just feel so positive and happy. I want to let you know that you're doing a great job! Keep going!

Omg your timing is perfect. I’ve been wanting to watch a video on confidence and your video is the perfect one. Love everything you mentioned. In fact it put me in a different mood altogether. Love you and keep making such amazing videos. Love all the way from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
That kind of video I needed to watch. I’ve been living in Canada for 2 years I came to work even I did not speak English well I am still struggling to learn and to speak, sometimes I wanna give up everything and just come back to my comfort zone. I know I have to practice to getting better but some days are really hard to keep trying. Today was the day that I was doubting of myself I was thinking if I am really capable to keep fighting to express myself better than I can express in Portuguese. I came to your channel and listening your voice I could see some light ahead 😂 Thank you so much!
Are you American.
Just found your channel, Sadia. I love your whole vibe, tbh. Your voice is really comforting and you seem like a genuine person who is meant to create. I want to get more confident at creating, sharing my creations, and sharing more in general about my struggles with chronic illness. I want to "make my mess my message this year", and I know I will need confidence to get there. Thanks for the implementable tips.
I just sat here with my cup of tea and was so emotional this entire video. You have such a way with words where it resonates because you’re so calm yet passionate about what you’re saying. I’m struggling to find my confidence after a break up because I really lost my sense of self in the relationship. Now that I’m on my own two feet, I’m figuring out who I am and who I want to be, your wisdom about getting good at something sparked something in me. And for now, I want to be a good daughter, a good friend, and a most importantly a good human being. ❤️
I’m starting a RUclips channel and I’m nervous and don’t have much confidence even when I haven’t started yet. Listening to you saying that you were nervous and felt vulnerable too gives me hope and positivity because I really admire you, and I think you’re a great youtuber. Thank you, Sadia ❤️

The ability to speak in front of my cohort and not worry about being judged. To get through public speaking in school without having to feel so anxious; like I genuinely cannot breathe.
And definitely, to be able to have a good conversation w/ anyone without it being awkward.
This is not the video that i deserved... but the video that i needed
Your smile gives me confidence than your speech such a pretty and worth smile I enjoyed a lot Thank you.
This video means so much to me. I want to thank you. I also think acknowledging one’s own competence takes some initial confidence to believe one’s good at something. Confidence in even just our potential and ability to change empowers an action to continue building a skill. And you’re a great exemplar for this. As your RUclips viewer, I am growing with you. I love all your motivational videos as well as all other nutritional diet videos. I need them because I have not yet built a consistent self-discipline like you have. I am just fortunate enough to have the realization and to have found your channel.
Love the warm and cozy vibe!
