Love it!! You made it work and who ever tells you anything negative opinion tell them they are like assholes everyone has one. The mud mixer was what I came from but the only problem I have and I gotta give it to you my boy!! You spent $2000 bucks on a mud mixer but you couldn’t spend $20 bucks on a edger? I gotta give it to you hahahaha love it and love the F ATTITUDE
I don’t know how well a concrete leveling product works for outdoor usage. Honestly, the top of my step shows a lot of the stone that came to the surface and I think it looks great. there’s a difference between poor workmanship, and subjective style differences. I think a lot of homes today are cookie-cutter and people don’t think outside of the box, especially when you live in one area. Travel around from state to state and country to country and there are millions of individual styles
@@barnandhome I can see that. You seem content with it and that's what matters. The only other thought that comes to mind is something my old man did with our standard sidewalk and steps leading to our house. He used decorative half-thick bricks to create a very attractive pattern as part of the entry into our home. That would make any "imperfections" others might see in your completely irrelevant. Still, the look you have works aesthetically, so that's what matters. I'm inspired by the DIY video.
Your concrete is not going to be strong when you put too much water in it! Looks to me like you have about 15 - 20 % too much water in it. Use a bucket for the water, 80 lbs of Quickcrete needs 3 quarts of water, but we can add a cup or so more to make it run better. No MORE! I can mix 7 x 80lb bags of Quickcrete in 22 minutes with a hoe and a mixing tub. Keeping the fat off and saving 4 grand.
Crazy fast machine. 1 helper is nice, just to watch the hopper. What a dream. Love it.
I have that broken level 😂
I just bought my...great
Thanks for your video
No boots? Crazy!

RUclips is a tough crowd!
WOW! I'm going to respect your wishes.
Way too wet of a mix. That would crack in our weather in 1 season
It was a super hot day. But the pad has been fine for over a year here in northern Indiana. No cracks!
If the surface is too rough, couldn't you smooth it out later with some quantity of a liquid concrete leveler?

Yeah it was soupy. In the end I really like the look with the aggregates coming to the surface. For being a step onto my porch it’s perfect.
@@barnandhome Concrete is Supposed to be for STRENGTH not a work of art. You need plaster for art jobs BTW.
Sure, in most applications. As they say, “my concrete looks great from your house.”
@@barnandhome 'They'? Must be as dumb as a sack of watery mud ... lol
Don't go barefoot in the cement mix !!!
In most of the content I see on the mixer, the concrete looks soupy to me.
It's the water regulator on it just gotta mess with it to get the type of slump you want.
The tool sucks way to slow
Slump = Strength
The slump in this mud is about 138”. 😂
That low slump helped give it an old world feel…. Like 300 yr old concrete in Europe!
