Hello
I like watching your movies very much. In these films, I see how you work yourself, sometimes on several machines at the same time. I am the main service technician of sorting and packaging systems French-Spanish company "MAF RODA". I have been traveling for repairs for many years and like you, I had to learn to count mainly on myself. Best regards.
P.S. I must add that I work in the Polish branch, not directly for MAF.

Hi Andrew. I couldn't help but here a little squeak in your truck when you took off with the loader on the trailer. I've worked for Dodge for many years and it sounds like your idler pulley or your belt tentioner maybe going out. Have a great day and thank you for all the amazing videos.

Great machine! About the savety mess. Keep it, but make it move hydraulic.
Andrew, Great video. I have a few questions regarding the Mix n Go. Now that you have used the mixer do you have any regrets not purchasing the larger 450 mix n go?
How did the 864 handle the weight of the mixer? Do you think that a wheeled skid steer will have difficulty getting around with the added weight of the loaded mixer.
Most of my concrete pours are under 4 Yards and are on sidewalks or patios with the occasional hard to access areas (parking garages) where there is no room for a
redi mix truck, that being said which Mix n Go do you recommend the 250 or the 450. I have a S205 and a A770
The 864 seemed fine. If you are doing bigger pours a bigger one is probably better. The wheel machine will be ok as long as its on hard flat ground. I didnt like using my wheeled machines on muddy hills.
Great intro line (and you use it every single time) "...Let's get to work" - ought to be making a LOT more money. YO NETFLIX.

Yes looking at the company's demo it's intended for readymix concrete so dumping 6 or 7 bags on the grate, the bag-cutter would make that an easy job: But Andrew bakes from scratch. 2:37 am here and why am I watching another Andrew Camarata video? Because I can. Hard working man.
For Sonotubes a shorter 2.5-3' gray chute hose might make life easier while keeping center of gravity lower. The 6' long hose probably great for loading concrete forms through a window opening or in hard to reach corners, but it puts the weight unnecessarily high for most small jobs.

Nice. However for someone who likes Camera Tech, I am amazed you did not build a waterproof enclosure for something like a backup camera next to the bottom chute opening, and have a remote screen in the Skid steer, then you could eliminate the shoot hose altogether. ,

Daddy Steel what?
Daddy
I left the farm and high school at 17 to join the military in the sixties when many were leaving for Canada to avoid the draft. From basic we were shipped straight to "Nam". Yeh, I was looking to get off the farm(exhausted) and needed a change of pace and see the world. Were we heros ? We were never treated like one and it didn't take long for a common sense farm boy to realize something was way "Fishy" about our involvement and policies in Asia. In fact it ended up totally changing my life and understanding. We were not involved in any righteous cause in that 'police action' nor any other "conflict" up to this present day.
We were NOT freeing the Vietnamese from Communist rule ! In fact we were actually killing more innocents every day. It was tragic. I knew with our fire power we could have finished that conflict in ONE DAY! Drop the bomb on Hanoi. We were there for close to 30 yrs. We took over for the French in 1958. WHY ? What were we doing there. ? Same thing we've done with each involvement and provoked conflict. Make money, garner resources (steal !), dictate policy, generally reek havoc, rape and pillage innocents !
Oh big Daddy you don't wanna hear the Truth.
Yes I'm proud of my common brothers and sisters in arms who serve when asked and pay the ultimate price over and over for WHAT & WHY?
So the hard working Americans back home who go to work and make 'sacrifices' to build their families and country are in my opinion just as much 'hero' as those used for the shameful greedy elite who imagine they can dictate humanity's fate.
I know it's a scary thing to actually keep your eyes open in the face of this world's seeming insanity. To keep choosing the honorable hardworking Honest way to get ahead instead of taking the easy route. But how to sleep at nite else we keep on keeping on ?
Maybe that's what attracts me to Andrew and his channel. He is a rather smart, down to earth, soft spoken, hard working American Hero in my book !

Is there any concern about the proper mixture of gravel, sand and concrete? Would it have been more accurate to use 5 gallon buckets as the measuring device to guarantee accuracy?
I would have given some consideration to using five gal buckets to measure the water. That way each batch would have had the same consistency.
Ha ha ha thats the stupidest thing I heard today, you don't know much about what you are saying, evidently marc y you have'nt worked with much concrete at all.
That’s exactly what the instructions for this implement tells you to do.
Yes there is a specific ratio but basically wet it tilll it turns soft an puddy like ... add more water of its too stiff ... add some extra dry ingredients if its too runny
You know it's going to be a good video when it starts with Andrew unloading something from a truck
Using the tube and dropping the concrete from a higher elevation should pack nicely and trap less air.
Bucket of water next time. Would have saved you an hour or so spraying down...
That grill needs to be designed with a quick connect/disconnect
I was thinking a flat bar on each side that could hold the grate up while loading........
SailorAllan like a hood prop. That would work and not cost much more.
He disconnected quickly! 🙂
I'm sure it's a $200 add-on
just cut out half the veins and it will work fine

That is pretty slick! At first with the grate on I was a little skeptical, but without 👍👌
I think the grate is mostly for opening the concrete bags on it while the auger is running so you cant get your arm in it. At least its big enought to let some gravel through.
@@JackMacLupus could be, but if that's the case it's literally only letting you gilet so much material in which would be a really slow process just to open some bags
@@jamesh1402 True. I guess that the mixer was mostly designed to be used with Sand or very small gravel and not that bigger stuff. But thats nothing bad. If Andrew really wants he can easily change that grate a bit so that it lets bigger stuff through too. Or he just takes it off. XD
@@JackMacLupus for sure, I do believe the grate is mostly to keep larger material out, it looks like a flaw, cause we both seen how mich material it's letting in the bucket with it on.
@@JackMacLupus Yeah. Would be good to have some links to hold the grate out of the way while scooping. Drop it down into place when you want it there. But, there's the chance it's going to get bent at some point. Still, getting into tight areas, or rough terrain where one would be having to wheel-barrow the mix and shovel it into the sonotube, is a big benefit.
A smaller retaining wall contractor could really benefit from one of these. He could mix his own as needed throughout the day and not have to stand around waiting on a concrete truck to bring a small batch. I like it.
Grill is probably a safety item preventing an operator falling in; could be loaded fuller using a shovel. Hopper could also be loaded from a separate mixer then used on site as a delivery system.

It’s ok for professionals to use this method but DIYers need to measure more precisely.
I don't know if I'd want to use the "eyeball" method for a structural footing concrete mix. That mix has to be exact for those footings to have the appropriate compressive and tensile strength. Concrete suppliers use computer controlled, volume and weight based dispensers that taylor the mix.

Such a Great vidio Demonstration Andrew. SO MANY great comments and suggestions. Only ONE Problem that atachment like many other similar models is a PURE Piece of JUNK. At 5000$ it was a "make-work " machine. Had another model-brand & it was pure Torture ( you must have not noticed yourself); reasons = poor mixing( even on small batches), loading carrictoristics = bad ( like you had to take the grates OFF), poor metering, & a horrendous amount of TIME for Clean-up.
