- Today I will show you my first time use of the Mud Mixer! I will also give you my expert opinion if you should get it!
Mixing concrete is very hard and dirty job, but it is a part of every large project. Any addition, outside patio work, even installing a mailbox. So this video will be great for DIY enthusiast and the pros!
We will definitely have many uses for it as we are renovating our house!
For anyone that works on fences, this would be great
Are we just going to ignore those holes were full of water? That's never going to dry. 😮🤦♂️
You can pour concrete under water, it doesn't "dry", it sets - chemical reaction
I can mix 2 bags at once and fill them piers faster with a shovel . My personal preference is
This is not for the guy that’s mixing only 2 bags!
@@stevenk5800did you even watch the video
Before buying or indeed using a device like this, take a few minutes to read and understand the chemical reaction that takes place when concrete is mixed and cures. If you find that interesting read a little more on how plasticizers can be used to improve workability and strength. If none of that interests you, hire someone who already knows this stuff and I can nearly guarantee they won’t show up with a mud-mixer!
Are you referring to the mix coming out super wet & soupy?
@@RealJulioSJR I’m actually not referring to that no. I’m speaking in very general terms about how concrete behaves when it is mixed from the perspective of someone who has a reasonable amount of experience using different mixing devices and plasticsing admixtures.
@marcustait79 most of those bags let you choose that stuff too, choose the psi etc.
@@kjruff7786 I wouldn’t rule out using premixed bags for certain applications, but I’d never hire or buy a mud mixer to mix them!
It seemed to have worked perfectly for you, saved alot of hand mixing time.
Definitely!
Do you have any info if such mixer would mix a proper Drypack? Seems to do good with a wet mix 👍
Good job
Useful 😊🎉❤
Tell me about those pier bags.
My car is not big enough, can i take it apart for transportation? What weight is it? Can i move it by myself in my car? Thanks
I've heard 2 guys can lift it into the back of a pickup. You're probably not lifting this alone and definitely not getting it into a car
@@RYTHMICRIOT thanks, I need to upgrade the car first :)
It is a great idea however you can purchase kits and build one yourself for $350. If they sold this for $1000 I would by it but they want to much money for to little parts and materials.
You can get a Kobalt cement mixer at lowes for 399 bucks.
I used it you should to!!!!!!
I rented it
I dont trust a guy who doesnt lace his boots. 🧐
I build my own.
Why not show us real time? I know why
because it's slower than honey
Thats junk.
