Hi Joeskis,
Unfortunately, this process requires the metal to have a special coating that allows the die inks to chemically bond together during production, so no it most likely cannot be done to "dirty" metal to give it a rustic look. We do offer a metal print surface that is a brushed metal silver look, but it's not distressed or "dirty".
