My sister's former boyfriend had a Yorkie named Eddie. Eddie was invited to another dog's birthday party but they had to leave when he bit the guest of honour. The guest of honour was a ROTTWEILER.
I have a wee Yorkie-Maltese, she's turning 4 next week... She had to be taken home on Easter as she kept wanting to attack my cousins dog, who's a whole bulldog 😭
Having owned one that was a mix, (Dad was pure terror uh Yorky, Mom was Pomeranian and American Eskimo), our city has a Rat problem, only once did a rat come into the yard, needless to say I was impressed on how quick my Yorky dispatched it. Unfortunately we also had a rabbit come in the yard. Her Dad latched onto a raccoon, it screamed and tried to run up a tree, Dad was trying to do the head shake but coon was 3 times the weight, finally made it up a tree. Crazy dogs!
Small dog syndrome at work there. Big dogs are generally really laid back but small dogs always seem to think they have something to prove don't they🤣.
I have a yorkie that was adopted 2 times before I got him and he was the most obedient and very affectionate small dog I’ve ever seen. He likes to bark whenever someone knocked the door tho. He’s 8 years old and loves to go outside and walk. I think its a big dog inside a small dog body.😂
It cracks me up every time I see a dog Vanessa is grooming do the, "no thank you," paw, because my cat is so crazy about being brushed will use his paw to hook my arm and drag my hand to the spot he wants if I don't clue in. I do this thing where each time I hold the brush up in front of him and say, "which side?" and he will tilt his head and pull up one cheek--I'm supposed to turn the brush to face that side. He then rubs up against the brush and I am supposed to continue the swipe down the length of his body. If he wants it down his back, he bows his head. If he wants his chest and neck, he tosses his head like he he is saying, "'sup, girl?" He is VERY particular on that chin one, though; if I don't catch the nod, he will hook my arm and drag the brush toward him. If I still don't do it or set the brush down, he will use his paws to try to brush himself. Oh, and he loves having just the top of his head brushed over and over, he will flatten his ears back and tip his head up with his eyes closed like this is the height of all pleasure....the result being that he looks like a sea lion, I swear. Afterward, you HAVE to tell him how handsome he is at least four or five times or he will not leave you alone. We do this every day and because he is shedding on beast mode right now, he is itchy--I am noticing that our little Sir Schrödinger Beauty Session is getting earlier and earlier each day. (My best friend taught him this trick, but she lives in France and isn't here to brush him, so I think that was kinda dirty pool. Like buying someone else's kid a drum set.)
Keeshonds in my experience are super easy going.... But only within their comfort zone. One paw outside it and it is like playing hide and seek with a torpedo
I had 3 regular Keeshonden in my salon when I was grooming regularly, and they were all a dream to groom tbh. They’re one of my favorite breeds! I know that not ever Keeshonden can be perfect, but in my mind they always will be 😂
I don't know if Teddy is purebred or not, but he's one of the best looking yorkies I've ever seen. Actually looks like the pictures from my old 80s and 90s dog breed books and not a 1kg shaking, toothless mess that you could accidentally snap in half by petting them too hard.

yeah Teddy looks to be a proper Yorkie as opposed to the 'teacup' version Vanessa groomed a few... months? ago my sister's best friend growing up had a Yorkie named Bonnie and they had "beware of the dog" signs on the gate after she nearly gave the postman a heart attack

Oh, I never thought I would see this breed on your channel. They are only really known in netherlands and germany and even here they are rare. I've owned a Wolfsspitz (the german bred type of the Keeshond who have easier to groom fur and don't look so "stubby") for 14 years and he has been the best companion I could have wished for. He was hard to train because no treat or toy could ever bribe him, but he was the most loyal dog you could imagine and just loved to do the things to make me happy. Even when he went deaf on his older age I could always walk with him through the forest without a leash because he was always looking out for me. In 2 weeks I will pick up my then 10 weeks old puppy. A Wolfsspitz again, of course ♥
Had a Wolfsspitz as well. I loved him. Such a loyal dog, we didn't need words, that was really a deep bond. But I loved that he never let go of his own personality. It was always a bond of deep respect.
You did a magnificent job on the Keeshond. I had one years ago who was full of fun and love, but when he blew his coat I would comb out 5 large trash bags of fluff from his undercoat. They are clowns and obvious a task to groom!
I grew up with keeshonds, our last family kees passed away a couple years ago. They are SUCH drama queens a lot, so not shocked at all by this XD What a beautiful baby.
We sometimes call our Scottish Terriers the Terri-orists because they are always plotting some sort of attack, mischief, or how-to-get something. And gosh, once they’ve decided on something, there’s no stopping them! The official nickname for the breed is “The Diehard” and they pretty much live up to that. A neighbor in my courtyard had one. He was very NOSEY and would just walk into your place anytime he could. To walk around, snoop, approve or disapprove and then he'd leave. Completely assured he had every right to do so. Loved him !
Terriers in general are very mischievous and high energy. Not the brightest bulbs in the lot sometimes. My Smooth Fox Terrier likes to go into my room sometimes weather im in there or not and if the door's cracked he will nuzzle it open and let himself in, and the door will then close on its own trapping him in there. You'd think he'd learn but no.
I have 2 keeshond and I can confirm that they think they are made of cotton candy and will dissolve if touched by water and love making a big kerfuffle if they don't want to do something. You handled Misha like a champ!
I had a Keeshond growing up, and when it came to brushing it was a REQUIREMENT by him. He would literally grab the brush to demand his treatment. So seeing another dog of his breed be so resistant to it is shocking to me lol. My dog was truly a weird one.
My grandmother had a beautiful Keeshond named Marishka. He was the most gorgeous dog I've ever seen. She would stand him up on a bench outside each morning and give him a thorough brush, reassuring him and calling him darling if he got whimpery. He was so good with me as a child and all the other grandkids, one time we all got very excited and got him excited too and got him doing laps around the house at the speed of light and jumping on the arm chairs. We got a good scolding for that but oh how I loved it as a mischievous child. I loved sinking my hands into his floofy fur every time i patted or hugged him. His big dark eyes were mesmerizing. So glad to see you groom a beautiful Keeshond. I miss that dog 😢
What a funny pair. I just about died when I saw all the restraints on Mischa (2:23). All that was missing in that particular shot was the muzzle. Hilarious! I used to take care of a Yorkie for a friend when she'd go out of town. That dog would make me laugh every time I took him for a walk. He always thought he could take on any large dog we met along the way.
I used to have a client who ran our local Keeshond rescue. They’re super sweet and resilient dogs, even the ones she rescued from bad situations were open to love and so wonderful.
Omg! I met a Keeshond for the first time ever last year. I have a pet sitting business and started caring for her pup literally 5 days after they got her. She is a bundle of energetic cotton floof! And she absolutely gets weird when i try to brush her. Lol. So much tip tapping, backwards hops, and, that snort/spit thing they do. But i love her so much❤. I call her pretty durl❤ or fluff ball😂 She's not too barky though, only when and feels she been outside long enough and you try to ignore her so she can potty. At freaking 6am🤦🏽♀️😲🤣
We had a Collie/Keeshond, Buddy. He was the best guy ever. So smart. He did ok with baths but had the fuzzy Keeshond undercoat so it took forever to dry him.
Oooh I have been secretly waiting if you ever groom a Keeshond! My old girl turned 12 years on April and still going strong. Misha looked absolutely fabulous
I've had the pleasure of having 3 Keeshond to call my own and they are so loving and wonderful! The only thing I would say is they need to be brushed out often and they need to see a professional groomer too.
The Keeshond is definitely never brushed by its owner. Little Teddy was so much nicer when he realized you were just there to help him. Both of these dogs seem to be very rarely socialized. I hope you get many more chances to groom them because they will always remember how nice you were to them. Thank you for the beautiful work you do. Both dogs looked exquisite when you were done with them.
@@Bildgesmythe my tibetan terrier probably looks like this to many people, but he definitely gets brushed. Unfortunately he'll go into his crate brushed and fluffed and beautiful at night and it never lasts past the next morning dew. He loves to live that ragamuffin life.
You’re making a LOT of assumptions based on a 6 minute video. You need to back up and realize you’re coming across as extremely rude and condescending and if she’s sponsoring their grooming, it may be for a very good reason. You don’t know people, you actually know nothing about them, and you shouldn’t feel so bold making those claims. Lots of dogs don’t like being groomed and it has absolutely nothing to do with their socialization. 🖕🏽
My Kees hates to be brushed so it's a struggle. Their coat's aren't that hard to take care of, but a grooming session a couple/few times a year does wonders.
I’ve been waiting for a Kees to show up here - and Misha didn’t disappoint. My Peg has been gone for 12 years - we were blessed with 15 years of her nuttiness. Misha is marked so much like her that it was like seeing her silly self right in front of my eyes. Thank you!
My parents got a Yorkie when I was in my teens. He was fiercely defensive of our family and would eviscerate empty UPS boxes to protect us from the air within them. He was also very easy to train. My favorite thing I trained him to do was square the property line when I let him out off lead. I did this at two separate houses, and I did it because I didn't like having to go out with him in foul weather when he had to do his business. Eventually he passed away. When my mother was moving out of the last house, she decided to sprinkle his ashes along the property line "because he liked to walk it so much," not realizing he did that because he'd been TRAINED to do it!
I have owned and shown Keeshonden for 40 years. A Kees who is consistently groomed will enjoy it. My dogs beg to be groomed. Great job with this dog. His owners need to groom him weekly.
Hi Vanessa, girl with the dogs - just want to say thank you for what you do & for letting us see it. It’s my guaranteed smile every day. Today is hard as it marks the one year anniversary of losing my sweet little Mini-schnauzer/terrier mix, Ms. Emma Rodriguez (the name on her collar when I rescued her at age 6 months - nope, I was not 6months old, she was - I was 60yrs old 😁) She & I shared the next 16 yrs together. When I lost her it felt like someone kicked me in the head...now a year later it just feels like someone kicked me in the gut. Oh, how I miss her! 🐾…
Oh, I'm so sorry. Sending you a hug! 🤗 Wow, your precious Emma lived so long, that is amazing. Take all of the time you need, everyone's grieving process is different. I'm so glad you had her. She obviously had a great life with you. ❤
I have a Keeshond (you can see her in my picture!) and she's never been professionally groomed before. I've been DYING to see you groom one and it went exactly as I expected lol! Oh, and thank you SO MUCH for saying the name properly. 🩵🩵
Grew up with keeshonds in the family, absolutely adore them but way too much work for me to personally own them. So much time to brush them every week. My cousin had yarn and a sweater made out of keeshond fur to give to the owner of the keeshond, her mom. I've heard of rugs being made out of their yarn as well. They are incredibly happy, friendly dogs, and a joy to hug, with all that fluff.
I live in Yorkshire and there are loads of Yorkies here (obviously lol) and while they can be affectionate, they are also very ‘shouty’ and so make excellent guard dogs. When you live in the place where they get their name, they are everywhere 😅
I'm another British viewer and I used to go to Yorkshire quite a lot, Harrogate and Leeds, miss the place, such lovely people and yes I recall seeing quite a lot of Yorkshire Terriers there oddly enough! But not in Betty's 😂
I used to babysit for a family that always had kees around. They were the sweetest puppers. But I spent one Fourth of July weekend with one attached to me like Roo in Kanga's pouch! 😂 I was house/dog sitting, and in between neighborhood fireworks and summer thunder storms, neither of us got much sleep that weekend. ( This was long before the Thunder shirt. ) I remember sitting in the rocking chair @ 3: something AM, with the kees swaddled in a beach towel in my arms, singing lullabies while she moaned in terror, and occasionally dribbled a little pee on me. 🙄 I later had babies of my own, one of whom struggled with chronic ear infections. I'd think about that kees every time I pulled an all nighter with a screaming baby. 😆🥰. The baby is grown, and the kees is long gone. We all made it, though I'd had doubts at the time.
I have a 17 year old Yorkie named Daisy and every time I see yorkies I feel the urge to cry because I can't see her every day since she is with my parents.
Love the Yorkie as well, the one we had fits the description perfectly 🤣she was a stubborn little S O B 🤣she hated being groomed and sulked when we got her home. She loved people and use to sit by the garden gate just so people could make a fuss of her 🤣Still miss her to this day.
I love keeshonds. My aunt has had 5 over the years. They are very friendly and although they do bark a lot when they see you, it is always a 'fantastic, new person, let's be friends' bark.
My older brother had keeshond when we were kids. She was smaller but nice. The trick to keeping her clean was her sleeping next to the air intake for the heat pump. The light vacuum action did the trick. The air intake was right outside my brother's room.
That's quite the team! I like Terriers but they are a handful to say the least, very bossy but quite entertaining. Have never interacted with a Keeshond, more laid back than the Terrier, but that could describe all other dogs.
So happy to see a Keeshond!!! My girl is 16 months and she is a joy. She is easy going generally (except with cats outside!!) and very good for the groomer as I took her from a puppy. She is also an independent woman and not particularly affectionate.
I agree on the Yorkie. They are one breed I never thought I would find such an affinity for. Smart and sassy. Thank you for the correct pronunciation on the Keeshond. I have been saying it wrong for years!
My sister's former boyfriend had a Yorkie named Eddie. Eddie was invited to another dog's birthday party but they had to leave when he bit the guest of honour. The guest of honour was a ROTTWEILER.
Lol
My blind Yorkie mutt use to attack pitbulls. We thought he was just confused because he's blind, but now I know he's just dumb.

Small Terriers just do not know they are small. Nope.
We had a Keeshond growing up. He was a beautiful dog.
I used to have a client who ran our local Keeshond rescue. They’re super sweet and resilient dogs, even the ones she rescued from bad situations were open to love and so wonderful.
My former neighbors had a Keeshond, super sweet natured dog.
I call her pretty durl❤ or fluff ball😂
She's not too barky though, only when and feels she been outside long enough and you try to ignore her so she can potty.
Had keeshonds growing up. They were wonderful dogs.
We had Keeshonds growing up in NJ. They were very affectionate and loveable balls of flood who often howled and sang the song of their people. 😂
I've had the pleasure of having 3 Keeshond to call my own and they are so loving and wonderful! The only thing I would say is they need to be brushed out often and they need to see a professional groomer too.
All the keeshonds I've met loved being brushed. This one is breaking with tradition!
Mine hates it lol. She will actually hide her brush, if I leave it where she can get it!
I notice that many of the long haired dogs don't look like the owners brush them.
He definitely gets brushed. His coat was not in bad shape at all
My Kees hates to be brushed so it's a struggle.
Thank you!
Unusual for a Keeshond not to enjoy bathtime. Mine absolutely love water and loves being groomed anytime. Even loves its nails clipped.
I love Keeshounds, we had one for 14 years , never had an issue with grooming either with us or a groomer. Such a wonderful personality dog.

My childhood dog was a Keeshond. I miss him so much! He was very quiet.
Seeing them share a water bowl was so cute!
I have a Keeshond (you can see her in my picture!) and she's never been professionally groomed before. I've been DYING to see you groom one and it went exactly as I expected lol! Oh, and thank you SO MUCH for saying the name properly. 🩵🩵
We have 2 keeshond sisters. There are the exact same way with grooming. But we love them. There Keeshie smile is amazing.
I love dogs with spirit and you gave us two. Well done!
All dogs go to heaven -- right after an appointment with Vanessa.
Vanessa has the perfect voice and know-how for this, that's why she is one of my favorite personalities.
Misha is stunning! Never seen a dog like her
I live in Yorkshire and there are loads of Yorkies here (obviously lol) and while they can be affectionate, they are also very ‘shouty’ and so make excellent guard dogs.
@@JasmineSurrealVideos That’s nice of you to say, thanks. We call it God’s own country. We make great Y/Pudding too 😀
I used to babysit for a family that always had kees around. They were the sweetest puppers. But I spent one Fourth of July weekend with one attached to me like Roo in Kanga's pouch! 😂
I was house/dog sitting, and in between neighborhood fireworks and summer thunder storms, neither of us got much sleep that weekend. ( This was long before the Thunder shirt. ) I remember sitting in the rocking chair @ 3: something AM, with the kees swaddled in a beach towel in my arms, singing lullabies while she moaned in terror, and occasionally dribbled a little pee on me. 🙄
I later had babies of my own, one of whom struggled with chronic ear infections. I'd think about that kees every time I pulled an all nighter with a screaming baby. 😆🥰. The baby is grown, and the kees is long gone. We all made it, though I'd had doubts at the time.
Omg a Keeshond !! I have a 9 1/2 yr old Keeshond named Teddy. This video made my day. : )
What adorable naughty noodles!!!!!!!!!
They seem harmless but definitely entertaining to watch their crazy antics!!! 😅
What goobers. I love Keeshonds and they look really cute together!
Let’s talk👆🎁
Aww. My family Keeshonden were nice to their groomer's. They thought they were the size of Pomeranians and got on laps though.
That Keeshound is beautiful ❤
I have a 17 year old Yorkie named Daisy and every time I see yorkies I feel the urge to cry because I can't see her every day since she is with my parents.
Thank god for short haired dogs !I had a standard short hair dachsund myself. Still miss him
Love the Yorkie as well, the one we had fits the description perfectly 🤣she was a stubborn little S O B 🤣she hated being groomed and sulked when we got her home. She loved people and use to sit by the garden gate just so people could make a fuss of her 🤣Still miss her to this day.
I love Kees! My daughter lives in a houseboat and has an Elk-Kee.
3:15 misha looks so happy that his brother is being groomed
I love keeshonds. My aunt has had 5 over the years. They are very friendly and although they do bark a lot when they see you, it is always a 'fantastic, new person, let's be friends' bark.
4:16: what's going through Teddy's mind- "why am I doing a handstand? I didn't sign up for this..."
My family has had keezers for as long as i can remember! My absolute favorite doggos!
I looove this type of "haircut"( I don't how to say it in English) that the yorkie get, it's so cute, they look like an old gentleman 😂😂😂
My older brother had keeshond when we were kids. She was smaller but nice. The trick to keeping her clean was her sleeping next to the air intake for the heat pump. The light vacuum action did the trick.
The air intake was right outside my brother's room.
These two were a bundle of fun to watch. These brothers look so handsome.❤
That Keeshond is a really beautiful dog.
Your patience with Dog's is incredible thank you.
Keeshonds are so adorable
That's quite the team! I like Terriers but they are a handful to say the least, very bossy but quite entertaining. Have never interacted with a Keeshond, more laid back than the Terrier, but that could describe all other dogs.
You are so wonderful with your clients, anyone could see you found your calling.
So happy to see a Keeshond!!! My girl is 16 months and she is a joy. She is easy going generally (except with cats outside!!) and very good for the groomer as I took her from a puppy. She is also an independent woman and not particularly affectionate.
You are such a wonderful person! No wonder the animals you groom warm up to you in no time.
Too much fluffy cuteness!!!
I love the Keeshond a lot. So big floofy.
They both turned out Stunning! Excellent job.
Thanks for the history about the Keeshond, very interesting! He is stunning! Yorkie is very cute too!
I have a Yorkie and can definitely vouch that he has such a big personality and is so feisty 😭 makes me adore him every day
I love that you showed a keeshond. Only breed I’ve ever owned and they’re wonderful dogs
It's so grate that you sponsored these two beauties ❤️
I agree on the Yorkie. They are one breed I never thought I would find such an affinity for. Smart and sassy. Thank you for the correct pronunciation on the Keeshond. I have been saying it wrong for years!
