It rests in silence of the absence of my tears". This line probably tells about the sound of breaking Vergil's amulet and his mom's memorial and how Vergil was absolutely broken.
"Awakened by the sounds of screams to realize they're my own". That is saying about Vergil's suffering when he was enslaved.
"Falling to a servant of the beast that i don't know",that is saying about Vergil's fall to Mundus.

@Alaraknd C At bare basic level, it would just require cutting the song up and arranging the verses into rank C-A, use the Chorus drop on S rank and then the Solo for SSS. If you got your hands on an Instrumental and Vocals Only version, that opens up future editing potential.
Its a simple formula I've played with in Audacity, as it's a free program, but I wouldn't risk uploading test edits to RUclips due to music copyright claims and video takedowns being enforced like a nazi dictatorship. Even if you don't monetise.
(It's even worse with video game songs that aren't copyright claimed on RUclips as themselves, but by some git that sampled them and uploaded an "original" song and placed copyright on it.)

While Vergil may have his own official theme which portrays his new current state in "Bury The Light" this song could still be used as Urizen's theme. I know he already has Boss themes. I'm talking about if Urizen were a playable character with his own battle theme with lyircs. Because V has "Crimson Cloud" and i think this is a great parallel to that. Almost similar to how Bury The Light is meant to be a mirror of Devil Trigger

Personally, I think this song works best as a theme for Vergil when he's been transformed into Nelo Angelo. The whole chous brings to mind the mental image of Vergil's mind, trapped, helpless, and unable to actually control his body as Mundus uses it as a puppet, leaving him unable to do anything but hope that Dante, or anyone really, manages to kill his Nelo Angelo self as a way of freeing him from Mundus's control.
Not that I would expect Vergil to ever ADMIT to anyone that he was rooting for Dante in that fight mind you (unless it was in a "You only beat me in that fight because I was fighting against Nelo Angelo from the inside too!" sort of way) but there you have it.
This song is a great description of Vergil's inner conflict during the events of DMC 5.
The first half tells about him separating himself with V, giving into his desire for power and ultimately creating Urizen off that obsession. Then it proceeds to talk about V and his way with words, however it describes it as his way of coping with his loss of strength.
Next, the second half goes more in depth about Vergil's inner struggle to maintain his sanity. Being freed from Mundus' control, but not able to fight due to Yamato being taken from him. That being said, he must then claw his way back from Hell in order to survive. Using whatever means necessary to get back his power....
Personally, I wouldn't mind playing a DLC that explains how Vergil escaped Mundus' control over him. But that's for another day I suppose.

Its honestly amazing how well this works. Its slower paced and more methodical than any of the other tracks, matching his style of gameplay. The references to Broken Symphonies(he seemingly preferred classical music before his fall), Night Terrors and internal trauma (the V companions), serving a Beast He Doesn't Know (mundus), etc. This is a great pick. I think Fuck disqualifies it for Vergil tho

Maybe the song's rythim doesn't fit with Vergil's personality, but the lyrics are perfect for him. Although I see it more like a fanmade song for Vergil than an official theme for him, I really like it. Reminds me of Breaking benjamin...
The lyrics actually fit Vergil pretty well. I doubt they'll give each dlc character that'll be featured in dmc5 their very own soundtrack but I would listen to this while playing as Vergil in dmc5.

I was reading the comments and my conclusion of this song is: this is a cool song, but it can't really replace it as vergil's battle theme because Bury the Light makes it's drops better by making some parts slower, or how some people look at "boring". Also Bury the Light works on gameplay because all battle themes from dmc 5 have diferent parts with diferent speeds to correctly reflect your ranking in the fights. Also if Capcom used this song it would become repetitive because it is too short and it is always over the top and getting an S or SS or SSS would be kinda meaningless. Sorry if I made this comment too long or I misspelled something, English is not my main language

V is vergils true self, the difference between dante and vergil is that vergil followed wrath while dante followed love, as vergil also felt the weaker of the two so decides to overcompensate to gain power.
As he is a child in pain, he sees his own power as his father's demonic side because of his emotional turmoil leads him to be more agressive than understanding. As dante is the stronger of the two due to the fact he understands love, he doesnt have this same progression. In fact, dante is lucky enough to have trish who is in physicality the spitting image of dantes mother, a living reminder of the path he has taken.
Consider the facts vergil split himself in two with the yamato and dante impaled himself with rebellion.
Sparda knew exactly what he was doing when he entrusted the two with their respective weapons.
Both caused a power shift, dante's; empowering him to the highest limit of his potential, sin devil trigger whilst vergil's split man and devil, granting him TRUE PERSPECTIVE, which put him back on his path to his highest potential.
V is vergils true inner form at this point as the point of the twins being half human was because sparda was illuminated by the light of love and chose to use his power to make changes across reality itself in the name of love. This love is represented by the human side of them, the lasting reminder that devils do cry.
This is the real underlying theme of devil may cry. No matter how powerful the demon in man, the light of love will turn even the highest evil to allegiance.
This is why v appears young but frail as this is the personification of vergil at the point in his life when he lost his grip on love and became obsessed with power and closer to the feral demon within. This was caused by being cast adrift in a harsh and unforgiving world with only the knowledge that your greatest power lies in evil, as sparda's influence is the far more obvious of the two, especially to a young boy.
Love's power is subtle but patient and vergil's rise, fall and rebirth are caused also in part by the fact that the twin's mother only managed to speak to dante before she was killed.
She was the light of love that convinced the right hand of hell itself to put down fury in the name of love. After observing the final rise of vergil in dmc 5, the fight between him and dante after v overcomes urizen, it can be seen that vergil also has a sin devil trigger.
This means that by resolving his pain and anguish and returning to the path of love that made them, as sparda always intended, he became whole in truth. DEVIL MAY CRY folks. What a fucking story.

Mabye Yong Yea... And from what i heard there was a recent patch to the game where the ONLY change was to this hidden version of Vergil. It apparently isn't that janky anymore and now he has that focus feature from DMC4SE
