Like how undertale is very toxic but it also boomed in popularity very fast. Hollow knight is a less toxic fandom (there is a still toxicity) but it has a decent sized fan size and recognition that only got popular as at first it was over shadowed by works like Cuphead (both released around 2017)

It makes sense as the characters are literal 3D models in-universe - areas that aren't seen usually just straight-up don't exist (hence with many first-person view games your character may have a body model but no head), and this is especially true for areas covered by clothing.

It's sad to see The Amazing Digital Circus being treated this way. The thing is, the show isn't even made for kids. The producers of the show, Glitch Productions, stated that they make shows for an older teen to young adult audience. Unfortunately, the same kind of stuff happened to Glitch's other show, Murder Drones in which is directed by Liam Vickers. It was especially sad for me to see this happen to Murder Drones because I have been a fan of the show for about a year now.

I think I can answer this. In one SMG4 video, they actually talk about content farms, and in it they make a bunch of jokes about RUclips not giving a shit about copyright infringement. Chances are they HAVE tried to take them down, and RUclips just ignored them.

Not gonna lie, I just found out Cougar Macdowall was a content farm. As soon as Uh Yeah mentioned him I went to check their channel because I almost didn’t believe it. I haven't seen much of their content since their old godzilla king of the monsters comic dubs from like 4 years ago. I had still seen some of their older content pop up from time to time, but it was just like steven universe stuff or fnaf stuff that wasn’t sexualized to shit. It makes me feel sad and grossed out that this is what they've turned in to.
Fun fact: I knew Cougar Macdowall before he was falling into... whatever state he is now. Back then, his comic dub content was pretty straightforward, and I mostly came for him due to the fact he was the voice actor of Vs. Tabi, a Friday Night Funkin mod I loved a lot (back before the exemania period that disgusted me a lot from fnf mods). Here, some of the comics were just Tabi chilling with some other OCs like AGOTI and sometimes Ruv and... it's pretty straightforward. Sometimes he'd get to talk to Nikusa, and it was funny. But then, there came a period, where Cougar just posted more and more content about Nikusa and Tabi being together, and that's when it devolved into "Friday Night Funkin the Harem Anime", where most of the comics were just Tabi getting teased in 10000 times by Nikusa, Ayana, Midnight, Sakuroma, any other FNF girls... and it ended up being just a kink pain train really fast. Although I will give props to Cougar Macdowall for making that one comic dub where Sakuroma was arguing against Nikusa... this very piece of media is the one thing where the character had the most personality in her entire career as a character from a Friday Night Funkin Mod. It saddens me because it just feels like looking at someone who used to make something interesting then devolving into foulness, kinda like seeing a movie star you used to love slowly ruining themselves with alcohol. And what's left of him? Soulless content farm.

I used to watch Cougar for a long time, and there’s a lot to him, so here’s a timeline of events I remember off the top my head: I discovered his channel back in 2020 when he was making family friendly content, mainly Godzilla and Dinosaur related comics. That’s actually how I discovered Godzilla, which now became my favourite thing ever. Anyways, I’m quite sure he knew back then that he had a young audience, who in some way discovered Godzilla through the 2019 movie “Godzilla II: King of the Monsters” so that was his main thing. He seemed like a cool guy, doing fun little projects for a not that popular fandom. Most of the comics that he featured were from the same few people he seemed to be friends with, and among them are my top 2 favourite artists in the Godzilla community, with the rest being high on the list too. I think he had two other people helping him with the voice acting, one person named Sky, who mainly played Mothra, and the other named Mike, who played Rodan. He would upload comics daily, he made a few Godzilla raps, and later on he started working on a Godzilla puppet show that ended up being just a reaction thing. He commissioned(?) a comic series named Biollante vs Ghidorah or something like that, which was the whole reason I stayed a follower of his has long as I did. In the beginning it took a month for that series to get another episode, which then increased through 5 months up to over a year. I memorised his upload schedule, and would stay up every night until he uploaded. That changed when Among us got popular. For a long time all he uploaded was Among us, and I stopped watching him for around a month or two. Then he returned to Godzilla and so did I. For a while things seemed back to be normal. In what order did things happen from then on my not sure, but basically he had another person join the regular voice actors: Jelzy. She also voiced Mothra in some comics, which I was not too happy about, I really liked Sky. I don’t know what caused what, but Jelzy started voicing Mothra more often, and Sky eventually left. I was really bummed out by that one. Around the same time as Jelzy showed up FNF became popular. You could see FNF became another big thing on his channel, he voiced an official character too, I think. And slowly with/after the introduction of Jelzy and FNF, his content became less SFW. But it started seriously going downhill with FNAF Security Breach. And again, I’m pretty sure he was aware he had a young audience. So yes, I was not happy with it, I’ve never been a big fan of all that sexual stuff, never understood why people had to make such a big deal about it. He promised he would finish the Bio vs Ghido series several times, and I was really hopeful about it, but it never came. The artist, who drew the comic, took a break from the Godzilla fandom for a long time, but I still stayed there, bc I HATE not being able to finish a story. At some point Mike left too, and after that I gave up. He did start making Godzilla content again, but that’s all sexual too. It’s really just sad to see what his channel has become, to me at least. I have a lot of nostalgic memories tied to that part of my life, discovering Godzilla for the first time during quarantine. Now the seemingly nice people in the fandom were replaced by toxic *ssholes who are constantly complaining, my OTP suddenly went for being really popular to being really hated, and the animatics, mini series made by one, not so talented but very passionate artist, or just even the semi-enjoyable, cringy, crappy vines, gacha stuff and texting romance stories (yes, I did enjoy those too, I know, I was cringe, leave me alone) on RUclips have been replaced by porn, which are often made by minors too. And that last seven or so things I mentioned can be tied back to him, he was just that influential in the community. He genuinely used to my favourite creator on the platform, and it’s just such a bummer that now all that comes to my mind when hearing about his channel, are those old, happy, nostalgic memories, that quickly turn into depressive thoughts about how this franchise that means so much to me became way less welcoming and started bringing less and less joy, mainly because of the people in it. I’m sorry if I made a mistake or something is incomprehensible, English is not my first language, and I did go back and forth adding this that I randomly remembered. Also sorry for making it so long, as you can guess, this is an important(that’s not the right word but idk what is) topic for me. Any other old Cougar fans, feel free to correct me if I got something wrong.

I watched Cougar Macdowall Va for a bit in the past. What they do is milk a single topic, and make it VERY sexual. They did it with FNF (Specifically Nikusa and Tabi ships) Murder drones, FNAF, Among Us, Kaijus, Skibidi toilet, and proboably more that I don’t know. They also make 1 minute videos, then make long compilations of them for more views. Definitely a textbook content farm. Side note: They MAY give credit. Can’t remember.
Funny thing is, he wasn't always like that in the past (at least when he did Godzilla videos). They didn't have sexualized thumbnails/content, they were just simple dubs of cute Godzilla fanmade webcomics from a specific artist. They were actually pretty cute and entertaining and the monsters each had their own personalities and voices.

In the past he did not relaide on sexualisation. He did Pixie and Brutus comic dubs, and those did not had these type of thumbneils. It's disapointing to see how low did he sink. If he wanted to make NSFW comic dubs, he should have made an acount on a website specificly for that kind of stuff, or make it Patreon exlusiv.
This pilot, alongside the Lackadaisy adaptation's, are some of the best things I've seen all year. It's just a shame TADC got content farmed as it had so much potential staying power. Reminds me of a certain game with a dorito-headed, blue plush monkey toy.

Skeleton Boomering is criminally underrated, only hate I saw to it was a single metacritic reviewer who gave an unreasonably low review. And yeah, rule of thumb is no matter who you are if enough people know you exist someone will hate you for whatever reason whether valid or not.
I know that every fandom has these kind of degenerates but as long as that stuff is where minors can’t find it, I don’t really care. But to put them so publicly? No shot. And it sucks because those behind the show clearly worked so hard on every detail. Their work being tainted by these people is really sad.

We got into a fight because he wanted to dumb comics that featured my kaiju oc but as a black person i didn't want him to dub my character unless he got a black voice actress. Then there was the fact he dodged questions about whether he properly paid people, him trauma dumping on me, and finding out he comes from big money. It's a lot to say the least and he's always had this issue of saying he was a good christain man but then relying heavily on smut baity content. To the point he basically stole another creator's oc (whom I also had beef with) to exploit in more sexually charged videos.

Cougar's first claim to fame were his Godzilla comic dubs written by a specific artist. They were actually pretty cute and gave each of the monsters (which are all the Legendary Monsterverse versions btw), their own personalities and quirks (like Rodan is a chef for some reason, Ghidorah's three heads have different personalities (like what King of the Monsters shown), but gave each head different japanese-esque names while the innocent, happy lovable, dumb one is named Kevin). Also, if you ever wanted your fill on Monsterverse Godzilla and Mothra shipping, then those comics are for you.
I discovered him through the Security Breach stuff, that was honestly really good too, and the Skitty and Wailord comic dubs and Dog Knight RPG ones (which are actually endorsed by CeeHaz and give us the official character voices) are worth staying for as well. EDIT: Were, past tense. Cause apparently he just suddenly stopped doing either of those by the time 2023 started. And I think he's largely stopped doing the Security Breach videos too, unless you count a few based on the DLC here and there.

As a long time supporter of glitch, I’m both SO HAPPY people are finding their stuff and giving them the support that they deserve but I’m also somewhat regretful of it becoming so mainstream. But the pros out way the cons, at least in my opinion.
Helpful reminder to everyone out there: Goose does not support content farms, but as far as I'm aware, does not plan to do anything about them. Gooseworx has confirmed that all of the characters who are not AI (Caine, Bubble, etc.) are over 20 years old and legal, consenting adults. Go crazy. Gooseworx has not confirmed any sexualities, and has made it clear that there will be no canon ships in the show. Gooseworx has come forward and said to ship whatever you want, but don't fight each other over it.
To be fair what could goose even do about content forms? There's so many and the content farms technically... aren't doing anything illegal. So what CAN you do? The eyes of the law won't do anything. Stressing yourself with trying to fix it is just going to hinder the creative process of the works. To also point out. I'd say Goose Is fine with regular wholesome shipping. It makes sense as the characters are literal 3D models in-universe - areas that aren't seen usually just straight-up don't exist (hence with many first-person view games your character may have a body model but no head), and this is especially true for areas covered by clothing.

It's sad to see The Amazing Digital Circus being treated this way. The thing is, the show isn't even made for kids. The producers of the show, Glitch Productions, stated that they make shows for an older teen to young adult audience. Unfortunately, the same kind of stuff happened to Glitch's other show, Murder Drones in which is directed by Liam Vickers. It was especially sad for me to see this happen to Murder Drones because I have been a fan of the show for about a year now.

Fun fact: I knew Cougar Macdowall before he was falling into... whatever state he is now. Back then, his comic dub content was pretty straightforward, and I mostly came for him due to the fact he was the voice actor of Vs. Tabi, a Friday Night Funkin mod I loved a lot (back before the exemania period that disgusted me a lot from fnf mods). Here, some of the comics were just Tabi chilling with some other OCs like AGOTI and sometimes Ruv and... it's pretty straightforward. Sometimes he'd get to talk to Nikusa, and it was funny.
But then, there came a period, where Cougar just posted more and more content about Nikusa and Tabi being together, and that's when it devolved into "Friday Night Funkin the Harem Anime", where most of the comics were just Tabi getting teased in 10000 times by Nikusa, Ayana, Midnight, Sakuroma, any other FNF girls... and it ended up being just a kink pain train really fast. Although I will give props to Cougar Macdowall for making that one comic dub where Sakuroma was arguing against Nikusa... this very piece of media is the one thing where the character had the most personality in her entire career as a character from a Friday Night Funkin Mod.

ah yes, bring M+D into the mix with TADC as if this wasn’t bad enough. while bonbon and chuchu have special places in my hearts (mainly because i’ve used both of the mimes in my funnies) that is horrendous if you do it for other purposes. M+D is SURROUNDED by meme culture and derpix even accepted the fact it blew up as a meme. in TADC’s case, it’s literally all unwanted elsagate or sexual context. gooseworks wants it to stop instead of trying to bring light and spread awareness. while i don’t know how casting this off and throwing a tantrum does it (that was a joke), certainly other videos are helping. whether it be from the small youtubers or big youtubers; this needs to stop.

I used to watch Cougar for a long time, and there’s a lot to him, so here’s a timeline of events I remember off the top my head:
I discovered his channel back in 2020 when he was making family friendly content, mainly Godzilla and Dinosaur related comics. That’s actually how I discovered Godzilla, which now became my favourite thing ever. Anyways, I’m quite sure he knew back then that he had a young audience, who in some way discovered Godzilla through the 2019 movie “Godzilla II: King of the Monsters” so that was his main thing. He seemed like a cool guy, doing fun little projects for a not that popular fandom. Most of the comics that he featured were from the same few people he seemed to be friends with, and among them are my top 2 favourite artists in the Godzilla community, with the rest being high on the list too. I think he had two other people helping him with the voice acting, one person named Sky, who mainly played Mothra, and the other named Mike, who played Rodan. He would upload comics daily, he made a few Godzilla raps, and later on he started working on a Godzilla puppet show that ended up being just a reaction thing. He commissioned(?) a comic series named Biollante vs Ghidorah or something like that, which was the whole reason I stayed a follower of his has long as I did. In the beginning it took a month for that series to get another episode, which then increased through 5 months up to over a year. I memorised his upload schedule, and would stay up every night until he uploaded. That changed when Among us got popular. For a long time all he uploaded was Among us, and I stopped watching him for around a month or two. Then he returned to Godzilla and so did I. For a while things seemed back to be normal. In what order did things happen from then on my not sure, but basically he had another person join the regular voice actors: Jelzy. She also voiced Mothra in some comics, which I was not too happy about, I really liked Sky. I don’t know what caused what, but Jelzy started voicing Mothra more often, and Sky eventually left. I was really bummed out by that one. Around the same time as Jelzy showed up FNF became popular. You could see FNF became another big thing on his channel, he voiced an official character too, I think. And slowly with/after the introduction of Jelzy and FNF, his content became less SFW. But it started seriously going downhill with FNAF Security Breach. And again, I’m pretty sure he was aware he had a young audience. So yes, I was not happy with it, I’ve never been a big fan of all that sexual stuff, never understood why people had to make such a big deal about it. He promised he would finish the Bio vs Ghido series several times, and I was really hopeful about it, but it never came. The artist, who drew the comic, took a break from the Godzilla fandom for a long time, but I still stayed there, bc I HATE not being able to finish a story. At some point Mike left too, and after that I gave up. He did start making Godzilla content again, but that’s all sexual too.
It’s really just sad to see what his channel has become, to me at least. I have a lot of nostalgic memories tied to that part of my life, discovering Godzilla for the first time during quarantine. Now the seemingly nice people in the fandom were replaced by toxic *ssholes who are constantly complaining, my OTP suddenly went for being really popular to being really hated, and the animatics, mini series made by one, not so talented but very passionate artist, or just even the semi-enjoyable, cringy, crappy vines, gacha stuff and texting romance stories (yes, I did enjoy those too, I know, I was cringe, leave me alone) on RUclips have been replaced by porn, which are often made by minors too. And that last seven or so things I mentioned can be tied back to him, he was just that influential in the community. He genuinely used to my favourite creator on the platform, and it’s just such a bummer that now all that comes to my mind when hearing about his channel, are those old, happy, nostalgic memories, that quickly turn into depressive thoughts about how this franchise that means so much to me became way less welcoming and started bringing less and less joy, mainly because of the people in it.
I’m sorry if I made a mistake or something is incomprehensible, English is not my first language, and I did go back and forth adding this that I randomly remembered. Also sorry for making it so long, as you can guess, this is an important(that’s not the right word but idk what is) topic for me. Any other old Cougar fans, feel free to correct me if I got something wrong.

I came for the Godzilla comics, I left when the thumbnails became more and more deranged.
I watched Cougar Macdowall Va for a bit in the past. What they do is milk a single topic, and make it VERY sexual. They did it with FNF (Specifically Nikusa and Tabi ships) Murder drones, FNAF, Among Us, Kaijus, Skibidi toilet, and proboably more that I don’t know. They also make 1 minute videos, then make long compilations of them for more views. Definitely a textbook content farm. Side note: They MAY give credit. Can’t remember.
Funny thing is, he wasn't always like that in the past (at least when he did Godzilla videos). They didn't have sexualized thumbnails/content, they were just simple dubs of cute Godzilla fanmade webcomics from a specific artist. They were actually pretty cute and entertaining and the monsters each had their own personalities and voices.
i used to be really into their steven universe dubs back when the series was ending. it was completely harmless and its such a shock to hear that the channel has turned into another content farm

In the past he did not relaide on sexualisation. He did Pixie and Brutus comic dubs, and those did not had these type of thumbneils. It's disapointing to see how low did he sink. Then there was the fact he dodged questions about whether he properly paid people, him trauma dumping on me, and finding out he comes from big money.

Cougar's first claim to fame were his Godzilla comic dubs written by a specific artist. They were actually pretty cute and gave each of the monsters (which are all the Legendary Monsterverse versions btw), their own personalities and quirks (like Rodan is a chef for some reason, Ghidorah's three heads have different personalities (like what King of the Monsters shown), but gave each head different japanese-esque names while the innocent, happy lovable, dumb one is named Kevin). Also, if you ever wanted your fill on Monsterverse Godzilla and Mothra shipping, then those comics are for you.
I discovered him through the Security Breach stuff, that was honestly really good too, and the Skitty and Wailord comic dubs and Dog Knight RPG ones (which are actually endorsed by CeeHaz and give us the official character voices) are worth staying for as well.
EDIT: Were, past tense. Cause apparently he just suddenly stopped doing either of those by the time 2023 started. And I think he's largely stopped doing the Security Breach videos too, unless you count a few based on the DLC here and there.
