This makes me glad that the golden age of Gmod/SFM animation was before the rise of content farm bots. Modern content farms would have gone absolutely ham over things like the Gmod Idiot Box or TF2 Air.
I think Skibidi Toilet is a true testament to the universal fact that gmod content never truly dies and I actually love that for it. Content farms aside, this is something I think we would all have gotten a kick out of too when we were young.

The worst part about the channel featured at 22:35 is that even from the tame stuff to the, well other stuff, everything appears to be stolen fanart. I was only able to see one or two instances of credit given and even then I doubt most artists would consent to their content being taken and used in this way. But aside from the overzealous content farms, I think the original Skibidi series has its own charm to it, like many other people in the comments have said, it brings back memories of the classic Gmod animation era (even if it isn’t explicitly animated *in* Gmod).
Well, we had stupid creepypastas ,along Fnaf cringe and goofy fanfics, it was not much better back in 2012. In fact, I might say that these series are particulary well made. Props to the creator. Still, I agree that this goofy ahh content farms are not any good, and can ruin the enjoyment for that piece of media (like FnF, for instance)

Kind of funny how doom studio went from being a garden of banban and skibidi toilet content farm to making the most popular fanmade skibidi toilet series ever, with OST, sick models, and good story, that’s what I call an upgrade.

I think much like Alphabet Lore, these sort of RUclips Short animations are just niche during their development. Initially as a joke or meme, up until each video builds up lore that people began getting invested. Now because there technically is very few mature content and the general goofy style, kids get attracted. So a kid fanbase happens. Skibidi Toilet isn't bad at all. Though I think a lot of people just get annoyed. Just hoping that at least it doesn't get used in Elsagate type videos (though knowing the internet, sadly it's inevitable)
The weird part about one of the content farmer included here, DOM Studios, is that he doesn't use the original models from Garten of BanBan and instead uses his own models. The weird part is that Opila Bird is the only character that has an official model straight from the game.
It is literally more efficient to make the models yourself using blender. Speaking as a blender user, you can make the entire game’s cast in an hour, 2 if you aren’t super familiar with modeling. Importing them is a huge fucking headache due to how many subdivisions there are. Not sure why they use the OG opila bird model either, it has all the same issues.
Tbh the animations are KIND OF fine on themselves, what I see as the issue is how it's overused everywhere. Can't say it doesn't happen with everything that becomes popular nowadays though

@@mickmick2708 I wouldn't place these animations the same level as those games, as Undertale and Pizza Tower are real masterpieces in different ways, but yeah, Dafuqboom is just an ordinary GMod/SFM animator of the same brand as stuff like We Like To Party and other such surreal animations that were popular late 2000s to early 2010s. His stuff is very decent content of that type but just turned into a more freaquent shortform format and slight continuity. The thing that sucks is just the overwhelming oversaturation/popularity and content farms and bootleggers.
I have leg hair older than most of the Skibidi toilet fans. It's kinda impresive how short based media has made it possible for things like skibidi toilet to become so famous but so silently at the same time. Like this has a ridicolous amount of views but if it wasn't for people recently calling out how stupid the whole thing is, most people probably wouldn't even remember it, which is weird for a "series" that consistenly 100M+ views. I, for example, one day found a pair of these shorts, forgot, and then saw everyone talk about how it has an insane amount of views. What I'm trying to say is that the problem with RUclips Shorts type of content is that quality is dying and now any kind of shitty content can get a ton of views without actually having anything special, just borderline trash.
Honestly, the actual Skibidi toilet is a goddamn masterpiece of how to use SFM I've been dabbling with SFM animation, and by GOD, sometimes I want to throw my pc out of my window. Dafaq's ability to constantly pump out such high quality stuff is really quite amazing.

While yeah, Ceno0 animations ARE just objectively better in every way, but Dafaq's talents shouldn't be dismissed I can barely make a 10 second animation with a week and a half of work, so I might be speaking from relative experience here.
The thing is, I really applaud this series. They turned what seemed to be a stupid, lol random animation into a full fledged story. It’s addictive, fun, and intriguing. It may be stupid, yes. But this story has a lot of care and work put into it. And I cannot wait to see how it ends. If it even does, because that’s what I’m mostly scared of for this series.

I only watch the "official" videos by Dafuq to avoid most cringe, and they are pretty entertaining, a no-brainer almost sci-fi mecha action. We definitely need to show the skibidi-overtaken kids what the older ones had when they were their age; I'm sure they'll love Full Life Consequences, old Eltorro64RUS and Kitty0706 videos just as much. The intergenerational link is not something we should neglect by blindly becoming boomerified.

The RUclips rabbit hole never ends and will stay like that for a good while. This is why I don't put myself to watch that type of content and move on with my day.
I used to remember when Gametoons first came out when I was like 10 or 11. now that I'm older, I still feel like their old content was MILES better. back then, the writing felt more original with each episode than what they have now. and sure, most of it was Player (the old main character) playing and losing. but each episode spices it up with some actual catchy jokes that were well written. along with the fact that each character has their own unique personality. it actually FELT like among us logic. it was relatable, funny, and has a clear format of among us. now, the writing is just copy and paste episodes with slightly different plot lines. for example, just take a look at their garten of banban crap. it's either just: [insert character name] SAD/DARK ORIGIN STORY!!! (cartoon animation), or...: garten of banban but they become [insert random trend I guess]?!?!?! (cartoon animation). not to mention how uninteresting it is. I've straight up quit watching gametoons, because I see no point in them anymore. not to mention their new "animation" art style. the old art style felt really hand drawn in a way, with each frame holding passion. this may be because the only style they used back then was among us, but it still felt good and fresh. now, the animation is just a bunch of copy and paste PNG's that bounce around like the same dude who made that one "My reaction to that information" meme with the big mouth effect. the only real "animation" is just small little skits which are cool and all, but the writing just ruins it considering how they got in this mess. we're not just "grown up", Gametoons is genuinely through their rock bottom.
I remember back in 2021 the first gametoons video aired it was something about fall guys and it was legit entertaining and coherent atleast, i think the channel went downfall when they started doing that friday night funkin stuff

The way the series escalates from weird SFM shorts to A full blown series with lore reminds me of a series called Tasty Cools by Seibmoz. Basically, the plot is that Coach from Left 4 Dead 2 really REALLY wants to eat Nick. I dunno if it's cannibalism or vore, but basically, he becomes an incredibly powerful being hellbent on consuming one of his fellow survivors. It features other characters from other IPs like Payday and Hitman. I honestly recommend it. I couldn't tell you if it's as whacky as skibidi toilet, but if you like SFM content, then I'd suggest giving it a watch.
Hearing about the 3rd one broke my heart all over again. I used to watch Gametoons. I used to LIKE Gametoons. Some of their older content for what is was, actually was pretty entertaining from a viewer perspective. Their animations were detailed, but simple and addicting. The characters that they showed were extremely memorable and fun to watch. It was around their 45th videos when they started going down the rabbit hole of kids content farming. Their thumbnails began extremely clickbait, they slid away from "trendy games" to whatever viral clip or game the internet had created. They threw all their respect away for a little extra cash. They were a good channel. And now they're just another cringefest.

Man, i just... i'm upset greatly when anyone mentions gametoons, if for nothing else, than me missing the time when i thought that among us logic was done, and me going on with my life, and NOT being able to wittnes the active derailment of the channel. Call it insensitive, watching a greek tragedy unfold in real time, is much more enjoyable, then learning about it afterwards. Also SUS was like the only good song they ever made, i still like listening to it to this day, and you should too.

It is literally more efficient to make the models yourself using blender. Speaking as a blender user, you can make the entire game’s cast in an hour, 2 if you aren’t super familiar with modeling. Importing them is a huge fucking headache due to how many subdivisions there are.
Not sure why they use the OG opila bird model either, it has all the same issues.
Tbh the animations are KIND OF fine on themselves, what I see as the issue is how it's overused everywhere. Can't say it doesn't happen with everything that becomes popular nowadays though

I wouldn't place these animations the same level as those games, as Undertale and Pizza Tower are real masterpieces in different ways, but yeah, Dafuqboom is just an ordinary GMod/SFM animator of the same brand as stuff like We Like To Party and other such surreal animations that were popular late 2000s to early 2010s.
His stuff is very decent content of that type but just turned into a more freaquent shortform format and slight continuity.
The thing that sucks is just the overwhelming oversaturation/popularity and content farms and bootleggers.
Moral of the story: Skibidi is good itself, other channels that try to use horrible art of it to their advantage needs to be destroyed.

I have leg hair older than most of the Skibidi toilet fans. It's kinda impresive how short based media has made it possible for things like skibidi toilet to become so famous but so silently at the same time. Like this has a ridicolous amount of views but if it wasn't for people recently calling out how stupid the whole thing is, most people probably wouldn't even remember it, which is weird for a "series" that consistenly 100M+ views. I, for example, one day found a pair of these shorts, forgot, and then saw everyone talk about how it has an insane amount of views. What I'm trying to say is that the problem with RUclips Shorts type of content is that quality is dying and now any kind of shitty content can get a ton of views without actually having anything special, just borderline trash.

I used to remember when Gametoons first came out when I was like 10 or 11. now that I'm older, I still feel like their old content was MILES better.
back then, the writing felt more original with each episode than what they have now. and sure, most of it was Player (the old main character) playing and losing. but each episode spices it up with some actual catchy jokes that were well written. along with the fact that each character has their own unique personality. it actually FELT like among us logic. it was relatable, funny, and has a clear format of among us.
now, the writing is just copy and paste episodes with slightly different plot lines. for example, just take a look at their garten of banban crap. it's either just: [insert character name] SAD/DARK ORIGIN STORY!!! (cartoon animation), or...: garten of banban but they become [insert random trend I guess]?!?!?! (cartoon animation). not to mention how uninteresting it is. I've straight up quit watching gametoons, because I see no point in them anymore.
not to mention their new "animation" art style. the old art style felt really hand drawn in a way, with each frame holding passion. this may be because the only style they used back then was among us, but it still felt good and fresh.
now, the animation is just a bunch of copy and paste PNG's that bounce around like the same dude who made that one "My reaction to that information" meme with the big mouth effect. the only real "animation" is just small little skits which are cool and all, but the writing just ruins it considering how they got in this mess.
we're not just "grown up", Gametoons is genuinely through their rock bottom.

The way the series escalates from weird SFM shorts to A full blown series with lore reminds me of a series called Tasty Cools by Seibmoz. Basically, the plot is that Coach from Left 4 Dead 2 really REALLY wants to eat Nick. I dunno if it's cannibalism or vore, but basically, he becomes an incredibly powerful being hellbent on consuming one of his fellow survivors. It features other characters from other IPs like Payday and Hitman. I honestly recommend it. I couldn't tell you if it's as whacky as skibidi toilet, but if you like SFM content, then I'd suggest giving it a watch.
Hearing about the 3rd one broke my heart all over again. I used to watch Gametoons. I used to LIKE Gametoons. Some of their older content for what is was, actually was pretty entertaining from a viewer perspective. Their animations were detailed, but simple and addicting. The characters that they showed were extremely memorable and fun to watch. It was around their 45th videos when they started going down the rabbit hole of kids content farming. Their thumbnails began extremely clickbait, they slid away from "trendy games" to whatever viral clip or game the internet had created. They threw all their respect away for a little extra cash. They were a good channel. And now they're just another cringefest.

Man, i just... i'm upset greatly when anyone mentions gametoons, if for nothing else, than me missing the time when i thought that among us logic was done, and me going on with my life, and NOT being able to wittnes the active derailment of the channel.
