Just wait until you see her performances at KEXP Iceland 2018. You will see more of the dancing and her personality come out. "All is soft inside" and "Churchyard" from that venue are a must see for all. Put those on your list.

Aurora is an enchanting combination of the wisdom of the ages, the spirit of Nature and the innocence and energy of youth. She is a lightning rod for emotions. As I said previously, Aurora's look, at this point in time, is of a Botticelli painting come to life.

My first comment and I just wanted to share my gratitude and say thanks for these reactions. Aurora is one of those artists who writes a studio version of a song and then when played live, each time, the song is different, sometimes just slightly and sometimes alot.
I love all of Aurora's music, but I really "really" like this concert!
I am so happy I found her here on RUclips (about 8 months ago). She is utterly captivating, mesmerizing. What's funny is my "go-to" music is Heavy Metal and 70's Hard Rock. But I knew from the first time I watched her that she was something beyond special!

@@LeoS You're very welcome, and please continue your journey as us, as viewers, can live vicariously, as well as continue our own journey.....
Aurora is beyond special. I've heard "many" great things in my 50 years. As I said earlier, when I first heard her, I knew I came across something magical. And, it's wonderful to see many others, much like myself, who have recently come into the realm of Aurora.

I 100 percent recommend "runaway" the live versions are nice but i defenetly think the music video is very enchanting. I promise it's a very great song! If you do end up reacting to a live version i believe the ones from 2015-2016 are the best and not to mention it's her most viewed song! Its a very crucial song i think because not only did she mention it's a good way to start the journey through her music but it is just such a classic in her selection of songs. I would love to see your reaction from it. :))

And here we are again. Nice reaction. Unfortunately, I forgot what I wrote under the blocked video, but it was just nice things.😁 I think I pointed out that you did it exactly right first to get to know Aurora and then to hear her music. Ah now I know everything again. 😁. With that you tied a bond with her and that's why you end up struggling with yourself. For me, that makes you the most honest and most interested reactor that I've seen so far. I think that's why you got a bit of a father feeling in the end. 😁

What's amazing is that she doesn't know how to read or write music and all those harmonies come from inside her head. She is incredible and nice reaction by the way🙂

I really enjoy your reactions and as Coyote said you are the one with the right way to approach this artist. I have found an interpretation of the song what clearly show its not only a nice song its much more
    About Aurora Under Stars
Of the song, Aurora says: “It’s about us. About the people we’ve lost through time, and how we handle that loss. The guilt of still being alive when they are not, and the hope that they might only be sleeping, maybe still dreaming, under the stars.“
    Intro]
Mad world beats, outside our hearts
Times of need, we are apart
    Genius Annotation1 Contributor
The “times of need” may refer to the period of grieving after the loss of a loved one, while being “apart” comments on how this loss can lead to a sense of loneliness.
    Under stars, we are alone
    Under stars
    Genius Annotation1 Contributor
Though we may be physically alone, we are connected by a common sky, and a shared history.
Aurora references both the ever-presence of the natural world and its power to connect us all, AND the idea that those who have left us never leave us, but are up in the stars - watching us.
    Knuckles move, under your skin
He wraps his heart, and drags them in
And they move it all around
    Until we cry
    Genius Annotation1 Contributor
Aurora literally describes the action of “heart-wrenching”… She explicitly depicts the clutching of a heart, and shaking it around - causing emotional trauma.
    Under stars
    Under stars
    Mother cries and turns around
    Walks outside without a sound
    The rain against her skin
    While she faces every sin
    Genius Annotation2 Contributors
This verse could be perceived as a double meaning. It could explain a mother’s status who is at their children’s funeral. It’s often a traumatic event, since their children are often the ones who have to bury their own parents.
Furthermore, the word usage of “Mother” is referring to the Mother Earth, the planet we live on. Aurora Aksnes' songs “Apple Tree” and “The Seed” are notable examples for their use of Mother Earth as a main or side theme.
It could both rain on a human’s skin or on the Earth’s skin, the soil. Rain is associated with a feeling of loss.
    Under stars
    Under stars
    They have only fallen asleep
    They have only fallen asleep
    They have only fallen asleep
    They have only fallen asleep
    They have only fallen asleep
They have only fallen asleep (They have only fallen asleep)
    Genius Annotation2 Contributors
These lines mimic what one would say when attempting to explain the notion of ‘death’ to a child. They’re only sleeping.
Aurora chants repetitively - seemingly in the attempt to convince herself that those she has lost will return, and that it is all alright. Her child-like perceptions are shattered in the coming lines, however…
    [Outro]
    I've seen it many times
Each time they close their eyes, say goodbye
Rest in peace and give yourself to harmony
    I've seen it many times
Each time they close their eyes, say goodbye
Rest in peace and give yourself to harmony
Give yourself to harmony, underneath the stars
    Genius Annotation1 Contributor
Aurora urges the listener to allow death to take them over when the time is right.
Acquiesce to natural order and accept that your time is now. Embrace the harmony that is the cycle of life and death.

This whole copyright thing is confusing. I watch several reactors who never stop their videos and they never get blocked. So what are they doing different? Or is RUclips selectively punishing only certain creators? It seems pretty random to me. As for Aurora, she has become one of my all time favorites and I've been around 49 years.

talking about aurora, you have to get into these artists as well, because they have a huge influence on auroras music.
ane brun even made a cover song of one of auroras songs, and was featured in a documentary about her.
here i reccomend this song, last breath: ruclips.net/video/o7cJL_RoHuU/видео.html
another big voice from norway is susanne sundfor, here with the brothel live at cigalle:
    ruclips.net/video/eGcC0ev7Gcs/видео.html
and agnes obel, the curse from berlin live sessions:
    ruclips.net/video/j1wgaFJ0750/видео.html
not to forget two documentaries about aurora, once aurora and haik. there you get to know much more about her in a very personal way.
