Girl you won beam at regionals while being in pain and not on your game! That's awesome! Don't be so hard on yourself, you did really well considering the circumstances.
You know you’re a good gymnast when this is your worst meet 😂 Bars may have been uncharacteristically rough but honestly everything else looked fine to my untrained eyes! Congrats on a great season Whitney!!
I enjoyed your voice-over! You were such a trooper making it through the meet with the pain you were having...proud of you! Congrats on making to nationals as a beam specialist! Way to go! 👏❤️👍 BTW, wonderful job on the verse you wrote to Hurtless, and how exciting that you got a response from Dean Lewis! Also, love your mom's haircut! It looks so cute on her!
Thanks for also sharing the hard stuff. I mean I have no idea about gymnastics but I’m studying law and I felt your commentary about trying not to cry if messing up. Love your new style of videos:)
That's okay, people have bad meets, especially when you feel so miserable. Loved the commentary....kind of funny in places. Very sorry you had a bummer meet. Next year will be better!!! You've come a long way from all your surgeries. Congrats big time on your collab with Dean Lewis!!!!!! You did AWESOME . I can't wait to see what happens in your future. You are so very talented. I can't wait to see the "One in a Million" movie/pic. I agree with the others. I've been following you for many years now. Your videos have the hard times too. You are very real and have such a great personality. Congrats!
Thank you for sharing this my daughter loves you. When she goes wrong at comp she beats herself up about it. This helps her see that everyone is the same and she still loves you, so she should still love herself.
What actually draws me to you Whitney, is how you are true to yourself and dare to stay authentic while so many expectations come your way. That testifies incredible strength and it's what distinguishes the good from the great. I hope you will be able to keep to that through all of your dreams. You are talented in many ways.
Great video! Thanks for sharing so many great aspects of life. Family love, great vibes from Delilah and Houston, siblings, good and bad of competing and putting yourself out there. Risk and reward showing up in the effort both in gymnastics and your music. Both are so important to you and your attitude is fantastic towards both. Happy you got the chance to do beam at Nationals as well.
Considering how rarely you have what you consider to be a meet that is awful it wasn't the train wreck I expected to see ! 😳 The voice-over commentary was really entertaining and had me lmbo, especially the beam section ! 🤣 The jam session was was an unexpected pleasure ! 👍👍 Looking forward to the beam specialist video from Nationals and hoping your body will be completely healed by then ! 🙏
i loved how real this video is, especially in the world of gymnastics where everything is supposed to be perfected. you did a great job. your heel injury made me wince so you are a boss.
i forgot how much goes on behind a performance. thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings. gymnastics is seriously the hardest sport ever. you did great! rest up ❤️
Watching videos like this really makes me remember how rough of a sport it is. Even though I have so many good memories from gymnastics, it def wasn’t worth all of the pain and injuries🫤
Even though you felt terrible, you got through the meet and still looked amazing! Smiling through the tough times is what makes you a champ. Be kind to yourself! Your body has been through a lot of gymnastics beatings! (My chiropractor told me yesterday how gymnastics does as much impact on the body as does football)! You are amazing! Never forget that :).
Thanks for the video Whit. Well worth the wait. Now the scores make sense. Considering everything you'd gone thru in the previous couple of weeks and the obvious pain you were in all over, you did pretty good, especially on beam. Regardless, I was so proud of you and the way you held it together regardless of your obvious disappointment. You're still a superstar and an awesome gymnast and inspiration. I know being so tall has affected your gymnastics and was part of the reason you didn't do Elite, and I'm sure it frustrates you at times, but just remember, God made you just as you are for a reason. Nice to see Blakely and more of the family making a cameo too. Can't wait to see what you've got coming up. I hope there's some new original songs coming amongst much more fun. Take care Whitney. Enjoy England, Germany and your "One in a Million" premieres and Q &A's. Wish I could be there. 💙💙😉😉
@@marie3745 yes Georgia Elite Gymnastics is her gym but they don't all do the Elite program. At present I don't think many at all are Elite. Whitney said in an Insta post she didn't do Elite because she was to tall (I think there are limits to the adjustment of apparatus in Elite), but I think it may have also been because of her OCD and 3 elbow surgeries. I believe she would've done really well in Elite if things were different.
I thank you for being very real! I have twin daughters, level 7, and they need to know that everyone has bad meets, sometimes on the bigger stages. You have to smile, you have to let it go and move on! So thank you for not just showing perfection!
Great video Whitney. I hope that in a future video we get to see how you and your mum reacted when you found out you were going to open for Dean Lewis in Atlanta. Loved Blakely's glasses btw. I'm looking forward to the time we can get to see One in a Million here in Australia, I hope you are enjoying that whole experience, I'm sure you are.
Hi Whitney, that voiceover was hilarious! 😃 And I wouldn't call it a bad met, you did your best possible. Congratulations to Nationals as a beam specialist!! 👍 Looking forward to see you in Munich at the Filmfest. Is there a Q&A for "One in a million" on wednesday, the 29th? Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪, Susanne
At least you are practiced enough to make it through! Bad meets happen, and I’m sorry it was regionals. Your floor was still fun and I liked your vault!
Your voiceover was everything! I was in tears laughing! You're hilarious, and even though I know it was probably pretty disappointing (and literally painful) at the time, I'm so glad you can find the humor in it now and that you shared that with us.
Congrats on nationals! Loved the thoughts you had while doing your events and skills. your response to dean Lewis was epic. I am super excited to see the documentary whenever it’s available online. Your bro is def ultra gifted at drums. Your fam are super high achievers. Way to be strong. Going to find Delaney’s channel to congratulate her.

i dont know how you can fake a smile at meets that dont go how you want. I was a competitive baton twirler-my last competition was the 18th and I had never done so bad. It is SO hard to pick up the baton after dropping a trick and not look upset or pissed (especially if it was a trick you did all the time in practice). I have a hard time smiling during the routines as it is, because my anxiety disorder makes me feel sick and light headed the entire time, but when the routine doesn't go how you want, it makes it that much harder. Props to you girly!!
Whitney you are a perfectionist, and I am one too. Give yourself some slack as your balance beam was absolutely beautiful. Your floor was also amazing and given that you were injured, I have to say that that meet was a very good one. I hope you give your body time to repair itself and I know that your will knock everyone's socks off at Nationals. In addition, your lyrics almost made me cry; they were so good and Dean lewis better watch out because your verse was killer. Great job! Keep it up!
