Welp wasn’t planning on full on sobbing right before leaving for work but here we are. I know I’m not alone in saying this, we’re all so proud of you. Not only for the incredible career you’ve had but also for knowing when to step back and make the difficult but mature decision to retire. Wishing you the best of luck in your future and looking forward to seeing where life takes you!

Me too right before work 😭😭I remember Whitney way back at 8 years old w coach Ron. But I dove learned anything after 36 years of life, it’s to do what you want and not to live on anyone else’s terms. I wanted to have a baby so badly start trying at 28. Was in medical school & listened to everyone telling me not to do it, I didn’t need or want kids, I was “going to be a doctor.” Here I am 36 w 2 miscarriages not able to raise $21k to finish IVF. Gave up training as a doctor for my egg retrieval portion of IVF bc the sxheudle did not allow. I am heartbroken, it’s my one true dream. And now doing it alone. I’m so proud of Whitney for making the hard but what she feels is the right decision. 👏🏻👏🏻❤❤

I was a competitive gymnast for 7 years and during covid I quit due to having hip issues as well as I wanted to close that chapter and start a new one. When I first moved on from it, I tried tennis, running, and so on. I was out of sports for about 2-3 years after quitting gymnastics before I finally decided to try volleyball. I always used to harp on how volleyball was such a stupid sport and why would anyone want to play that, I honestly had no idea what I was actually talking about because I never even touched a volleyball before I actually started playing the sport. I am now invested in volleyball and have been playing for about 2 years now. I have played on 2 teams, my school season and club and now I couldn't be more proud of myself for going onto year 2 of playing volleyball, I am entering my 2nd year of school season. It was so difficult at first to learn all of these new things, but I grasped the hang of it pretty fast. With as much as I talk about how gymnastics damaged my hips and so on, I truly can't thank the sport enough for giving me the athletic ability and so much more to carry on to other sports. It truly is a privilege to experience being a competitive gymnast because it has so many values!

Crying. I'm so proud of you Whitney. You had a great career, I'll always remember watching your videos as a kid, wanting to be just as good. That montage at the end really made me year up. I never thought I'd see the day, Whitney Bjerken quit. But it happened, and that's okay! I can't wait for what's to come with music in the future, and I'll always look back on your gymnastics career with good memories, reminding me of my younger self who watched you. I'll never stop supporting you💕
Edit: i have more to say!
Thank you. Thank you Whitney for inspiring me, i honestly wouldnt be where i am today without your gymnastics videos. And you not only inspire me with gymnastics but also music, i love music and singing and performing. Thank you for everything Whitney❤ Can't wait to see where music takes you

What I noticed is that when the gymnast is given freedom to have fun, play with skills, be themselves, and take away the pressure- suddenly you see Whitney moving through mental blocks on skills that were challenging her. I wish every practice could have felt more like "playing" gymnastics like this one did, maybe it would be more sustainable for everyone!
Look at Chelsie Memmel, Whitney! Gymnastics will always be there for you when or if you decide to "play" with it again! ❤

Whitney, you’ve always inspired me as a tall gymnast. Being 5’10 in this sport is hard, and often times learning skills is difficult because of “those long legs”. You’ve shown me that being tall doesn’t limit what I can do, and I thank you so much for that. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors and I can’t wait to follow along!❤️

I've followed you for 8 years now and you were the person who got me interested in gymnastics after discovering you on youtube - your videos inspired me so much that for years I've believed that I was actually meant to be a gymnast even though I'm now 21 and can't even do a proper handstand. I've loved watching your gymnastics and singing journey throughout the years and have been (and continue to be) inspired by your determination and resilience. I did competitive sport growing up and found it hard enough to quit when I went to uni without having thousands of people watching me do it, so I think you being able to recognise what is best for you and do it is really impressive! I hope you enjoy your new freedom and good luck with whatever comes next!

Breaks my heart that gymnastics in the states is so FULL ON. We live in The Netherlands and only top sport trains that much. Kids who want to train less hours can adjust their level to do so and still enjoy the sport. They can also just do it for fun and not compete, they can mentor/teach others, etc. You say you'll miss so many aspects of the sport when you don't truly have to give it up if you want to continue. You can just do it on your own terms, no? If it's 2 hours a week so be it. It's just for fun then right? Either way thank you for sharing your journey in the sport with us all. We've watched you grow up and have cheered and cried with you often along the way. You deserve the best life possible and I know you will SHINE in anything you do moving forward.

Hello, Whitney! I’m an overseas fan of yours. I have watched your videos since I was in the first or the second year of junior high school, and now I’m gonna be a senior after this summer vacation. Watching you doing gymnastics has always been my favorite thing to do since this sport was so novel for me to know and your techniques are extremely marvelous. Because of you, I got interested in gymnastics but there’s no enough resources here, so I learned how to do a cartwheel as well as one-handed cartwheel by myself, which was really crazy. After entering college, I joined the cheerleading club in order to learn more stunts. Not starting from an early age, I somewhat had mental blocks about being a flyer. Even though I felt a little afraid, I still had a great time competing and performing with my teammates. However, I decided to quit in the second semester of junior because I had another plan for my life. It’s hard to leave, but those good memories will be in my mind forever. I just wanna say thank you for inspiring me and spreading gymnastics to people around the world! Hope everything goes well with you! ❤

I remember discovering you because I had the "The strongest girl in the world" video in my recommendations when I was like 13 years old. I remember I was so amazed by your strength. Then I started watching your videos and I loved them! I grew kind of attached and was soo happy whenever you uploaded a new video of gymnastics practice. I DEVOURED that 37-minute gym practice video from like 7 year back. Now I'm 21 and even though I'm not crazy over your content anymore, I still really enjoy the videos you make, whether it be gymnastics or singing or whatever is going on in your life. Sometimes I think about whether it's weird that I in certain aspects look up to someone 3 years younger than me, but honestly, why not. As far as I can tell, your a great person with passion who loves what she does, and that's admirable. I'll definitely be staying and staying curious of what will happen next in your life. Keep making music, I enjoy it a lot, and be confident in what you're doing! Lots of love from Germany❤️

Proud to have been a neighbor (Alabama) these last few years. My favorite performances are always when you're on the bars. They are so perfect. I loved them as a child, and learned many things, but never had a coach and a gym to work in. You are blessed, and I am sure God has much more for you to accomplish in life. (1993 Master Men's Inline Speed World Record holder). Be all you can be, no matter who says you can't, or tells you it's impossible. That year, I trained harder than all the others and surprised my coach at 1993 Regionals.

Gosh, it's been a while since I’ve watched your videos about gymnastics, and I didn’t know that you had already left gymnastics. I've known you since you were a kid. I always idolize you and am always impressed by how good you are at gymnastics. I always watch your videos, even the tutorials on how to do a split, and those other videos that you and your siblings do for challenges, like the “eat it or wear it challenge.” I didn’t realize how grown up you are now, and I’ve just realized how old I am too because I've been watching your videos since I was 10 years old. You really are amazing, and thank you for being part of my childhood Wishing you the best🫶🏻💕

Hi Whitney!!! I remember I used to watch your vids while doing my homework as motivation to try something new after I finished it. I was cheering you on when you were learning gienger, and it is the same motivation that I carry for figure skating. You have inspired me so greatly throughout your career and I hope that we can understand a fraction of your strength, both physical and mental, in continuing gymnastics for so long. Good luck in the future !!!❤
