Dramatic Race Onboard | F3 vs F1000 at Silverstone (42 car grid!)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 15 авг 2024
- My first race with Monoposto who run a mixed gid of 42+ single-seater cars, the majority being F3 cars.
The F1000 can hold it's own with it's acceleration out of slow speed corners, but the F3s have an advantage of more aero through fast corners.
Rolling start instead of standing, which means heading into Copse at over 100mph

Huge thanks to Team Sellars Racing and Monoposto for a fantastic weekend!
Great job, posted with warts & all, been watching since 1st vid, damn your progressing quickly & more relaxed & it shows, getting lighter on the wheel. Was watching vintage F1,this came up, switched immediately ! Thanks Bert.
Thanks Robb! Appreciate you following along and giving insight into how it’s coming across. What year are we taking for the vintage F1? I’ve recently watched a lot of the Schumacher years
62 year old wannabe racer here watching you do it! Best wishes to you and have fun doing it!
Thanks Gregg much appreciated! Get down and watch a race. More to come this season
the improvement in your driving from earlier videos to now is outstanding 🙌🙌
Appreciate that! Still a way to go but I feel I’ve got it in me
Quality video and driving again mate 👊🏻
Cheers mate. When are you testing?
Excellent edit and storytelling to take us along with your race!
Appreciate that mate!
Great race
Thanks! Not long until the Cadwell race
Nice one. Really enjoy watching the videos. I think I'll take a look at the mono calender as I'm not sure I'm up for the epic journey to Croft.
Croft is an epic track in the F1000 though Josh! Probably my second favourite behind Oulton.
Text me dude please
Man, those graphics really are something.
GoPros can be unreliable and frustrating, but the video quality in incredible
@@ChapmansCorner my dji osmo action 4 looks insane and has no issues, if you ever feel like upgrading most of the industry has already jumped ship :)
@@xaviermaczko does it have the tracking problem? Obviously it’s frustrating the smoothing on GoPro means the camera doesn’t face front all the time it tracks round the corners. Does the DJI fix this issue?
You did the jimmer ? Absolute mad lad ❤ bless ya !
In equal machinery I swear 👀
Good video ,Thanks . The red car ,holding back was Chris Levy who finished 7th in 1997 car ,he was careful on the rolling star because His clutch cylinder had failed . Yes, it was an excellent grid of Monos . Look forward to R2 , although Chris was knocked off at Brooklands .Jedi should go well at Croft
Thanks for the insight! Love it when people know the other drivers.
R2 was pretty crazy.
I’m not running with Mono for Croft unfortunately, but the F1000 championship is there after next race Cadwell. Two great drivers tracks
@@ChapmansCorner Hope the rest of the season goes well Mate .
Great video - I love your channel. Excluding the cost of the car, safety equipment and licences how much does it cost for season for F1000? I've been looking at a way into motorsport like this but it would be great to have some more info.
Appreciate that mate. Rough costs are
£500 a day trackside support
£500 race entry
£400 test day entry
A big pot of money for repairs…
Races days are 1/2 days, plus the test
You tried Abbey at 130 + mph, brave lad.
We were all attempting flat, most got it. I didn’t think I was but the data showed I did. Craziest corner. But like T1 Cadwell
@@ChapmansCorner I was rooting for ya 100 %. Great race. You have me on a quest to find the name of the alternate corner between Vale and club. Can't find it.🤔
@@ghostdragon9221 I got confused, I thought this was the Oulton race video talking about flat through Island Bend 😅
Abbey is an easy flat in these, as long as you get the turn in right unlike lap 8. Understeer was crazy with old fronts.
I can’t find it either, surely it’s just Club? Not sure it shows in the video, but the bump as you cross the white line, from the standard layout concrete getting pushed over time, was crazy
@@ChapmansCorner Flat out in the Jedi? WOW.
Nice one!
Thanks!
Just posted! Arrived with perfect timing! :)
Congrats! You've really come along way this season! Enjoying the progress. Keep it up!
@@kuyper thanks for following along! Excited to see what happens with the rest of the season
