Thank you. Stay tuned
great video, i need to give one of those flake king a try!
Love the video
I’m on my second order. Stuff is beautiful. I laid down a mixture of fine and ultra fine with the flake king. Then I sealed it with 5 coats of uc21. My next stage is sanding it down. I kinda wish I put more clear on. Hope it don’t dull the shine.
That camera focus was tripping out, Dope video!
Yea it was having a hard time focusing. Theirs more video of the glass on his Instagram. @dinosstyle
@@vekswon0100 checking it now, love your work
Great stuff
Thanks for sharing.
Cool
Dino what tips on spraying with a regular spray gun mixed with intercoat or clear coat
Your work is incredible ! If i wanted to flame or pinstripe on top of the crushed glass , would I just go over it with another coat and then wet sand it with like 800 then spray flames or candy and then flow coat top lastly ?
Hey Dino,
Do you think some of the finer grit glass would spray in a clear basecoat out of a gun with a 2.0 tip? I'm trying to avoid using a flake gun on my upcoming project.
That is so cool!! What kind of airbrush for color transparent on skateboard? Like Iwata, Master, Badger and many etc....? Which best?
We like iwata
Ive used axaltas "wet" glass flake, it looks great but where do I get the dry stuff!?! Great info vid and work!!
Go to www.spawk.co and pick up our dry flakes and crushed glass
You can order from www.spawk.co
Can you pit clear flake over the spray on lace?? Like an Orange base, Black lace and gold flake?? Or is it incompatible?
I just found this same glass! I'm looking to learn how to shoot it like that. Can you recommend where to learn more?
If you have any questions let us know on Instagram @freak_flake
Obrigado irmão por ter deixado a legenda em português seu vídeo vai me ajudar muito 👏👏👏
What make are those glad flakes
What brand of crushed glass do you recommend?
you have to "splice"/edit in some top notch footage of the finished product while you are talking about it, as in show it in sun light. otherwise, awesome video. thanks for making it!
I tried to get this glass I can’t seem to order any
Go to www.spawk.co and click on products, then click on art supplies
It is back online

What's up homeboy you do Amazing work G , I was reaching out to u to see if you have or can get some cut glass??? Like the had in the early 70's late 80's , I'm painting my 64 and wanted to put a couple of peices of it on the roof of my impala with a pearl. I'm doing that look for my pop's. My name is louie, let me know if you can I would highly appreciate it
Thank you so much brotha. Yes. Go to the website we have a few different sizes. And it's the real deal.
@@vekswon0100 I just went to ur web site and didn't see any big pieces of the cut glass. I was looking for pieces the size of 16th of a inch . I don't want the flake everywhere just a hand full of pieces big pieces Scattered so when the sun hits it it will pop.
Where can I get a gun for crushed glass
And what happens to the sparkling when you cover it with candy? It sparkles more than flakes, but flakes also lose a lot of sparkle when you cover them… imo it is a bit of a false comparison with the candied flakes and clear glass.
I thought the glass was ridiculously pricey, but after seeing the sparkle it produces i just might use it instead of flakes from time to time…
The glass still shows its characteristics even as a base for over laying candy paint. Of course the color, hue, and saturation will effectiveness. A good example would be a yellow candy vs a dark blue. I've personally shot a full spectrum of candy colors and fades of the glass and they all still had a noticeable difference when compared to flake. Don't take my word for though. Try it for yourself with a test panel and share your review with us.
Mylar is more reflective and the crushed glass shimmers more... I see
Mylar reflects crushed glass refracts
Weird, is not all glass the same? I've tried crushed glass and did it just about not
hing.
No not all crushed glass is the same. Some is actually not crushed glass and some is chunky. Ours lays flat
@@vekswon0100 Hopefully it seems like I'm not debating you, but I crushd them all up in, I used Epoxy due to thickness and it just basically became transparent.MAYBE this effect is more notecible on a car the an 8x6 test panel?
@@joeydgraffix we use it on cars and we have test panels and live demos. Go check it out on Instagram @freakflake it's worth a try at $20.00
@@vekswon0100 Sorry, I'm not trying to troll you at all, but do you think you can show some longer videos? And are those glass pieces fully covered? Cause i did once piece that wasnt' full covered in crushed glass and it was incredible. BUT once the glass was 100% covered all the effects were gone.
@@joeydgraffix follow us on Instagram. We go live and teach every Thursday.
Awesome painting, but dude, turn off the auto focus.
It was a difficult video to get. Next one will be better. Promise
Can you get the crushed glass in different colors or no. I'm interested in this glass. As you stated mylar flake is you hair, clothes and everything else even if you are in a paint suit. 🤣🍻
We have the colored glass but not recommended for automotive application. Color will dye out in solvents
@@vekswon0100 Is the freak flake that's listed on your site regular mylar flake that I could use or is that the glass. Interested in that if it will lay down well and it's premium flake. 👊
@@chasejones3456 the flake we advertise is mylar quality flake. Made in USA, heat resistant, solvent resistant.
@@vekswon0100 Thank you my man. Yeah that's what I'm looking for. I appreciate your time and response. Will look back through and be purchasing some for sure. Thanks again 🙏
This is a pearlescent pigment. I am from China. Our factory produces this kind of glass flakes in various specifications and meets the EU standards. Our prices are also very cheap
