What a great review. Exactly what you want when comparing similar amps. Yeah it's only room mic'd but that's pretty much what you would hear anyway and certainly captures the essence of both amps side by side in the room. No mood lighting, no edgy edits! Much better than the over-produced reviews by the "influencers" Thank you
Nice review. Both good amps, and you will see them on backlines around the world for touring bands. The easiest and cheapest thing to do with these amps, is to buy a good EQ pedal and put it in the effects loop, and you wont need to swap out valves or speakers- just adjust the EQ and you will get the stock speakers to sound like any other speakers.
Bravo bel clip ! I have the blues deluxe and since I have changed the speaker has come alive !! Even the drive channel is better now, you get a good stones tone….takes pedals very well …..only complain is that the volume jumps very high from 1 to 3 like a lot of fenders though 😂😂
There is clearly something different in the blues deluxe circuit that allows it to capture all those great classic sounds exceptionally well. both my blues deluxe and hot Rod Deville 212 share the same speaker upgrade and yet, I still prefer the blues deluxe.
They both sound pretty great. Blues Deluxe if I had to pick. I do like that the Hot Rod is available in black… I had a tweed Hot Rod and no matter how much you try it’s going to get filthy.
I don’t even know why… but I just love the blues deluxe. The Hot Rod sounds great, but there’s just something about the BD that makes me say… yes! Sue me
I have the hot rod deluxe. But within this video, the blues deluxe sounds much better. Not sure what it is but MY hot rod does not sound like that. It sounds wayyy better than the video.
20 years and you don't like them! You are a funny guy! I play the HRD for 10 years (1998 US) and changed some things (HP...). For me it's a good receiver for all pedals and clean sound and reverbe are awsome. Drive channels can be use.................... by default...
@@MefreGuitar HRD is used by so many musicians on stage! Blues deluxe is more specialized on blues!!But I recently saw great bluesman Bernard Allison on stage playing on a FHRD. Ther is no rule!!!! Just ears!

thanks !!!
Truly the best comparison of these amps on the internet! Personally the Blues Deluxe sounded better in almost any clip. The HRD sounded flatter.

yours is great advice! I'll try it. by doing so you can change the amplifier at will by spending very little money.
Thank you!
Thank you for making the video. Blues Deluxe wins for me
Questo video mi è piaciuto e mi ha intrattenuto. Grazie di averlo condiviso. Pollice alto!!

Yes, it is tipical in this Fender amp series 😃🤷🏻♂️
My apologies, I see this was 2 years or more ago...what speaker did you put in your BD?
In agree, I heard from start till the end I think the blues deluxe more versatile and articulate all the way up and the Hot road I don't know
At 12:24 whaf overdrive is connected to the Blues Deluxe???Is sounds grear!
I use Line 6 HX effect and in particular "Compulsive Drive" that is Fulltone OCD simulation.
Great stuff!
There is clearly something different in the blues deluxe circuit that allows it to capture all those great classic sounds exceptionally well. both my blues deluxe and hot Rod Deville 212 share the same speaker upgrade and yet, I still prefer the blues deluxe.
yes, it is most likely the choice of speaker that leads to the most significant differences.
Thank u for letting me know I want a blues
Great comparison video! What overdrive pedal did you use around 10:20?
Thanks. It's a digital model of overdrive by HX effects Line 6, It's called Hair Apparent, and it's ispired by King of Tone Analog Man.
@ Thanks! Sounds good for a digital pedal!
@@joeyjojo8200 Thanks! Yeah!

I have the Blues Deluxe Western Noir limited edition which comes with a Celestion G12H65 speaker...it's yummy yum yum and reet gud innit...
Bellissimo video serviva finalmente una prova seria in italiano . grazie 1000
Grazie
Your guitar playing is beautiful, which one do you prefer? Thank you for the video
you are wellcome! I prefer Blues Deluxe for clean sound with few effects, and Hot Rod Deluxe like pedal platform.
Buongiorno Dario .. Ottimo ben fatto .. Grazie ...
Bravo
Suono gustoso con Fender Blues Deluxe !!!! Serissimo
is it blue deluxe reissue with the stock speaker?
Yes of course.
Blues Deluxe! Killer amp!
I don’t even know why… but I just love the blues deluxe. The Hot Rod sounds great, but there’s just something about the BD that makes me say… yes! Sue me
In some parts Blues sounds way better, but in some parts (most distortion sounds) Hot Rod sounds better. Anyway the both are awesome. 🙂
Yes, Blues deluxe is more warm and sometimes gos in crunch sound. Thanks for your comment
¿Qué guitarra usan?
Schecter Custom Shop Traditional SSS
Are all the settings the same on both amps?
yes!
Blues deluxe sounds much better 👍
both good i prefer the attack of IV
One is vintage, the other not! HRD more versatile, BD more bluesy...Both great!

I use bought a Fender Blues Deluxe
Its a very vintage sound amp. Very warm and look very beautifull

Same
Unless you're half deaf...the Blues Deluxe is clearly better. Sold my Hot Rod and got a Blues.
