OK, OK, Ok, This was a freedom of the likes I haven't seen or heard about in years. No longer confined to tracks or small parcels of land devoid of any real texture. What I just saw was pure enjoyment/passion reminiscent of decades ago when it was common place to ride anywhere we wanted. I hope that Bali attracts just the right amount of cycle adventures not to cause a stir.

now youve made me miss riding the volcanic sand of indo and the indonesian spirit. even when its all falling apart theyre still all smiles. the boys mush have loved having a big bule there to do a little kerja kerbau (buffalo work) pulling those bikes up the hills haha

MatiasPL absolutely. .. the little klx150's often by far the better choice. Most of the thai guys ride them here and go more easily up the knarliest tracks we do. Most of them kick my ass on my 330 machine ;))))

just rode in Bali for the second time, i could definitely stay there for a while, its such a great moto community
Love your work Adam, brings back great memories of hiring all manner of dirtbikes in foreign lands just to go exploring. From xr250s in Tanzania/Thailand/Indo, dr250 in Cambodia to a gem of a CRM250 I found on Ko Tao plus numerous 125 scooters have all taken me to places rarely seen by tourist eyes. Must bring on another trip soon...
When i lived in bali i bought one of those hybrids a Suzuki Satria 2 stroke road convert, even dodgier than that dudes Agp, would ride all the farming tracks out the back through the hills on the way to and from work every other day, explore the rivers n hills, so much fun, so many flats. Thankfully places everywhere to get it fixed and only 4 bucks, including the tube. Good times.
The Indo's can make anything work and will ride them through the toughest terrain. Awesome.
Definately, most the boys just running these hybrids.. no airbox, destroyed tyres, bugger all brakes, come back carryin the exhuast and whatnot haha. The next village over has a little flat track mx track in the middle, the whole town turns up to watch every friday arvo

Awesome! Parts of this remind me of trails in southern Colorado. Then the section on the Volcano reminded me of riding in Flagstaff Arizona.

Yep, brain-fade script fail. ;) Oh well, I did ask them for a TE but they only had FE's ... awesome bike though.
that's some very different terrain! Also you were riding an FE450, TE is the two banger :)
The only thing missing in this adventure was 2 stroke power and smell of premix!!
