This is probably the best video I have seen on Bali. It’s full of all the kinds of information that I would want plus some great tips that I wouldn’t of known I needed. Thanks for making this. Very well done!
Your video provides so much value!! Thank you so much for this!!! We'll be going to Bali this winter and your tips were gold!! 🙏
Thank you so much for this! I found a lot of comfort from your tips as a first-time solo traveller to Bali! Writing a list and keeping mental notes so I can maximise my time there. I have a retreat for a few days & then spend a couple days sightseeing before flying back to Aus. Am super nervous but looking forward to the experience. Thanks again for all your advice!!
Great video, best overview I've seen on Bali. I lived in Thailand and Cambodia for two years and video's like these really help travelers decide on where to go and what to do. Props.
i feel that this was the most useful video about Bali. Thanks man
Yes, some beaches in Bali are black sand beaches because Bali is a volcanic island. That’s how the soil is so fertile here (I’ve definitely seen plants grow everywhere, on the roof, on the pavement, etc). Black sand beach might be an experience though, when the sun is up, the black sand glitters, literally glitters, it’s so pretty
Thanks for this info!!! I’m taking a honeymoon to Bali. I was set on Ubud until I heard this😍
@@Cassiallunsi ubud is great too. It’s a different vibe. It has a lot of greeneries so it feels really fresh around the area. Regarding the black beach, make sure to do research beforehand because sanur beach, for example, used to be a black beach but not anymore since it receives imported sand to fight against corrosion
@@xoooxzzzz5744 I’ll just make sure to visit all of Bali haha. They have so much to offer and I heard the locals are very nice!
@@Cassiallunsi to tourist particularly and to westerners especially 😁
@@Cassiallunsi u can find white sand beaches also.. Melasti beach, Pandawa beach, padang padang, and many secret beaches other.. i love melasti beach
Great tips! Haven’t planned our Bali trip yet, so before we go, I’ll definitely be watching this video again.
Aww thank you very much for watching, glad you found it useful! Enjoy Bali when you go!
Thank you for this fun and detailed video. I enjoyed it much and now I cannot wait to go to beautiful Bali again!
Nice, thank you for showing important parts
Gratitude ✨️As a RVer and part-time vanlifer & digital nomad, I can't wait to visit Bali in 2023. Thanks for sharing your lessons learned 🤗
Going to Bali in just under 2 weeks and I can’t get enough of your travel tips, packing and now this Bali video! Thanks a lot good
Job! 🤜🏼
As other commenters have mentioned, Canggu has changed a lot, so you might consider a different jumping off point. Canggu is triple the price for an overly congested party hub. It's a victim of it's own publicity. It was so nice (in the opinion of Western urbanite influencers) that everybody made videos about it and more and more of the same type flocked there, which drove up prices, then they built new construction over all the place so no more natural scenery, and now it's kind of like an amusement park for wealthy westerners. It feels more like LA than Bali. If that's your kind of thing, you'll absolutely love it, but if you're coming to Bali to experience Bali then you'd be better off skipping it.
...or if you don't want to wait an hour in traffic to get 5 km down the road. 😆
Fortunately, there are still dozens of other great places to stay that are amazing! It all depends on what you like most. If you can answer the question, "What makes you want to go to Bali?" then I (or anyone else with recent experience) could suggest a better alternative.
Thank you for this. Really Great!
i love Bali the view is just amazing
Indonesia has a 35 USD Visa fee which you pay for on arrival at Bali International airport, You can pay cash or card!
you can pay on card now, we went last month!
@@dickeydosh thanks mate, just edited it, great to know!
Many people (tourist) know what you say.. You vlog no use ....
Do they still prefer cash now? Or is card payment preferred?
We arrived here a week back. They accepted card payment.
Great and very useful video! Thanks a lot bro
Superb video mate. all in one with actual planning wow
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the tips!
Amazing video! Thanks for sharing all of these tips!
No worries, glad they were useful!
When on Gilli T, make sure to stroll trough the centre of the island. Malaca hill lounge is a nice bar with Jamaican vibe in the centre of the island and we had a great time there!
Thank you for visiting Bali Indonesia.
Little information, did you know that in Bali there are 26 volcanoes. Not only that, they even have different historical characteristics this is real because many foreign tourists don't know about this volcanoes in Bali. Most of them know that in Bali there are only 2 or 4 volcanoes which actually have 26 volcanoes in Bali.
List of Volcanoes in Bali Indonesia.
1). Agung = 3.142m
2). Abang = 2.152m (My favorit in Bali).
3). Adeng = 1.826m
4). Batukaru = 2.276m
5). Batur = 1.717m (My favorit In Bali).
6). Banyu Wedang = 430m
7). Catur = 2.098m
8). Klatakan = 698m
9). Kutul = 842m
10). Seraya = 1.058m (My favorit In Bali).
11). Lesung = 1.860m
12). Lok Badung = 1.028m
13). Merbuk = 1.356m
14). Mesehe = 1.300m
15). Musi = 1.215m
16). Mundi = 529m
17). Ngandang = 622m
18). Patas = 1.414m (My favorit in Bali).
19). Penulisan = 1.745m
20). Pohen = 2.089m (My favorit In Bali).
21). Prapat Agung = 310m
22). Sanghyang = 2.087m
23). Sangiang = 1.004m
24). Sidemen = 826m
25). Silang Jana = 1.903m
26). Ancient Bratan = ?m (Exploded).
Volcanoes in Indonesia are included in the biological mother of Indonesia. If the total number of volcanoes in Indonesia is more than 570 - 600 with different characteristics (on land + in the underwater sea). I hope you have a pleasant trip and have an extraordinary experience while in Indonesia because too many strange places.
Visit one of the volcanoes (Mother biological Indonesia) at least 1 or 2 times, because it is different in all conditions or routes and you can also see other volcanoes than the one you are currently climbing. As well as having different histories regarding of eruptions that have occurred. But be carefull and this real.
Other information : Even near Bali there is the island of Lombok which has 27 volcanoes. List of volcanoes in Lombok :
1). Rinjani = 3.726m (My favorit in Lombok).
2). Senkereang = 2.919m
3). Tanaklatur = 2.664m (My favorit in Lombok).
4). Plawangan = 2.612m
5). Barujari = 2.351m (My favorit in Lombok).
6). Atas Timuk = 2.238m
7). Nangi = 2.330m
8). Malang = 2.251m
9). Propok = 2.077m
10). Kanji = 2.045m (My favorit in Lombok).
11). Iyasa = 2.029m
12). Buanmangge = 1.916m
13). Seribu = 1.910m
14). Andas = 1.893m
15). Marungmerimis = 1.892m
16). Baliyuk = 1.732m (My favorit in Lombok).
17). Pergasingan = 1.670m
18). Bukitbau = 1.668m
19). Turunanjalan = 1.626m
20). Ketimun = 1.602m
21). Sengkor = 1.490m (My favorit in Lombok).
22). Mundung = 1.440m
23). Meninting = 1.418m
24). Bau = 1.336m (My favorit in Lombok).
25). Selong = 1.200m (My favorit in Lombok).
26). Mesjidborok = 1.272m
27). Muteran = 1.083m
28). Samalas = ?m (Exploded).
So, imagine just Bali + Lombok = 2 island in Indonesia but have 54 Volcanoes.
The total height of the volcanoes on the island of Bali = 35.527m
The total height of the volcanoes on the island of Lombok = 54.282m
35.527m + 54.282m = 89.809 (Only 2 islands in Indonesia are counted but the height of the volcano is almost 100.000m).
There are many more volcanoes on other islands in Indonesia, all of which have different characteristics. Basically the territory of Indonesia is the volcano itself which forms a curved basin if one looks at it from the global maps. That is the real 100% biological mother of Indonesia = Volcanoes (Including Krakatau, Toba, Tambora, Samalas, Awu & Leuser in Indonesia).
(One above all / Volcanism of Indonesia).
If talk about all the volcanoes in Indonesia, it's like discussing something that is mega colossal and very complicated if explained in detail. There are even many tourists who will be very confused, because on the island of Bali there are still many tourists who think that there are only 4-6.
Good video and stay healthy.
You gave us a history lesson. I’m proud I learned something today though!
Panjang amat wkwkw 😂🤣🙏 dia cuman kasih info selama dia traveling di bali 🤣😂 di info tentang gunung semua , keren kok
..
I did a guided hike on Mount Batur. Phenomenal!!
Okayyyyy👍 that was quite the roll 😂❤
Great insight thanks for the video
Wonderful and helpful, with stunning shots of what to expect in various places. I have been living in Bali for nearly 17 years now, and have had a little experience with visas of different types. It must be emphasised that a stay longer than a month or two (I am unsure of the exact latest wheezes that the Indonesian authorities have dreamed up to inconvenience visitors), but perhaps suggesting a visit to a local Indonesian embassy/consulate in the visitors' home-country before departure would clarify things. Otherwise getting a visa-agent or visiting imigrasi in Bali might not be much fun. Running into overstay will be seriously frowned upon, and maybe expensive.
I liked your camera-work, and still have some places I'd like to visit from your list.
Bravo.
Good value video for some quick up to date research on Bali - haven't been there for a long time. Thanks.
great video ,Bali is on my bucket list and after watching this im booking ,thanks you so much
Bali is the beauty of facilities, Raja Ampat is the beauty of nature

Friendship greetings, introduce I'm from Indonesia I am located in Java and my home is close to Mount Bromo the mountain you mentioned in your video... I'm still improve my English and I found your video very interesting.
Here I learned a lot about Bali too and English thank you very much...
I would like to visit Bromo soon
Thank you for An awesome and excellent video. I enjoyed it
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!

Dude! Good video. Good info. Especially, get there early.
Awesome tips! Thank you:)
Love your tips. & we've subbed for support ! Bali is such an amazing place to visit
Aww thank you for support! 😌
As Indonesian myself, your tips are top notch better than some local guides 🤭
Aww thank you very much! 😊
Indeed, indeed
hiii just want to ask, there is airport in Bali right? and how many hours approximately the travel going to any hotel resorts? thank you for the response
@@sectorofzee422 Bali has it's own international airport. Last time I was there I stayed in Kuta at the Grand Inna, and it was a short drive from the airport. So close, in fact that I went walking down the boardwalk enjoying the beaches at sunset one evening and accidentally ended up back at the airport. 😂 Canggu is about 30 minutes to 2 hours north up the coast depending on time of day because of extremely dense traffic. Sanur, Nusa Dua, and Seminyak are each about 30 minutes, but in different directions. Ubud is about 1 to 1.5 hours from the airport depending on ring road traffic. Lovina on the Northern shore and Amed on the Eastern shore are each about 3 hours away from the airport, but could be 4 or more during peak hours.
Thanks Joel! Will try Canggu. First time to travel to Bali on my birthday. 😊
really nice video, thanks!
Best Bali video ever
Thank you for making this video! I am moving here at the end of the month and this was super helpful 😅
Glad it was helpful! Have a good time in Bali!
Great stuff Joel!!
Thanks Ryan!
Awesome video!
Thanks for sharing.
Bali has several white sand beaches.. Melasti, pandawa, padang-padang, and many more secret beaches.. i love melasti beach..
Nice video , wonderful upload !
Thank you very much! 😊
I just started planning for my trip to Bali this December and stumbled across your video (thanks to RUclips's algorithms lol) -- thanks so much for the useful tips! I was originally planning on a surf trip but your hikes to the volcanos look STUNNING. I should def try that. And of course Lombok. Thank you!!!
Yess! Honestly I love Lombok highly highly recommend it!! Have a great time, and thanks for watching! 😊
I'm planning a trip the last week of December first week of January. I'll wave at you as we fly by
Did you find the weather was okay in December as I'm thinking of going then but worried about the fact its rainy season. Did it stop you from doing the activities like swim with Dolphins, Mount Batur etc?
Good job Joel!!!
Excellent and informative video! Headed to Bali in March next year and this video made me even more excited!! 🤗🤗
hey! I just came across your comment and im also going to Bali in march! I just wanted to ask you, are you worried that it will still be rainy season in march? have you done more research about weather ?
@@dianakawkji3032 how fun! I have done a bunch of research on it and am not that worried anymore. It's also towards the end of rainy season and I've heard that if it rains, it's usually intense for maybe an hour and then that's it. Also the air and everything is much fresher afterwards so it's actually not a bad thing! I went to Thailand once during rainy season and it was not a big issue. A few rain bursts here and there but we would just seek shelter at a café and wait it out 😊
Im also going in March, will land in Bali on the 10th. I hope there isnt much rain
Great video to set the basis of planing my Bali trip 👌 you mentioned bargaining, what was your experience, is it usually a half priced deal that is the “normal” price you end up getting?
if you come to Bali again, you welcome to stay few days at Amore Villas or Mayana Villas in Canggu.
Hi thanks for sharing. Can I ask how physically demanding the mount back tour is? It looks pretty cool.
Thanks
Love your vidio ❤
Thank you!
Indonesia is my dream country greetings from Bradford United Kingdom
Great video
Excellent video!
I am just starting to plan my bali trip in februar! Thanks to your great video and tips 😊 i hope the vulcan won‘t blow me away 😉😂
I love Bali 👍🏻😃
This is so well put. I am planning Bali next year around March with my would-be wife.
These are gold points that you have shared.
Thanks Joel :)
I am going with my hubby in March too :)
Also i m going in march

Hi thanks for more information, I've been to Bali a couple of times only for 2 weeks I love it, my friend usually goes for a couple of months do you know if you can extend your visa when y arrive in the airport instead of coming back to extend it later on.
A great video with really good advice except for 1 point. You mention scooters are a great way to get around. I totally agree. What you should also mention is you need to hold a motorcycle licence in your home country and have an International Driving Permit that indicates this. If you are don't have a licence and are injured in an accident travel insurance will not cover you or your passenger if you have one.. As you correctly state traffic in the built up areas is horrendous. I would hate to ride as an inexperienced rider in those conditions. I am an experienced rider and still don't like riding. As a regular Bali traveller I have heard too many stories where an unlicensed rider has been injured and a go fund me page has been set up to cover the huge medical expenses. In addition they run the risk of being pulled over by the police and as they don't have a licence pay the police officer money to be let off. Put simply a person doesn't ride illegally in their home country so therefore they shouldn't think it is ok to do in Bali.
Thank you for letting me know!! I am leaving in exactly 23 days. Hopefully it’s enough time to get those licenses..
Hi! Great info thx! Whats best time of year to go?
Such a great and helpful video❤ I’m moving to Bali in two months time and I’m so excited❤ I’m doing this alone so I am a little scared
When are u going?:)
As an Indonesian, I can say your reccomendations are approved ❤
Sanur Beach is the best 🤗
Dream beach with white sand.
3:09 I'd recommend Gili Air any day of the week unless you are about only partying. The Gilis isnt a part of Bali but rather Lombok
Hi Joel, love your travel vlogs! Me and my gf are doing 6 months next year... Have you got any tips on extending the Indonesia/Bali visa, we think we will be there for nearly 2 months. You appear to have been there for a while yourself..so any tips would be great!
Sam
everything you said is so true, on the bad things to avoid I'll add this for surfers: do not buy a used surfboard with big art on it, I did and found out the art was to cover up the repair of a broken board, on the biggest day of surf it brooked and I missed the best swell of my life. also watchout the scooters, one guy ripped my phone with all my photos on it (on the last day of the trip, at least I have my gopro pics), other than that everything was magic and I'm definitely coming back one day
Thanks so much for the great video! For a family with young children going for a month, what are your top 4 places to go? Is canggu too busy? Also, where there many mosquitos around?
After travelling to Bali for the last 20 years the last place I would stay would be Canggu. Even if I was offered free accommodation! It was great a decade ago when it was off the beaten track with unsealed roads and go to the Echo Beach Bar. Best places to stay Legian and Sanur. No want-to-bes and Instagramers, urgh!
Want-to-bes 🤣🤣
Agree. Been going to Bali for decades. Canggu is a hole and way over-rated and over-oriced 👎👎👎
Great video! thanks for all the tips! Do we have to book the accommodation in advance or can we just come and find someting on the spot?
So in peak tourist season from July to August, I would try a book a little ahead as the best places to stay will book up but you can still get away with not booking just maybe won't be quite as good value or as cheap, but not need to book if you want to be flexible
Thanks for this video. When did you last visit Bali and was a Visa required to enter?
Good video mate
Hi Joel - I love the background Map on the wall. Can you tell me where you got it ! And what was the price.
nice content subscribed
Thank you so much for this video! Regarding the budget: please, let us know what is the prices for renting an apartment? What is the minimum amount of money should I have to cover the rent?
Wow, very informational vlog, really loved it 👍 just want to know if there is any other way of transportation in bali apart from scotty and what are the charges ?
Very good video
Nice video, as an Indonesian myself I feel like your advices are really relevant to a foreigner :) On a sidenote, I just wondering why black sand beaches are always seen as "not beautiful" ? hahah I personally find something so unique about this volcanic sand !
Hi I am planning a trip of 2 weeks to bali this october and since you are from Indonesia could you perhaps tell me about the weather in october? How is it usually like? Is it hot? Does it rain? Is it dead? Just an idea even if you are not from bali? I´m a little worried, Thanks
@@danteneves I'm not a Balinese, but from a neighbouring country. So what I say may or may not be accurate. But I assume beginning till mid of October should be fine. November is when the monsoon really starts (that is, in my country).
Also, with the recent news, it was stated that the heat waves rumoured to last until October. I guess, if your goodself is from a 4 season country, October would be sort of the Autumn, which in this case for Bali should be in between the Sunny & Wet season.
With that said, I also assume the crowd will start to fade upon October, since many would start to worry about the monsoon will disrupt their lovely trip there.
I would also love to hear from Isabelle. I myself would also love to visit Bali end of August.
Hello, Thanks for the awesome video.
What would your recommended itinerary be for a 7 night honeymoon in the month of June?
This was fabulous- Thank you ! I’m solo in Ubud on a budget . Any places you’d recommend to stay in the heart of the town please ? x
Thank you so much for sharing! I have a question regarding sim card and good wifi. My bf and I are planning to go there and do little work too. Also do you have any recommendation since we would like to stay in one place longer (up to 1 month) which place would you recommend from your experience.
thank you for showing me the grab app it will make my travel way easier to plan now thank you:)
Honeymoon in Bali Indonesia great
Selamat minikmati di Bali Indonesia
Volcano...waterfalls...bali safari
Thanks for the info! Would you recommend any specific vaccine?
Hey! great video and thx for the tips. i am going to BALI next month for 12 days...wish it was much longer but i am so gratfull to be able to go. i am thinking doing 3 spots Ubud 3 days, then head to kitamini anf finely Gili air 4 days to relax and meditation. does that sounds reasonable?
The only place where there’s traffic all the time is around Kuta, Seminyak and Canggu area, everywhere else is typically relatively smooth. Riding a scooter is a faster way to go but PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND DONT EVER BE RECKLESS. If you can’t ride a scooter, don’t try it for the first time there. I don’t know how many times I’ve been in a car in Bali with the driver almost having a heart attack cause of a tourist who is not proficient at riding a scooter. Also, each country have their own road system so if you’re not 100% confident that you can adapt well and is a great driver, it’s better to use those transportation apps.
Also, if you’re in Bali by the time of this comment (early January) be careful of being in the street cause the wind is really harsh and trees might fall
good job buddy 🙏🇹🇷
For our ferry we paid 350 from Hotel in Ubud to Gili Trawangan including transfer to the port. (Vijaya Perkasa). Eka Jaya is more expensive
Hi mate. Thank you for this amazing and helpful video. I hope you enjoyed it as you planned it. I am watching it from Iran and I am planning to go soon. My question is where do I have to exchange my money? Do I have to carry cash or I can I get a credit card?
I would be appreciated if you tell me how money works there. Thank you
Great tips.. I am planning to stay 10 days at bali but I have no idea how to see all these places withen 10 days thanks for advice
How much did you pay for a visa for 4 months? I had a look online and can only see the 30 days visa, with an option to extend a further 30 days. Was a 4 month visa really expensive? And can you extend your stay 3+ months once you're there or do you have to do it online beforehand? Thanks!
Such a helpful video, I am planning to spent one month in Indonesia next year, just have a question... can you stay in a hostel/hotel in bali and still travel around all bali or should I go to each place changing accommodations?
you can. just book the hotel/hostel for longer period
Good job
