  • There has been concern about the state of Taji's back for a little while now, so he finally made an appointment with a Chiropractor. Not just any chiropractor, but a Chiropractor with many One Star Reviews. Dr Abel Rodriguez is an energy healer who claims to be able to heal anybody of anything by using applied kinesiology, much to the dismay of many customers who expect a crack and correction. Let's see what he can do for Taji and the crew.

      you guys at vice seriously owe all the success to @philipsolotv you all stole his ideas he has done which go back before you guys at vice ever started this "one star review" theft.
      philip solo created "worst reviewed" series and you rebrand it under a larger channel calling it "one star reviews".
      this is plain and clear stolen content, this is philips signature style of content, you owe him more then an explanation, im just a fan of philipsolotv and i dont support stealing anyones art or hard work.

My mom’s friend recommended him and offered to pay for my first appointment… he proceeded to place me on a turn table and flip me over repeatedly while telling me to fix my relationship with god and my pain would leave. I was 15 and had recently lost a friend to suicide. My mom filled out paperwork where she stated my friend’s death. The doctor brought it up while having my lying down with my arms in the air.

Just because he's nice and seems to genuinely believe what he's doing doesn't mean he's any good. I had a friend whose entire family started going to this one chiropractor. He had great reviews from the community. He would do normal chiropractic things and energy healing, mindfulness a bunch of stuff. Now I’m a bit out there I believe in energy that everything is, I have faith in many controversial things. So I’m not expressly opposed to these things. However this chiropractor was a quack. Three of his patients died because he told them after the energy healing they could cold turkey their medications. One of them was on blood thinners for High blood Pressure and he had a heart attack. The other two were on some sort of depression/bipolar medications and died from complications due to withdrawal. He is still practicing and still recommending people stop taking their prescription medication because he healed them. I believe in alternative natural medicines, but this man didn’t even believe in any medications. One of those light diet, goop new age quacks. A dangerous quack.

    28 year chiropractor here. The one thing you need to understand is that there are MANY different types of chiropractic care, some of which don't even involve touching the patient. Network Spinal Analysis (NSA), for example, doesn't "crack" the spine at all. Neither does the "drop table" technique, Activator technique and several others. I've met hundreds of patients who've been to other chiropractors and have had "good" and "bad" results. I use a technique that involves cracking the spine because that is true essence of chiropractic; moving the vertebrae to deliver relief from nerve compression and help the body heal itself.

    Chiropractic adjustments do only release pain and improve your flexibility temporarily, but if you return to bad habits like having a bad posture sitting in front of the computer 24/7, then the adjustments will quickly revert. Same with these energy treatments which only improves your mental health (as placebo) temporarily. You will need to do medical gymnastics or go to the gym to improve your muscles and stretch properly, and live and think healthy to be healthy. The temporary effects of chiropractice can certainly ease your way into working out, but it's not a solution. Any chiropractor implying you can be helped solely by them is a fraud. Speaking as a person living in a country where chiropractors are required to be certified by the state, and are actively cooperating with other medical services., aka not living a ultra-capitalistic nation as USA where you can pay and corrupt your way into these kind of practices, nor have the ''liberty'' or ''freedom'' to fraud others.

    What he is saying about emotions causing all diseases and problems is actually true. Negativity causes numerous illnesses as I have rightfully experienced myself. In certain cases the disease is genetical caused by a genetical mutation, but in the case the person is born healthy, any negative emotions or thoughts ultimately cause all diseases and illnesses. I used to be heavily negative, full of stress and surrounded by the same kind of people. I suffered with blood clots in the brain, heart problems, depression, anxiety and breathing issues. When i eventually went through an awakening after doing the toad, and changing to a fully positive individual no longer associated with same kinds of people as i once was, life miraculously got better. I have not been ill since and the blood clots have dissapeared. Its called mental wealth, for the one true great power a man has is in fact his mind. The mind creates everything, and all answers to life are found within. The more spiritual and positive you are, the greater your life becomes. You are a result of all your past thoughts, and sooner rather than later, if you have constructive positive thoughts, your reality will reflect that. The great secret you have all been kept from your whole lives is yourself. You are taught to fear being different because everyone else was conditioned in the same way to remain unawake and have nothing that will truly make you happy throught your entire life. Life was always just about you and you alone, and learning how to live the life of self, developing your consciousness to operate on higher power. You are all capable of reaching this level of understanding but how many of you will ever actually listen to the truth.

    The Chiro is being honest about how "out of alignment" bones get & that you shouldn't ever expect a crack. That's ethical.
    Whats unethical is submitting people to other therapies without informed consent & (potentially) not delivering the chiro they went in for.
    Communication and expectation failings are what's happening here.

    • @SarcasticData
      @SarcasticData Год назад +6

      I'm just curious but what makes you think that cracking your back or joints is something you should never expect?
      Everything I have heard from actual doctors, including just a simple google search, has said the opposite and that it's not harmful at all.
      The "crack" you hear is just nitrogen bubbles. What do you think the sound is and why?

    • @aussiejubes
      @aussiejubes Год назад +3

      @@SarcasticData I don't think I understand what you're asking exactly.
      Here's what I do know (I'm not an expert at all, I'm a massage therapist who sees a chiro). The latest science regarding chiro is showing it doesn't actually do much lol. Having said that, double blind studies can never be conducted because you can't fake-crack a body to test placebo.
      Chiro is high velocity manoeuvres that take people through sometimes a big range of motion, and sometimes at extreme angles. The upshot is that we either feel better, feel nothing or occasionally something bad happens. Like paralysis and nerve impingement.
      That cracking activates the heck out of your parasympathetic nervous system so it can lead to feeling great, even if nothing much eventuates physically.
      It's fine to get cracked. People have their own experience with chiro and whether science hasn't caught up or it's purely placebo, for the most part it won't hurt anyone. It can though, there are risks & they can be tragic.
      Some of us love the sound and feeling of a crack, and chiros are known for cracking (although they prefer to call it adjusting) so it's definitely the expectation when seeing a chiro. That's why they need to manage expectations because not everyone will crack and the cracks aren't necessary to be adjusted.
      I have no idea if that answers your questions lol.

      I stopped seeing my chiro about 9mths ago because I was going every 2 weeks (not at his behest, I just liked the relief I got lol) but my body started tightening up towards the end of the 2 weeks & I would joke that I'd schedule my next headache for 2 weeks ago (meaning my next chiro appt) because like clockwork, 1-2 days before my fortnightly appointment I'd get a headache.
      I think my body got too used to the regularity & my pain became psychosomatic lol. I'll just go when I have a problem now.

    • @SarcasticData
      @SarcasticData Год назад +2

      @@aussiejubes I think the science has caught up though and it's definitive.
      Research has shown a modest reduction in pain for SOME people SOME time for SOME symptoms and the relief is only temporary at best.
      Health insurance doesn't cover it and they aren't overseen by any organization, which is why you get people like the man in the video using "energy healing" (which is bs. energy is a unit of measurement not a magical cloud of emotions etc.) and he can continue his 'profession' without being closed down for fraud anymore than you can close down a fortune teller.

    If you pay attention to Taji’s face when he tested his emotional reflex and told him that that was the cause, he was pretty emotional. Sometimes being forced to confront that really releases the tension if you can rise to meet that stress and are aware of it.
    The correct term for the Doc would be applied kinesiologist but you have to be a chiropractor first. Many guys who do alternative modalities get a chiropractic license first so they can call themselves a doctor and be insured. It’s fairly common, especially in California for Chiros to go off the path of chiropractic and do whatever they like. And chiropractic came from energy healing, the origins are the same. Correcting subluxations has more to do with energy than it does matter. It all revolves around energy flowing and polarities. Which explains why many people don’t usually get better when a chiropractor takes back cracking too seriously, at best short term relief. Usually when people actually get better it’s because people become more mindful of their posture and do things to improve their life like exercise and nutrition. There are some chiros who have a great understanding of the body and get people feeling better, but it doesn’t ensure the problem doesn’t come back unless people address the root issue. And the root issue often times has to with something in our patterning. The lesson is try to improve yourself and don’t dismiss those that try to help, especially if you’re guided to them after seeking the truth, always be humble and be smart, and try to understand where the person is coming from. Don’t dismiss a lifetime of experience because it offends you but also know it’s okay to have your own experience.
    I think this was a positive program all in all. And I’m not inclined to go to Dr Rodriguez, only because I know many alternative healers myself and would never pay money for it. An open mind and humble attitude is what my docs will receive.
