In short, demand either a total refund, or for SHERP to replace your vehicle. Maybe time to lawyer up ?*

    The Sherp is a fine atv if it was priced as it should be. There;s not more than 20K worth of value in it. There is someone in Iowa building his own budget version and some day I want to build one too. Good for you warning the rest of us who cannot afford a Sherp that we are not missing out on anything. My 1972 Attex is still running and has been cheap to fix and it tons of fun.

    • @PutlerXLO
      @PutlerXLO 2 года назад +1

      Seriously, 20k? For a small batch niche product with a lot of manual labor? Ok, build the same thing and I will buy it for 20k :D Its tires alone cost about $8k))

    • @chargermopar
      @chargermopar 2 года назад +2

      @@PutlerXLO You really think there was more than 20K worth of parts in that thing? Sherps seem to fall apart throughout their life. This is the same as the old 6 wheelers they descended from. Cheap rigid frame chain drive machine, no suspension or any high tech. Should sell for no more than 50K at the time. With inflation now they would be more expensive although I think the geopolitcal situation is not currently favorable

    • @PutlerXLO
      @PutlerXLO 2 года назад +2

      @@chargermopar Well, if you consider the cost of scrap metal, then probably even less :) There is manual small-scale production, development from scratch, and no conveyors or robots. They will not sell it at cost of production. Tesla in the early years cost more than $100k, with complete automation and a huge scale of production and a bunch of investors. Sherp most likely has credit funds, and the loan is at 20-25% per annum. I think its fair price is 60-80k dollars, but since people buy for 130k, then it costs 130k - this is a business. iPhone does not cost $1200, its components cost $300, nevertheless, people buy it, and sleep in lines. Although it sells with multimillion-dollar parties. For 130k$ you can buy at least two planes with 2 passengers seats like A-22, so yeap this is over price.

    Looks like it must have been resolved as this video is 3 years old.
    But for future diagnostics I agree with previous poster. Your Main Shore Power switch is wired backwards. But that's the start..... Take a Charging system tester and hook up the terminals as stated . Mine is made by Mac but any quality one will work. From there find out what the charging voltage is. Should be around 14-14.5 . If not you have a bad alternator . You said yourself it worked ok up until now even with the shore power mains wired wrong . Its under warranty I assume . Once thru tech support you can prove the Alternator is bad they should ship a new one out gratis. If so make sure since you paid 135k for this item they ship out overnight. Hope this helps.

    It shouldn't really matter that the fan runs from cold as the radiator will have a stat (or should have) so water will only flow through the radiator when it needs cooling. Yes they could add a thermostat/fan control but that is another thing to go wrong. My understanding of this machine is that it is designed to keep going in extreme environments and that means reducing the amount of things you have to rely on.

If they sold you a bad product then they should either fix all of these problem or refund you your money. If they won't then take them to court, why remain stuck with 135, 000 bad product since you have documentation of all the issues?

      Watch the video of the comparison between sherp and fat truck. I wouldn’t buy a fat truck but I’d definitely sell my Sherp lol…I think a few years need to go by before a quality product is put out that the public can rely on in situations where we are hunting far away from help or something. They just aren’t reliable. The problem with Fat truck is they are to reliant on electronics. That’s one of the things that drew me to a Sherp in the first place. They have similar electronics to a Cat skidsteer (which I own) and inevitably the electronics fail more than anything and I didn’t want that when I was hunting in the middle of no where or out on a wildfire helping the forestry in the middle of no where. They are both cool machines but even knowing what I know now, I’d buy a Sherp still. Sounds stupid but it’s the truth. If I absolutely HAD to have one, which no one does, it would be a Sherp but I would t recommend anyone buy one for a few years and let them work the bugs out. Terrible waste of $140,000. Their values as a company are so bad. They have completely stopped talking to me now. I’m dealing with an independent dealer who’s been more helpful than Corp. They are upset about these videos. Too bad though, make a better product. If they didn’t screw me over I wouldn’t post these but they did so now they can suffer whatever wrath comes from them. I have another video that’s probably the most damning one of them all. Emails and communication between Sherp corporate, Argo and myself in regards to these machines. It’s sooooooo bad for them.

      @secondmouse9458 2 года назад +2

      @@sherpusa The video you reference is a joke. Whenever you compare apples to oranges you are instantly wasting your time and ours. If you wanted to compare the Fat Truck to a Sherp you should have picked the smaller Sherp Pro 1000, which by price, weight, size, and capability is the only match up with the Fat Truck. This video fails to provide any meaningful comparison since it doesn't mention the price of either machine, alludes to an independent test ground, whatever that is, and is clearly biased towards the Sherp since an independent test agency didn't do the testing. Another joke is the comparison of the warranty of the two vehicles with claims that because the Sherp offers a longer warranty period somehow that makes it more reliable, which is utterly stupid and unproven by anything in the video. As far as ease of use, if you think pulling on two levers while you are clutching and shifting and pushing on an accelerator pedal is better than using one single joystick for all drive functions then you obviously haven't driven the Fat Truck and experienced the simplicity of having one control for all driving purposes, including counter-steering, something the Sherp will never be able to do since you can't make the tires on one side of the Sherp go in the opposite direction of the tires on the other side of the vehicle like you can with the Fat Truck, an extremely useful advantage when operating off-road in narrow confines. Better luck next time guys.........
