Hey buddy love your Sherp content if you haven't upgraded your output shaft to the HD one available and center chain to the oil bath dual chain upgrade I would definitely recommend it. I have broke both a few times. And it is possible to get them stuck but easy to get them unstuck and back partying.
What’s up brother man. I’m still rock in 2014 Can-Am commander poor man’s lift kit on 30s. I did it up just like the one you had. Different doors and such but still to this day I haven’t had any problems. Snap the winch and my steering wheel tilt fell out so it’s like riding a bronco lol steering wheels just flopping up and down.. been a subscriber long time like your continent a lot. If you ever end up in Norcal hit me up we got a lot of cool shit around here. I live really close to where they did all of the hydraulic mining and there’s also a lot of lakes and rivers. I think that rubber strip is probably more to protect the metal edges from brush and tree limbs and crap.

The strips, although do keep mud from slinging onto the body, it’s more meant to make it street legal. Tires have to be covered so hopefully there aren’t anymore calls to the popo because now he can actually get a ticket.

Shouldn't really an odds as it's water cooled. The engine will only get as hot as the thermostat will let it.

New England is the perfect setting for the Sherp. Your in Massachusetts and there is some great spots to drive the Sherp I live in NH and I can see in my neck of the woods the Sherp is the perfect NH vehicle . awesome video , thanks for sharing.

I see a habit of the neighbors calling the police on you for BS. The other time was when you got some wood scraps from the dumpster of a construction site in your neighborhood. The guy that confronts you knows who you are, but still calls the police. The police came to your home took the wood scraps and then asked to see paperwork on all of your vehicles.

That sherp is looking good. Can’t wait to see it with the roll cage and the turbocharger upgrades. It looked liked quite a lot more power with that throttle upgrade now it can do wheel stands.

Im guessing most places have laws where tires can't stick out further than the bodywork so it probably helps with that. As well in the water it will help keep water under the fender and flowing might be quite turbulent without it.
It keeps a lot of mud, water spray, and anything else off the body and windows.
Things my neighbors have "tattled on me" for: 1) Having the nerve to change the suspension and wheel bearings on one of my BMW's In My Driveway! 2) Reporting my awesome outdoor fireplace to the fire department and zoning department (because they have little crappy fire pits) Zero infractions or laws broken BTW! 3) Calling the police on me for having a farewell party on the patio, (with a fire in the fireplace) for friends who were moving out of the country. (It was 9:02 PM In July and we were disturbing the peace by "laughing too loudly". I"m sure there will be future tattling! Rich, my recommendation is to visit them and introduce yourself and give them a gift...They will Not Know how to handle such "agressiveness." ( I was going to give a dozen ear plug "roses", but wifey shot me down!
That is a common problem in Germany.
I have some old hag as a neighbor that moved in years after me and calls the cops for everything I do.
They literally spy on me from different places and wait till I do something they don't agree with.
They even called the cops when I was cleaning the driveway.
After 10+ times talking to the police I got so annoyed that I just went ahead and recorded everything they did just the way they always did.
After collecting for 3 years I screwed them while the cops showed up once again for some random bulshit.
I never did anything illegal but they actually did several times....
Guess who is quiet now 💀

Rich, You might want to think about putting step traction strips on those fenders. The Sherp has nice big fat tires, But even a bulldozer can slide on ice and no one wants to slide off a trailer. Best of luck to ya...

they probs put the film on before riveting because when wrapping over rivets you tend to trap little bits of air in the middle and around the collar, causing the film to let go over time. Also its way easier to install on flat panels, if you had the chance to wrap the Sherp while it was being put together thats how i would have done it. 👌

The flaps are a requirement in MA unfortunately
Chapter 90: Section 7 - "...Every passenger motor vehicle which is equipped with tires which extend beyond the fenders or body of such vehicle and which is operated in or upon any way shall be equipped with flaps or suitable guards to reduce such spray or splash to the rear and sides..."
You're allowed to have protruding tyres, because it's off-road, but you have to have "flaps" of some description XD.
Think the ruffling was more to do with the bodywork damage tbh.

The aluminum Sherp cabs are made from are wrapped and coated BEFORE each piece is cut and installed. Makes it easier and much faster. That’s why the rivets are over the wrap.

Rich! one thing you might want to think of doing, and this is a super easy replacement, is swapping out that old windshield wiper for a new one to avoid streaking/damaging the glass. just a thought. love the vid, looks fantastic.

Regarding the mud flap trim thing, does Mass have a law where it needs to stay there? In NH, it's illegal to have tires that stick out past the bodywork, so those flaps would be required to be road legal since they sort of extend the width of the bodywork.
It's really more of a tractor than a car. Pretty sure that law wouldn't apply to tractors or ATVs...
This thing is not exactly street legal anyway.

It uses a tractor triangle, it doesn’t follow car laws it follows tractor laws, it can’t go over 25mph on public roads etc

You can use an old tennis shoe to get more life and use out of those sandpaper pads. You just use the pad on the shoe and the rubber will ungunk the paper and will get you 30 or 40% more use.
I think the rubber skirts are for both when on water and to keep the tyres covered as per road rules
