I've never seen a big group of friends having this good of a time building this good of a cabin. Good design choices and well executed!

Thank you for sharing the process of building a very professional and perfect cabin. The finished cabin is very beautiful and convenient.
Great simple design. I love the mono-pitch roof, great kitchen layout, great little woodburning stove, cosy loft, good use of drywall - you didn't go overboard (no pun intended ;-) on the wood... And that porch! A great example of how less can be so much more. Enjoy!

What a group of friends

I'm from India and I'm really curious about how things work there at your place. Like can anyone build a cabin on any mountain and use the trees and woods? Is it state owned property or anyone who love to build a cabin can do so on any mountain?
As for the cabin, I totally love the design. And to build it together with your friends! You guys are not just building a cabin, you're also building lots of memories while being productive and having quality time. ❤
We have public land here that’s for public use. But you can’t go milling trees and building a cabin on it. You’d need private property for that and we own this property.
I wonder what it's like to have so many friends IRL. I have like... 4 people I know who I see with any consistency. Honestly the weirdest part of the whole thing. Cabin looks great.

Found your video at random. Love the cabin and the location is awesome. Odd question for you, when everyone in the video is there, where does everyone sleep?
We were all camping
If you check out some of the other videos on RUclips, or photos on our website, you can see some of the camping setups. Keep in mind that well folks may be in hammocks or tents, we had a lot of other amenities to keep things comfortable.

Beautiful project! Is there any reason why you didn't use ground screws instead of concrete for the foundations? Can't help but think this could have saved a ton of labour, money and ecological impact.
Just a lack of familiarity. I've since come to appreciate ground screws and would look to use them.

where’s the bathroom? where’s the fresh water coming from? where’s the grey water going? where does the electricity come from?
Outhouse. Local water company. Solar. You can see some more stuff on elevatedspaces.ca
what was the approximate cost though?
about 40k total. For the building, plus furnishing, solar, etc.

We spent about $35k USD
