    It's beyond wonderful to see Jan (your Mum) again .... it's been yonks!
    I never put 2 and 2 together when using my mineral sunscreens and my drier than usual skin. Now I know it's the mineral content. Well, I'll be blowed 🥴
    At the moment I'm using the Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence 50 spf. I like this as it's water based, so it absorbs fairly quickly.
    I would like to try the Ultra Violet ones tho, (hope that's correct) I've never heard of this brand before.
    Thank you to you both for taking lots and lots of time to test all of these.
    I really appreciate your sacrifices. 💗🌸💗🌸💗
    Hi Jan, did I say how fantastic it is to see you 😉. Awww, watching you put your arm around Gemma made my eyes very watery.
    I do wonder how many people are hugging for the first time in over a year. I can only imagine the emotions atm. I can't wait to meet up with my family, whom haven't seen for 17 months!!!!

      @@carolinerodriguez9423 I was heavily considering getting the laser, like you had tried a good few products. I have found a few that work for me I cleanse my face with Cetraben Daily cleansing cream, then use the La Roche Posay Rosalaic serum and Rosalaic moisturiser in morning and evening and then use The Ordinary 1% Retinol with Squaline. I started of on the .25 % Retinol with Squaline just until my skin got used to Retinol but my skin loves it, I use it every second night. My skin has improved alot and the broken capillaries haven't been eliminated but have faded massively and now can be easily covered with a light/medium foundation (I use No.7 Hydroluminous, a Gemma aka Pamperedwolf recommended one) and Charlotte Tilbury Magic vanish on the still more viseable capillaries. I use fair for reference and the shad Calico in the foundation.

    Hi, welcome back Jan, loverly to see you again . I use the La Roche Posse on your recommendation but having watched this I may try that Garner one out as my skin is slowly getting drier and never thought it was my sunscreen, but on my drier areas its getting almost painfully dry and have been cutting my skincare down to find the culprit. So I'll swap out my sunscreen, when I've bought another one, even though I've just bought 2 backups as I knew I'd use them as I put sunscreen on every day its the last thing in my skincare regime everyday due to sun damage. I will still use my La Roche one just not every day. Thankyou for trying all these out for us, it must of been dard going on the ones you didn't like and hopefully all your wolfpack are using sunscreen everyday by now. As always stay safe xx 😘❤

    Hi as someone with very dry, rosacea and eczema prone skin spf is a bit of a minefield tbh. Mineral spf's are often really drying on my skin and a lot of the chemical spf's sting/burn. High alcohol content is also a no no as it also stings A LOT.
    I 've tried a few of the hyped ones including:
    Altruist spf50+ face fluid - gave me a bad rosacea flare although I can use it on hands/body
    Canmake spf - dried my face out, but I can use it on neck/chest
    Ultrasun psf50+ - can't use on face, but love it on body/hands. Ican make it work on neck/chest too.
    Paula's choice calm mineral spf30 normal/dry - works well on my face, but can be little drying
    Skinceuticals spf50 mineral fluid (tinted and untinted) - works well on face, but can be a little drying (looks great alone or under makeup as it has a blurring effect)
    I can't use the garnier or LRP on my face, but can on the body
    My current go to's are the PC and the skinceuticals, although I need to use a good moisturiser under both or my skin would be very dry. Some of the newer generation chemical filters don't cause stinging/burning, but the alcohol and older filters (especially the benzone ones) are a nightmare on my skin. I hope that helps others with super sensitive skin avoid some costly mistakes, or find something to try at least. Best wishes.
    ps all these were patch tested behind the ear without any issue and still caused a few real issues on the face.

      I have dry sensitive skin with rosacea and I completely understand the struggle to find an SPF that will not be drying or irritate the skin. I have already gone through about 5 of them and I’m still looking. I was going to try the Canmake next but since you made your comment, I’m not so sure but everyone’s skin can react differently. @@crissyanderson6495 We are indeed all different and it's not too expensive to try. I can use it on neck, chest and ears, but the centre of the face (rosacea areas) doesn't like it. First of all - thank you for your reviews on SPF products.
    But, secondly, and probably most important of all: it is SO FREAKING GOOD to see you and your Mum together again without being concerned of any health concerns.
    It is something that a LOT of people in the UK, Europe and around the world are in almost desperate need of: physical contact with family and friends.
    This video gives me those positive vibes that we're almost there and that it'll be a couple of weeks more at most (in western EU) before we can all safely hug our loved ones.

    Wonderful to see you both and and you produced such an informative video. I live in Tucson Arizona, nothing but heat and desert.I’m obsessed with sunscreens. I have a uv airy big button up shirt I wear over my clothes when I’m outside and I wear sun protection hand and arm gloves when driving. I learned a lot and I thank you so much! Cheers ladies♥️

    Paula's Choice sunscreens usually work on my skin, but the Skin Restoring stung on my skin, whereas the Skin Recovery, Non-greasy and Super Light Wrinkle Defense sunscreens don't sting and work very well for me. My skin is a little sensitive because of tretinoin.

    • @louisem2097
      @louisem2097 3 года назад

      I agree. The Super Light Wrinkle Defense sunscreen is my holy grail but the SPF50s from Paula’s Choice caused sensitivity, I guess because they include some chemical sunscreen

    • @susanmcf1
      @susanmcf1 3 года назад +1

      The Non-greasy spf 50 is chemical, but doesn’t bother my face at all, whereas their other chemical sunscreens do irritate it. I’ve compared the ingredients but can’t figure out why.

    Lovely to see you both together again! I’ve received a free sample of the Coola classic face sport 50 SPF and was wondering if you’ve tried it. Not sure if you have time to reply to comments as this is my first time to say, “hello!” One day inexperienced a bit of pilling but not sure why or if it was the SPF. I have combo dry skin as well. Take care & thanks for sharing such helpful, positive content!

    I know how good niacinamide is for skin, but am I the only one who is bothered by the cigarette-ashy smell to it? I don't typically smell it in the container, not until it until it is applied.

      Never noticed a smell to it but recently had to stop using it because of my rosacea. It really irritates and causes inflammation in my skin. I’m finding the older I get the less I use my skin does better. I’ve also stopped using vit. C and tretinoin and my skin has never looked better.

    Thanks for trying the Avene, I was curious about that one but won’t waste my money! As an oily skinned gal I’d warn my fellow oily skinned peeps away from the Supergoop sunscreen as I found that my makeup slid off my face. On its own though it’s lovely! For oily skinned mineral fans my recommendations are the Paula’s Choice and Australian Gold. I def want to try the mineral ultra violet now though 🙏

    The Ultra Violette Screen queen sunscreen is the only one I can wear every day. All others leave a film on my skin that flakes off during the day taking with it my makeup and leaving my skin feeling tight. I use either the serum or hydrating version.

    I love the Ultra Sun! Only been using for the past two months, I have Vitiligo and no burn with this! Only downsides is the body version is a bit greasier, it’s pricey and the serum stings. The cream tube hydrating one is better. Love Ultra Violett!
