Hello dear Karen, I think this is the most unbiased review about this Ultra Violette brand on tbe whole internet! Lab Muffin praised them a lot and since then there is a lot of hype about this brand. From everything you said and showed there is nothing "wow" about them, cute names, very good presentations but especially considering the price rather mediocre. Thanks a lot for helping me not waste some money...

So i am biased because i am an Aussie and its an Aussie brand. I have tried them all and the only one i truly like is Supreme Screen for my mature skin. We have some of the strictest standards in the world for sunscreen so i trust it for every day use. I haven't had a reaction to anything in it but i did with queen screen plus the rose scent is so not for me lol. I love that its got kakadu plum in it which is native australian vitamin C. I was excited to see what you thought of them because most of the sunscreens i see reviewed aren't approved for use here so thankyou :-)

I have purchased (and repurchased) several Ultraviolette products, and looking back I realise I was caught up in marketing hype. Yes the products are fine, but they definitely do not reinvent the wheel like they say. Very expensive and, honestly, don’t do anything better than my go-to LRP Anthelios Fluid.

Such a great video thank you so much. I've just bought naked sundays mineral and love it. Might try lean screen but I'm not rushing now! I'll wait for a sale.

Really liked the video, hated their explanations. Might be a personal preference haha. Again and again I notice how little I know about sunscreen ingredients. If you're looking for video ideas, maybe Ingredient Spotlights might be really interesting to build on the one on Tinosorb you already have!

I can't wait till one day I can get back to doing lots of ingredient spotlights :0) (Currently tricky from the research point of view with migraines but I'll get there!). x

Hi Karen I looked at these after seeing a fair bit of hype about them, but wasn't all that excited with the ingredients when I really looked into them. They're also quite expensive here in the UK and if I'm going to spend £30 plus then truthfully I would buy my favourite skinceuticals one or paula's choice calm. Both of these work really really well on my hypersensitive, rosacea and eczema prone skin and despite being mineral spf's don't make me feel dry and tight (which is an issue I often run into with mineral spfs). I have absolutely nothing against the modern chemical filters and when my skin isn't irritated am happy to use ultrasun through the warmer months. Unfortunately when the rosacea is active it has to be mineral spf I use. Anything with fragrance is a no no and tinted spf's really don't work for me, as I'm the palest of the pale (the only one I have found that does is the ivory shade from ultrasun). I'm currently using the Avene mineral spf50 and it is my budget pick as I can usually find it around £15 for 40mls and my skin seems fine with it. I have tried so many of the hyped spf's on youtube, with so many abject failures that had to be given away - so much irritation on patch testing that they caused welts and other rashes. All the baby spf's available in stores are also a no way for my face including Avene, LRP, Garnier, childs farm etc, but do work ok on the body for me. Spf for rosacea and very dry skin is a minefield and so difficult to find anything at all that works. Tinted spf's like the bondi sands mineral, rosalique, and so many others look straight up orange on me - I look like I've been tangoed by the orange man on the advert from years ago. Best wishes.

Hi Karen, I tried the mineral one from this range when it first launched here. I have dry skin and extremely sensitive eyes so chemical spf is a no no for me. I felt it was matte but never dried down so my foundation would be sliding around and transfer onto everything! Great review of the brand thank you. I think it’s going to take a lot for me to ever stop using the naked Sundays one! 💕

Thank goodness indeed you wrote note! My word! I think this line as a whole is a pass for me. I'm still in love with Nivea Sun Protect Super Water Gel SPF50 (or 35) / PA +++
I get it from Amazon. It's a Japanese formulation and is divine. You don't even know you put anything on after it dries down. Thank you for your hard work 💜

Aww thanks so much! I bet that Nivea one is lovely. Its an octinoxate one so definitely not for me sadly. x

Interesting information. I don't like fragrance in my sunscreen however I do the scent of "sun tan lotion"! For my face I skip fragrance.

    Interesting video thanks Karen.
like the Supreme screen but I don’t think it’s worth the money so I’m not repurchasing. I’m sticking with La Roche Posay Anthelios which is less than half the price. I’m a pale freckly redhead and need to use spf all the time so it has to be affordable and it really works well for me.

You are so right about the names being confusing! I got a sample pack of this and also didn't rate the queen screen similar to you but also made my face feel like it had a film on it. Supreme screen I am a big fan of but now coming to the time to buy the full size I'm not sure if I will shell out for it tbh ($49 for the full size in Australia) might have to wait for a good sale, it's winter here so I can wait :P

Very useful to know thank you. I’ve not seen anyone review the whole range. It’s an expensive mistake to make going in blind! X

Have you tried the Beauty Pie Super Healthy Skin SPF 50 primer. Really love it. And it’s only £12.50 ish for 50mls.
