Man... I missed this simplicity of the older riders. Simple helmet, suit/jacket & belt and good 'ol hand to hand combat. Definitely watching this on theatre if this release worldwide

@@doomsday519 they had a limited run in Indonesia in October 2022. When I went to see it like more than half the audience looked like well above their thirties (including me). Nostalgia run high I guess.

I love that they went with the classic look for the character, especially using real acrobatics and trick photography for the jumping instead of an animation or obvious wirework. So much of what we just saw was real, and captured in camera. New American movies are rarely shot on location anymore, just having real settings makes a huge difference. No cgi costumes like the Marvel movies. Amazing camera work. Using different lenses to keep the viewer engaged. And a natural looking color pallette without too much postprocessing. This looks great.

Because of budget constraints.
You say that like there is another way to shoot marvel films without CGI. It would be impossible and unbelievable if they only used camera angles and truck photography to tell the avengers story. It's no way you could use trick photography for the hulk or Thanos.
Damn, Shin-verse has been killing it! A *renaissance* for the kaiju genre for sure.
Kaiju is just one thing that comes from Tokusatsu, the live action Shin films are all Tokusatsu properties like that of Super Sentai/Power Rangers.
It's called the Shin Japan Heroes Universe. Or the SJHU for short.

@@alexanderavila4662 can we all acknowledge the weirdness of power rangers as a localized name? Like super is pretty easy, and sentai can roughly translate to squadron, but the fact that they chose the bizarre name of "power rangers" for the west is mind boggling.

Was lucky enough to see it in theaters last night during the one night only release in the States. I freaking loved it. Not a perfect movie, but it was pretty great and gave me everything I wanted and more. It's been my dream to see a Kamen Rider movie in the theater since I got into the series as a teenager, and I'm beyond ecstatic that that dream became a reality. I only wish Toei would give us more showings over here but hey, here's hoping Shout Factory puts it out on Blu Ray. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
There will be another screening on June 5th, check your local theaters before it's too late to buy tickets.
My thoughts exactly! Not perfect, but a welcome reboot/remake of the show that started it all. Even though it's unlikely, it deserves a sequel.

Man Hideaki Anno is a true tokusatsu fan. The Shin Japan Heroes universe of films have all been spectacular.

Yeah, that has always been the case, at least in.the first ten episodes of the original series, before being able to transform with just his belt, Hongo had to use the Bike to go at high speeds to trigger the typhoon, and he always pushed a switch that transformed his bike into the Cyclone, i glad they are keeping this aspect
@@DarkAnon100 They stopped the bike transforming scene after Fujioka got injured because of a bike stunt, they replaced it with classic hand movements when Nigo replaced Ichigo for a while. They also started hiring suit actors after that.
This looks so cool, and the suit look really good.
That cyclone transformation, the complete reveal of Rider 2 Ichimonji Hayato, ans that badass Rider Kick, looks epic, cant wait for the movie and it looks way more polished than the previous trailer.
Even with the Simple Effects it Feels so Good and Nostalgic

I hope there will be a sequel where they introduce Shin V3 and Shin Riderman. V3's design in Kamen Rider: The Next movie was pretty badass.
The NEXT's V3 is probably the awesomest glow up in all of Tokusatsu lmao

Oh yes!!!! I am a huge KR fan and have been for about 20+ years now, and if the other two Shin movies are any indication, this will be amazing. If and when it gets an American theatrical run, I am THERE.

Hideaki Anno has been killing it with the ‘Shin’ movies these past years. Really excited for this one because you can tell it’s a modernized take on the original Kamen Rider.
None of that Neo-Heisei/Reiwa gimmick crap.
Am I the only one who finds the first half of the trailer, before it gets all crazy really emotional? I feel like the music really makes you feel something, along with some of the shots. We see a few with Takeshi alone, or when his hand is rotting and it gives the impression that he is alone and is struggling with himself. I hope this movie does hit some deep emotional moments throughout because I feel like that’s a part that’s neglected in regards to his character since he struggles with his identity at the start of the series.

Shin Godzilla recién ahora tiene doblaje latino, Shin Ultraman apenas estuvo 2 dias en Estados Unidos y 1 dia en Chile. Sabiendo que Toei es una basura con el público fuera de Japón es muy dificil que llegue a este lado

y yo pensaba que éste trailer es de una nueva serie nipona
además no tenía idea que Ultraman y Godzilla se exhibieron en los cines..
ni modo si no éste no llega América entonces atravez de las plataformas de streamings lo consigan como Crunchyroll, Tioanime entre otros..

There’s a problem. SJH is based on things Anno liked. And correct me if I’m wrong but the one he really liked was Jetman.
@@jaderabbit898 He likes Sailor Moon (which is heavily Sentai inspired), and that had a live action version.
I'd be amused to see his take on that.
