Hi brother, Please focus on Core subjects in ECE. Subjects like Digital, Analog electronics, MPMC, VLSI are not separate from VLSI courses. Anyway for freshers, core companies will check basics first.

Hi, I will suggest VLSI. If you have M.Tech opportunity in IITs and NITs, go for M.Tech. Otherwise, if you are a fresh graduate, look for direct internship. Training will also give some better view on VLSI and skills.

In both fields different roles are there like Embedded hardware developer, Software developer.. Etc like that in VLSI too Spec to GDS, packaging diff roles are there. Both will be the same until you put your full interest.
