while this is technically true, a perfect lob is so difficult to get and as someone who cant throw even a semi decent self lob its much easier yo just get those extra inches to dunk off the dribble
This reason is actually why dunkers can do fancier and fancier dunks because as they fall down off their apex all the need is to have their hand 4 inches above the rim
@@ArmantoR.8 this is just for people that are trying to get their first “dunk”. Whether you like it or not it’s still a dunk lmao. Ever heard of a rim grazer?
Watch some rim grazers in slo mo: It’s still pushing the ball down into the rim, with only fingers above the rim. Not tipping the ball, pushing it in. which is what a dunk is
wow, no one cares about the technicalities of a rim grazer dude, they want to do more than that not rely on finesse alone...but u would never in a million years even begin to understand this
Speak for yourself. This is how almost every first dunk at dunk camp happens. Also how I got my first dunk. And how a lot of people get their first dunks.
@@michael-vy4rv There’s a lot of points in between jumping too low to dunk and jumping high enough to dunk easily. At some point in their training, everyone needs a perfect lob to dunk, progress is continuous.
Yay! 4 inches IS enough!
😂😂
That's what he said

Thanks bro I feel more confident now
that last dunk was INSANE!

I never did self-lobs. So difficult and it only disappoints you when you've committed to the jump. I just tried off the dribble.
Yeah I always found it easier to dunk off the dribble then to self lob
It'd be great to find a jumping guy like him but for volley (beach or indoor)

My hand is 7.3 inches from the start of the wrist to the tip of my middle finger. And im about 5'8.15
If bro worked on his speed and his one foot dude would be scary in games
At the very least I have to get my wrist 1 inch over the rim.

I can get up that high but i suck ass making it in 😂
So you’re saying it’s 8in?
Like what should you be able to touch when you test your vertical to do a two hand dunk
a couple inches higher
How high do you gotta get off the dribble
I've dunked with 5 over the rim off dribble and I cant palm the ball
What about a two hand dunk
He already made a video about rim grazing 2 hands dunk a while back.
Two hand rim grab + a perfect lob
I touch 10’6 and can’t dunk
That's a dunk? Wow
Imagine going to 'dunk-camp'
I don’t agree , I count a dunk when the whole hand 7-8 inches is above the rim
hes still right tho
@@kehmer if u tip the ball and just grab the rim u think that’s a dunk ? If it’s that way I have dunked when I was 17
@@ArmantoR.8 not tipping it in and grabbing rim lmao. Pushing it down over the rim it’s a dunk. Doesn’t mean you can say you can dunk but it is a dunk

nope
Lob dunks don’t count as a real dunk
