For anyone in doubt about the dispatch course. I am about almost half way through the course and I want to say that this course is very detailed, informative, very well organized and easy to navigate. The course so far is very good for people that are newbies to the industry. Very worth it!
Did someone ever tell you that you have a teaching gift? You just make things so easy to understand. Thank you for sharing your gift to all of us out there.
I have watched approximately (15) of your videos and have pages of notes. This lesson is timely, for me! I am looking to get into the Cargo Van/Box Truck part of trucking. I paid for my LLC with the state of NV, got my EIN through the IRS and have applied to get DOT#. I have been looking at trucks to purchase, insurance and a business bank account with my credit union. The truck purchase is on-hold. Thank you for the advise in this lesson. It confirms the voice in my head saying go to a CDL school. I sent an email to a certified school this morning. I am studying the DMV CDL handbook to prepare for the written test. I'll get my MEC this week. After completing the CDL driving school, I'll look into driving for a company and allow my DOT/MC to age. Miranda, you have been an ally and a mentor. Thank you. I will be taking your Dispatching Course after I've checked off these other items.
I just dont understand why someone would want to be an 0/0 in today's market. I'm a company driver and I love it. Im treated right, have no headaches, and a brand new truck. Work 25 days a month. No stress! There is no shame in it. Having an awesome team behind you really makes a difference.
I 100% agree on the opening statement. I got my CDL in January and started driving for someone in June and plan on staying for atleast a year for insurance purposes so when I get my own truck I won’t have too much issues getting insured. I’m also trying to wait until trucks drop in price a bit before I decide to go Owner Op.👍🏾 It took me a while to find a small local company to work for so that I don’t feel like just a plain old driver like most of these big companies treat you. I would recommend always finding small local companies in your area because they will appreciate you a tad bit more as an employee! Anyway, That’s my 2 cents on the topic😁
My husband is working OTR for a mid-sized refer company. I’m working on our bus plan. We have our LLC in place and saving cash in a business account. We’re still considering if we’re going to lease-on first or get our mc/dot and get after it. Either way we’re taking our time and learning.
So true. Had my CDL since July. Driving for a major company “W”er. And I’m learning maneuvers a school can’t teach. Also you learn simple truck repairs you can make out on the road. On top of learning ELD, how scales and weight work. I was lucky ended up with a awesome trainer that teaches all the ins and outs. Maranda ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been following her a few months before I got my CDL she has all the info
Great video, thanks! Got my CDL last month along with every endorsement. Should I get my DOT now and let it age while I drive for a large carrier for a few months? I'd like to be running as a carrier by the summer ☀️
Large carriers can be shady. Small carriers can be shady. 6 in one hand, half a dozen in the other. You have to know what is right for you, but you have to be in the driver's seat for awhile to figure out who's "shadiness" (is that a word?) you can tolerate. I hope to learn a lot from the course so I can be prepared for the next market upswing...

Thanks for your awesome videos, very simple way of explaining lots of information. Can you please make a video about why California CDL drivers are not independent contractors anymore? I’m trying to get my CDL nowadays and I live in California but I don’t understand what’s the change that everybody talked about in California. Thank you
First of all you're hot as F. Let's just get that out of the way. I love your content your knowledge about Trucking is amazing keep spreading the word girl
Will the course help carriers who are trying to hire drivers? I’m getting my CDL but I already have my MC and DOT. My goal is to buy trucks and hire drivers once I get some experience driving in the market. Just trying to understand how to run a carrier operation with drivers and what’s involved with that. You seem like you can simply answer my concerns so thank you in advance.
What is a good way to age a DOT/MC? Would you have to have insurance on the authority in order to age it? I would appreciate an answer thank you in advance!
I have also included you in my top videos for educational in trucking. I'm lining everything up now to hit the ground by Jan 1 23. I would really like to get your monthly cost spreadsheet. Would it be possible to get it emailed to me?
Hi I am from Pakistan and I want to make my own dispatching company what documents are required to do that also I have an LLC and EIN number. Thank you
😂😂 the people who are just getting their CDL and want to be owner operators in 6 months. Better learn how to drive the truck, and learn what the work is all about. You might hate it
I actually have not seen any carrier training programs (honestly, I never even searched for them) but I am in the process of making a course on how to start and manage a trucking business
@@TruckingMadeSuccessful I see, and that makes sense. There is a fairly sizable population of future drivers going through CDL programs at Roehl, Schneider, Prime, Swift, etc. who can't afford CDL school and don't obtain their own truck directly (due to credit issues etc.), yet they form LLCs and establish their own trucking businesses through lease programs with the carrier that provided the training when upgrading to solo status. And including recommendations here within your course may be a good move - not only is there a large addressable market (that's often uneducated) for you to tap, but it will also do good in the world by enlightening some folks and protecting them against potentially predatory carriers (and, sadly, their own egos).
Great question- at this time there is no automatic certificate of completion, however I am happy to make one for you once you complete the course. Simply email me at talkabouttrucking@gmail.com with your full name and completion date and I will gladly issue you a Certificate of Completion :)
There's a driver shortage.. There's a truck shortage.. There's a parts shortage.. There's a freight shortage.. Waste water management sounds like less of a sh1tshow.
Well, i know you hate me saying this. But you O/O need to find you a very very good dispatcher. You don't want to be driving a truck and go through what she shared in her last video. Many good dispatchers out there that will only charge 3-5% now. And a good one is worth his/her weight in gold right now. Being a driver and your on dispatcher is like being your on lawyer, you have a fool for a client. Let them find it, book it, get all the pager work done and factoring, and you just spend your time driving. I would do it for you people, but I am BOOKED UP!!! And i only charge 4% and I know you can find someone in this market to do it for that. Maybe even 3% Prices have gone to hell, but they will come back after the election. Just the way it works. Just watch your taxes, uncle Joe and his bag of Monkey are hiring 8 thousand new IRS agents. They will, no matter what he says, will be coming after self employed businesses, and number one on that list is truckers.
You are not your own boss. You are hired and fired by carrier. You must follow carrier rules. You can choose how much you work yes , sometimes go where you want, till the carrier won’t give anymore loads till you go where they want you to. You are new to this industry. You don’t know the real deal. California did right law they just pasted.
I'm planning for 2023. Your channel is among my top five.
Me too.👊🏻👊🏻
Which other channels do you recommend?

You’re the best! I will be ordering your dispatch course! Tonight! I need all the help possible! Thank you so much for all the inspiration!

Oh my goodness…. You have a hubby! You just crushed soooo many heart’s.
Ps, great video!
Start as a dock worker at an LTL company and have them help you get a CDL. Home every night and weekends.

No, this course is only about dispatching and some compliance. :)
💯✌️
💪🏻
🤓🤓🤓❤
If there are so few loads available on the market why is truck stop parking so hard to find after 4pm? Asking for a friend.
Because trucks are parked instead of moving loads :)
What is a good way to age a DOT/MC? Would you have to have insurance on the authority in order to age it? I would appreciate an answer thank you in advance!
From my research you must have insurance for mc/dot to be active and to age it
I have also included you in my top videos for educational in trucking. I'm lining everything up now to hit the ground by Jan 1 23. I would really like to get your monthly cost spreadsheet. Would it be possible to get it emailed to me?

I actually have not seen any carrier training programs (honestly, I never even searched for them) but I am in the process of making a course on how to start and manage a trucking business

Do you need a CDL to get your own authority?
Not necessarily. You need a CDL only to be able to drive.

I know there are many people from different countries who dispatch :)

How many trucks are you dispatching?
How to get in contact with you?
Way too many crooks in the trucking industry as companies, and load brokers are the scum of the earth at least 99% of them.
