One thing i would highly recommend new authorities do is book a CR England load so you can get in their system. They will put you on their discount program for maintenance and tires at Loves. Even if you break even on the load it's worth it to be in the program for life. Some other megas might do the same im nor sure. Also most brokers putting loads on the load board is last resort for them. They really want to work with you like you said in the beginning of the video. And they will pay more to know you will do a good job. Great video..and if a broker is late tell them you will file against their bond 🤣 that will get them paying
@@ICYPROFITS This would be a great video tutorial...how to execute on a broker's bond. I know that no one wants to make enemies of brokers, but the enemies of honest brokers are the bad brokers. Knowing how to put a claim on a bond would be good 411 to have.

a company driver with a good pay rate makes almost the same or slightly less than the owner operator. The amount of work and responsibilities which come with Owner Operatorship are just not worth the extra 10k-15k/year you make as OO.

Glad I found your channel. Your content is great and the delivery is very fun and professional. I’ve been trucking for 3 years now and I’m currently running for a company out of the port. I’ve done regional loads out of the port Dallas, Austin, San Antonio etc and back nightly. As of now I’m doing yard runs. I’d like to venture out and get my own truck while leasing onto one of the many companies available out here. Also I have financing ready for a truck. Monthly payment will be roughly 1300 when my monthly expenses are relatively low as a single dude. How do you feel about the Texas market? Is it a good time?
@@TruckingMadeSuccessful I really appreciate the input. Thank you. Over the last few days I’ve decided to put more money back instead of going all in as an owner op. With that being said these ports out here are still crazy.
Miranda I would like to ask you the worst scenario for 2023? what do you think might be in 2023 the worst case? Let say tomorrow morning you have enough cash and all experience as you have so far,,,, do you think are you going to jump in trucking with 1 truck and trailer? or would you rather wait to see new year or so? If your answer is wait and see then how long you think something will appear to solid sign that it is good to start,,, Please forgive my ignorance I am just asking to get some brainstorming and new ideas from you and other fellows who are your videos subscriber ,,, Thnx and have a good weekend everyone
What about depreciation on the truck? Do you not factor that in? e.g. A brand new truck will depreciate a lot for the first miles. Thinking about buying a brand new Ram 5500 for around 100K, will pay it cash. But I would need to factor on the depreciation on it per mile.
So if my best buddy is a broker and he can guarantee me $2.20/ mile loaded or empty power only, and do about 2000 miles per week i should go for it? Seems like it might be a good time to buy a (lightly?) used truck and jump in if i don’t have to fight for freight.
you can take the load but the factoring company you use will not factor the bills you would have to bill it yourself or if they offer some kind of quick pay for a percentage you could use that. But just be careful and investigate their credit the factoring company usually has a reason why they don't except their credit rating.
Also be aware net pay is normally 30-45 days from the time they receive the BOL/POD so could be 45-60 days waiting to get paid unless they offer a quick pay.
