My understanding is that the ACLU were complicit in defaming JD. They took an active part writing and editing that Op Ed piece - with lawyers involved. JD could have also sued both the ACLU and Washington Compost as well as AH for defamation but was probably advised against doing this by his legal team as in Virginia he needed to get a unanimous jury verdict to win the defamation case, and this would have been more difficult to achieve if he was also suing both the ACLU and Washington Compost as he may not have had all the hard evidence to hand / required to be able to convince all members of the jury that these other parties had also tried to defame him intentionally and that it involved either malice or reckless disregard for the truth. He was probably advised that he stood a far greater chance of winning the defamation case if he sued just AH rather than all 3 parties.

The original copy of the op-ed that she sent in to the publisher had his name in it, it was the publisher that edited his name out. She also admitted in court that she wrote it about him. She got the restraining order so that JD couldn't boot her and her friends out of the penthouses and to try and improve her reputation because people were already pointing out that she was a liar way back then. There is a phone call between her and johnny where she says as much and tells him that her lawyer made her do it (probably also a lie) even though he had told her that she could stay in the penthouse until she got herself sorted out. She turned the TRO into a publicly stunt by informing TMZ she would be there and she turned up with a fresh looking bruise that had not been seen on her the day before (or after) and had last seen JD six days previously. JD was on a European tour for a few months at that time so she certainly didn't need to get it for her own safety.

They talk about the love they did or thought they had for each other in the beginning. They talked about when that love stopped. That love stopped before the end. Many times, for those who couldn't or didn't leave for longer than others did, they talked about the love ending long before the end.

2:48 Also, in her claim of being an {Imperfect} victim,
    She forgets to mention that JD had moved on, had no interest, Until she wrote the op-ed {The last straw for JD apparently}
My take on that audio of JD “threatening” global annihilation, isn’t that he was threatening, he was predicting.
She has chosen to speak publicly.
She Chose to write the Op-Ed,
JD was defending himself, not attacking her with lawsuits, she struck first, so to speak.
It’s hard to think of her as a victim for the simple reason that, had she moved on, she wouldn’t have been sued.
From the outside looking in, the victim finally stood up and said Enough. And he’s not willing to take it anymore.
6:35 AH says she has teams of lawyers review the op-ed before publication.
So that’s at least twice she has picked lousy representation.
12:00 Cioncidentally, TMZ “caught” AH and sister “shopping” at target.

Third, there are 4 other entrances to that courthouse. TMZ new exactly what entrance and what time to be there to photograph Ms. Heard and what side of her face to look at. Amber also made statements about the paparazzi shouting threats at her. Didn’t happen, it was on film. They only expressed concern. Same with her saying there were ‘burn the witch’, ‘death to Amber’ signs outside of Fairfax. Witnesses said there were no such signs. I'm glad she's _"allowed to talk on national television"._ Everyone on social media saw the actual trial, and 'gets' the verdict. However, AFAICT, people who only consumed the Main Stream Media (MSM) TV channels, got a filtered version, with a distorted 'narrative'. So I'm hoping those people will see this and 'get it'. This is _'Republishing'_ and so could be a whole new Defamation case, or enable JD to get an injunction against her. I'm intrigued that MSM is _'giving her enough rope to hang herself''_ Credit to Savannah Guthrie for calmly asking very good questions, and allowing AH to reprise her 'incredible' performance on the stand for a national audience. @@Balletified Again, I was *not* characterising motherhood. I was making an observation *SPECIFICALLY* about AH in the context of @Mike's comment. I'll repeat, there is a *lot of evidence* stretching back over decades that the placenta has very strong hormonal, and hence biological, effects on a mothers body. That is said to be so significant it is *evolutionarily important* to Human babies survival. That's what I was referring to in my comment. Ie. AH would not have those beneficial effects because she did not carry the baby.
Women and Men successfully adopt children and give them loving, caring, supportive homes. IMO, they _are indisputably 'maternal _*_enough'._* I have an adopted cousin, and friends have an adopted daughter. Their parents adore, care and support them.
So, for example, have you scientific evidence to debunk the theory that the effect of the placenta is very significant, and important, but instead demonstrate the effect of the placenta on a mother's body is inconsequential?
So, I'm sorry, but I don't understand how *you* leapt to the view that I'm commenting about motherhood. Please explain.
Let me ask you a question.
Do you have any view, preferably backed by evidence, that AH would have been unchanged, with respect to her daughter, by carrying her baby?
      Best Wishes. ☮

@Victor B AFAWK, the baby is AH's egg, fertilised by (AFAWK) traditional human male sperm. The fertilised egg was implanted in a surrogate mother who carried the baby to term. The baby is not a clone.
There are various 'conspiracy theories' about the sperm donor. I'm not going to comment.
      Best Wishes. ☮

The interviewer should disclose that the interviewee was provided the questions ahead of time as we see here. The fact that answers were edited should also be noted. The best interview would be one face to face, real time. We haven't seen any with Amber. Regarding being a mom full-time, I don't believe we have seen her with her daughter except in a picture. Oh well.

Why doesn't the accuser get punishment when proven wrong? There needs to be a change in the courts but there won't be because it brings business. You can ruin a man's life with accusations then loose in court on said accusations and just walk away Scott free. That's really messed up

Wait! Didn’t she say in court, 1) she would never called herself a victim; 2) ‘why should I afraid of him (Johnny). If she were violently abused by Johnny for years, she would be scared to instigate arguments and fights with aggressor. All she has said, not only inconsistent, she is contradicting herself. Besides, she had her chance to say in court. That’s not silencing her. And, she said she wrote the op-Ed because of him.

I’m so tired of that “I’m not a perfect victim” line. It’s right up there with “speaking truth to power,” “loaning my voice to DV victims,” “freedom of speech,” and Elaine’s fave, “Tale of two trials.” I wonder if these rehearsed lines came from the same source as the “he convinced people he had scissors for hands” gem. I’m so sick of those people. And AH would probably have won if she had just quietly admitted she shared some blame without the extravagant overacting and charge escalations, especially if JD had not paid millions in legal fees and endured an excruciating trial.

You're absolutely right. It's a terrifying truth to contemplate, but as she's a steadfast, unflinching liar, she would have gotten away with it had she underplayed things. Except of course for her need to tape herself and oftentimes forgetting about it apparently. Her narcissistic urges thankfully got in her way and led us to the truth about her regarding her diabolical allegations against Johnny Depp.

There is a very mild change in her face at 6:55. She is being told that “legions of powerful men being canceled, losing their jobs, did you want that to happen to Johnny?”
It’s easy to miss at first, but if you go back and look at Ambers face, it’s as though she has this gleeful look in her face, but she’s trying so hard to conceal it.
She is a sociopath. She wanted Johnny to take care of her and her friends for life, when he said no, she did whatever she could to “convince” him to do what she was trying to extort him into doing.
All that being said, the face that NBC is continuing to give this woman a voice is disgusting. Talking softly to her, and doing voiceovers making her out to be a victim.
They should have called her out for every single knowable lie she told on the stand. The media is sick

She just likes what she can get from them. She prefers women. She was with one before Johnny. She is with a woman now. She is a sociopath like you said and she is also a man hater.
