My fellow collector, beautiful coins and great unboxing!! You just won a subscriber!. After watching your video I am considering buying one for myself and doing an unboxing on my channel. Cool stuff!!
Regarding 4:57, the current 22 karat rose gold sovereign alloy composition is 91.67% gold + 8.33% copper. This is exactly the same 22 karat rose gold alloy used in South African Gold Krugerrands which explains why they have the same color as British Gold Sovereigns. On the other hand, American Gold Eagle Coins have a 22 karat gold alloy which has a more golden yellow color than 22 karat rose gold. This is because American Gold Eagle Coins include both silver and copper in its 22 karat gold alloy composition which is 91.67% gold + 5.33% copper + 3% silver. The inclusion of copper in a gold alloy gives it a pinkish hue. The inclusion of silver in a gold alloy gives it a chartreuse hue.
This design appears to be the big hit that we all thought the Memorial should have been. The design on the Memorial was very busy and perhaps difficult to discern on the smaller coins. I think the Mint should come up with a better way to make the booklet. After the normal grand presentation with the box, it’s a shame the booklet is only held together by a tacky staple. I’m biding my time for a top grade coin on the secondary market. Like yourself my choice of size will come down to affordability. Thanks very much for showing.
@@goodasgold7167 yeah it's a shame the memorial wasn't the same. Agree on the booklet after you spend that much money. Will also be keeping an eye out on the secondary market.
Very pretty - hopefully I’ll be able to get it in the secondary market for a more reasonable price - had fantastic luck keeping with the memorial and crowned and I’d love one of these
Looks stunning and thanks for sharing Waiting with anticipation for mine to come through with its PF70 grading Very tempted to get one of the 1/2 proofs as well as I know they’re pricey but I just don’t see them losing value
Regarding the pricey bit.... they're actually not that bad. I know it sounds a lot but the Coronation Sovs were the same ratio between the half and full Sovs as these. You're only paying around 22/23 pounds more for the half sov than half of a full sov (if that makes sense)...... Full sov price 795... halve that...397 and the half sov is 420 and anything fractional is always more expensive.
Sweet coin! What's the cost to send a coin for grading? I have a few gold coins but wouldn't bother with those... But last year I bought the last from London mint, Cook islands eclectic nature fighting fish 1oz silver coin. The colours are amazing. It's absolutely gob smacking. The PF70 ones on ebay are asking going on double the retail. The PF69 are just above retail. Cheers 👍 PS.... didn't mean to comment on this thread... Sorry. 🙄
Unfortunately I caved too and have reserved a shield and st George with my local sov expert rather than going directly through mint paying import taxes etc.
@the_islandstacker same. I'm super lucky I have long standing relationship with my local sovereign expert who allows payment plans over months depending on order total ...

It is a lovely coin if not expensive 😀

I cracked and got the 2025 and 1825 set, the old 22k sovs are even more golder than eagles.
What a beauty 😍
Great video bud, you can really appreciate the quality and see the design on the new coin.
@@theurbancoincollector thanks very much ❤️❤️

@2ime2shine when I say pricey I mean for the metal content Vs price you pay
Still waiting for my 4 coin set to arrive but the 2025 G&D for some reason is just stunning and I can't tell you why .maybe it's the low mintage
@@ianbird7444 the mintage is good but just the price for a standard design is too much
What made you prefer the half sov over the full one?
@@c.smiguel6674 price, I couldn't afford it
@@the_islandstacker will they stick to the limited mintage this time round? As I have been told sometimes they produce more of em
@c.smiguel6674 well for the single coin there is 1500 but in total there is 3035
Sweet coin!

@UK-Blue it depends what level of grading you go for. If it's grading and conservation it's about £35 per coin.
Unfortunately I caved too and have reserved a shield and st George with my local sov expert rather than going directly through mint paying import taxes etc.
