This is very motivating. I recently had a double bypass. I also had high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, fatty liver, and kidney problems. I changed my diet, and started going for daily walks. Now, I'm down from 291 to 258. My girlfriend is a big help. She can do magic in the kitchen that makes healthy meals delicious, and she's a big motivator during my walks.
Bro I would LOVE for you to share one tasty recipe of hers. Cuz as you’ve prob gone through, it’s ultra easy to fall back into unhealthy eating due to boredom
Such an inspiring story! Im on my own weight loss journey. Down to 295lbs from 420lbs over 4 years (pandemic slowed me down :/). I already feel like a new person. Im hoping to get down to 230 or so over the next year or two! Thank you for another awesome video!
I love these videos. My highest weight was 605lbs, I got down to 485lbs in 5 months on my own. Then I had gastric sleeve, and now I’m down to 325lbs, a year post op. I’m In the gym 4-6 days a week now.
@@APATHWAYHOME4001 I did keto to begin with I only ate 30 carbs max a day, so pretty much just meat, a few veggies, and eggs and cheese. I lost 50lbs in 3 weeks doing that, and then, I just did a calorie deficit.
I usually don't leave RUclips comments talking about myself but I feel compelled to right now. Today I'm 6'1 485 lbs. I'm fucking tired of this morbidly obese life and hearing that this gentlemen was once EXACTLY my current weight is GREAT motivation. I just setup my Samsung health app to start counting my steps - I'm going to start with just walking around the house/neighborhood as best as i currently can. I used to work at Fedex and was chilling at a good 250-300 lbs then but I felt great. As soon as i left that job (years ago) and got a cushy office job making way better money the weight just piled up. So I'm going to check in next year, the day after Memorial Day 2024 and give this update. I figure... 5 lbs a week.. 52 weeks that's 260lbs lost. I don't know what's possible but I guess we'll see. Keeping the plan simple too.. 1. cut back on food. 2. stop drinking my calories. 3. count my steps. 4. add weight training. 5. supplement. alright that's enough.
Love these videos. Especially because brix brings in people who had different approaches to their weight loss, not bias towards one particular approach while always doing a great job highlighting the similarities that made them successful
Congratulations to this brother!!!👊🏾 Brix, continue to spread black male self improvement, and health awareness! Your positivity is why I will continue to support you!
I loved that he described all his health risks as enemies rapped around his neck, that he had to overcome!! Gives me motivation to get a handle of my health!
Salute to you, Brix, for spreading this story and salute to you as well, Bam. Great to see that your kids were a part of your motivation for improving your health.
Great video and great inspiration. Congratulations to both of you brothers for conquering being over weight and never looking back. A few years ago I loss 100 pounds and somehow gained 40 lbs back slipping.smh. Currently I've got back to working out for a little over 3 months and I'm down around 18lbs. I'm always looking for a reason to stay consistent and patient and learning to just enjoy the process. Thanks again Brix.
What a total inspiration. That's an unbelievable amount of weight lost well done. I am just at the beginning of my own journey of weight loss. I am totally determined to do it as well. 💪
beautiful interview very inspirational. Salute to both of you guys for spreading positivity and motivation. like the great KG said "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!"
Hey everyone if anybody understands this question it would help. I have recently been making high volume low calorie foods and have like 100 grams of peas and 100 grams of carrot and 100 grams of broccoli it comes up like 170 calories and there is so much food it seems is that obviously normal to have so much volume for low calorie foods like that ?
Did he get the gastric sleeve to assist him with his weight loss? He said he had high blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure. A doctor isn’t gonna let you walk out that office without advocating for the surgery or food suppressant.
Actually it’s the opposite bro. Even to have weight loss surgery you have to lose weight before they will even approve it. He did it naturally which is dope b
@@Edward_Strong1982 How do you know he did it naturally? If he did that's great but we live in a different climate where it's not necessary to "lose weight" anymore. Doctors are passing out Ozempic and Metformin like candy.
DETACH YOURSELF FROM THE OUTCOME!! YES YES YES Its baseball season right now, Phillies lost the world series last year I know if they could snap a finger they would be right back in there for another chance but it don't work like that.. Today Is game like 30 of 162, can't win the world series tonight, but you can win a game. One small feat, and keep stacking wins thru the season and lookup..they will be real close
Hey, very interesting stuff here. But did you give Baker Henistole's stuff a chance? The routine that's recommended there can get you a chiseled, flat chest in weeks, as long as you do one simple thing every day. Go’ogle it, btw, it’s NOT 100-‘s of pushups per day, no worries lol
@49ers_red_and_gold2 you're a grown man on the internet judging another man. A man who's far stronger and more than determined than you'll ever be, yet you have a snide comment. Clearly, you have character issues and should seek God. Peace Fam
That's not always true. He said that when he did eat, he would overeat and make bad food choices. I'll never understand how you people can try to find fault in a story of human triumph. Seek God

Worst part is when you stick to your diet and workout and you GAIN WEIGHT 😒😒😒 nobody wanna hear “muscle weighs more” 😭😭😭
You’re improving body composition and raising your BMR. Yes the weight is going up but you’re inversely getting healthier, be rational.
Wow he looks like he never was fat no lose skin
Im glad I don't have saggy boobs or lose skin 😩
What was the point of this comment? Why not acknowledge the accomplishment. Smh. Seek God Fam

Well if he went hours and hours without eating then he was fasting and he should've lost it
That's not always true. He said that when he did eat, he would overeat and make bad food choices. I'll never understand how you people can try to find fault in a story of human triumph. Seek God
Unfortunately not. Intermittent fasting only works if you're in a calorie deficit.
