Wow. Honestly I have expected nothing less than the best from toontrack. They have now left the competition behind. No one offers this amout of realism.
@@vaiman7777 The sample content is irrelevant? Ezbass is a great product and it has undoubtedly set a great standard to vritual basses, especially for the Grid Editor ... but there is still a long way to go, I'm sure in future editions. But if we talk about realism there, things are quite even with products from Ample Sound and Prominy SR5, by the way ... with a huge amount of samples

@@davidviera3347 I do understand your point, I use Ample Sound and Prominy SR5. I think the small footprint of samples is Toontrack's aim though. Strange, as SD3 is a monster and completely the opposite lol. As you say, I'm sure they'll continue to develop and maybe they'll produce a 'Pro' version with higher content down the line? The groundwork is there now, they just need to flesh things out and it will be bass nirvana.
Next big thing would be a KI that learns the patterns from recordings of the famous musicians, spitts out the data and you can inject it into your ezbass plugin.
Sounds awesome! My fav instrument! Now would this need a basic EZ bass plugin to work as an add on expansion.Or just buying this fretless expansion would suffice?
It seems that we will not see for a long time, the great absence of EZbass , with each expansion it continues to be confirmed ... EZbass has made a difference in many aspects, without a doubt ... The grid editor and its flexibility is unprecedented. . However the realism is largely discarded, because they didn't "sample" all the frets of the strings, something that is undoubtedly essential for the instrument to sound real. It only remains to wait for an EZbass 2 or Superior Bass or maybe a major update, but this will make the actual expansions..expired,.. any options will take time, I think. Very sad Toontrack, your products are amazing, but this time, you were left incomplete to totally beat the competition... I hope you improve that, it's the only great detail that you missed
That’s not a bad idea for a video. You can record a very simple bass line and then edit in the different articulations to make it sound real without using any key switches during the recording.
Every bass player in the world uses a single place to anchor their thumb and plays the song from that position. No one says, ok now i am about to accent the one beat so i will move my thumb to the bridge pick-up for that one note, that would sound weird and just horrible. Why would you do that???????
Wonderful... Waiting for EZ Acoustic and Electric Guitars... Toontrack you're my go to VSt for all my music
Wow. Honestly I have expected nothing less than the best from toontrack. They have now left the competition behind. No one offers this amout of realism.
Nope...they didn't sample all the frets/strings this it's a MUST-HAVE feature for achieve realism...sadly :-(
@@davidviera3347 He said nobody else offers this realism... and he's correct. The sample content is irrelevant to the point being made.

I wish I lived in a world where all virtual instruments were made by Toontrack!
What's next? An upright would be great, I suppose :D
Wish granted. ;)
YES! This just put EZBass on my radar. I absolutely love fretless bass!
Lmao I literally predicted the future a year ago, Dingwall, MTG, fretless. Toontrack are you reading my mind?
OMG!!!!!! FRETLESS BASS!!! I LOVE YOU
This actually got me interested. Thanks for pushing the envelope guys.
been waiting for this!

Amazing!! EZ Electric Guitar next PLEASE!!
it's here !
Awesomeness
Man, I could have save a lot of money and time over buying a GWB35 and learning how to play it :-D
Any chance of an acoustic bass expansion pack coming soon?
Sounds awesome! My fav instrument! Now would this need a basic EZ bass plugin to work as an add on expansion.Or just buying this fretless expansion would suffice?
Thanks! Yeah, this is an expansion for EZbass, so you'd need the main EZbass plugin.
Can you do alternative tuning and 432HZ tuning?
You can change the "Cents" globally on the bass. You can also select a tuning preset (i.e. Piano, bass, or perfect). Check out the demo!
anyone tried to play it using your own bass through JAmOrigin audio to midi software?it works great!
It would have been smart to add palm muting and finger nail scraped note articulations to fully emulate Gary Willis'playing style
The nail scrape idea is cool! Palm muting is done with the damping control in editing play style.
The only thing this plugin lacks is being able to tune the 5th string lower than A.
Can I make it play flat / sharp notes like I would?
Yes, with pitch bend in the Grid Editor. Or with the pitch bend wheel on a MIDI controller.
I’m worried this won’t have good applications in metal. I enjoy the fretless bass sound from bands like Obscura but this sounds too “gentle” to me.
🥰
Ez Metal Guitar....pleeeese!!!!

It always sounds awesome but then i try it and it comes out trash cuz i dunno how to work with keyswitches .. rather play the bass myself lol 😂

It's not bass, it's DiGiorgio.

Fortunately it doesn't sound quite natural so we, fretless bassists, are still needed. I'm afraid it's gonna get better though. 😔
It's perfectly fine as a writing tool, not everyone has a fretless bass :D
No slaps and pops!? Disappointing
Man, you guys must be out of your minds to charge 75 euros every 2 month or so for a new sample library. What's wrong with you?
It's not like they're holding you at gunpoint to buy any of their products. Geez, your budget is not their responsibility, move on.
