You sure you didn't take a "wrong turn" and end up in WV. lol. We have a foot of snow here in WV. where I live. Never dreamed it snowed in Mississippi, you property is beautiful. The 2nd album was the Oak Ridge Boys, real good group! That old 53 Chevy would bring you back to Nebraska, they're like a rock. Nice old trunk, would've loved to have seen it full of tack quilts! Love your videos! God Bless all! (Glen). WV.
When we first got down to Mississippi, it was in the 60s and absolutely beautiful. The weather turned pretty quick! It's a rare occurrence to ever get any significant snow down there. They say an event like that only happens every 20 to 30 years down there. The weather in Nebraska has been very bad as well and has made it impossible for me to get out, explore, or film. I am definitely ready for spring! Glad you're enjoying the videos! And thanks for the support, Al.
Yeah, that is the 70’s Oakridge Boys! Elvira! They came through Rome, GA in October and we went to the concert. William Lee Golden is almost unrecognizable there without his ZZ beard. Then you have Jan and Dean on the other album cover. Two surfer dudes from the 60’s. I wonder if that tool box was empty Al? I admit I got a little excited when i saw that trunk! Ratz empty! As usual I love seeing beautiful Faith along giving us her interesting and “young” perspective! Very unique outro Al..two beauties doing daredevil stunts on the atv..loved it!..almost made me glad to see the end..almost 😉
The video of them on the four-wheeler, was taken right when we got down to Mississippi. It was beautiful weather and in the 60s. Then we had that snow storm that came through, it was absolutely bitter cold. We are back in Nebraska now and the dirt roads here are impassable for the most part. I'm looking forward to getting back out and making more videos as soon as possible! Glad you liked the video and hope to have more out real soon!
@@whatsaroundthebend Weather here is crazy! A week ago it was 7F and today it was 70F..we had 3-4 inches of rain this week..no snow in N GA..TN got plenty though.
I guess that's better than being snowed in! I am tired of the winter already. I just got back to Nebraska and most of the dirt roads are impassable. I need to invest in a good four-wheel drive.
I appreciate the compliment! Believe it or not, I really haven't made any money doing the videos. I've spent way more money in fuel than I've been paid from RUclips. I'm hoping it eventually takes off. I would love to make videos full time and use the money I get from RUclips to fund it. I know it's unlikely but you never know unless you try!
Your property is beautiful! I did not know it ever snowed in Mississippi. My youngest daughter keeps threatening to move there. Lol and I told her I will be there every winter to get away from the cold and snow. Hello Jeremy glad to see you again!! Hello to Faith too from Eastern S.Dakota. It's 24 degrees here and we haven't gotten much snow this year.
It typically doesn't snow there. We only get bad snow storms there every 20 to 30 years! My son asked why in the world were they not plowing the roads and I told him because they don't have plows. LOL I was looking at Eastern South Dakota this week to see what was up there to explore. It's going to be in the 60s in the Black hills next week! I'm definitely ready to get back out and explore. Glad you like the video and thanks for the comment.
I wonder if your daughter knows how hot and humid the summers are there. Also there are a lot of venomous snakes and insects that she wouldn't be used to! I would recommend her visit in August before she commits to the move!
Love living in Eastern S.Dakota. Lots of lakes. Big Stone Lake is huge and beautiful. Fairly new to the Midwest. But there is a Lil church near Stockholm that has an amazing story behind it. It's called the Brown Earth Chirch. If you Google the history of it, it adds so much to the experience. Small church but it was very interesting to me.
I just looked at it and noticed I was standing on the inside part of the door. Good eye! It definitely would make sense for the Bell to be on the inside of the house!
It was across the street from the house I filmed. We went over there and knocked on the door to ask about it but we couldn't get anyone. I did notice that the front was jacked up with a bumper Jack and had the tire off of it. Maybe somebody is working on it.
You have to look the properties up on county records and contact the property owners. Most of the time they are unwilling to sell anything. In almost every case that I have ran across here, the property is owned by a large farming corporation. They don't want to sell any of the property and they don't care about the houses so they just let them rot. The only other way is to watch for tax sales. If a property is truly abandoned and no one is paying the taxes, if you pay taxes on it 3 years in a row you can claim the property.
We've got no snow here in Christmas Island. All we got here are canopies and wide oceans. I only got 10 hectares of land here, and I used 20 percent for grazing and farming. How about yer mate, it seemed you've got quite a property and I see no farming structures. Aside from vlogging, I wonder what's yer trade for a living.
Sounds nice there! I could definitely use some sunshine and warm weather right now. When my dad got ill in 2018, I purchased the family home in Mississippi. Years ago they had 25 to 30 cows out there. We would lease the land to someone to raise cattle on and in turn they would give us one cow a year. It was definitely enough to fill the freezers! I myself did property maintenance for years. I pretty much did it all, I got my real estate license and started managing properties. I am no longer actively selling or managing real estate, but I do have a few rentals of my own. In addition to that, we flip houses. The market's been a little tougher though lately to find good fixer uppers!
The album with four men on the cover is The Oakridge Boys, the album cover with two men on it is The Everly Brothers.

My mother thought that's who it was. I'm glad to see you on here. Hope you have been doing well! Thanks for the comment!
I truly enjoyed watching.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll be glad when the roads clear up and I can get out and film some more!

Awesome! I had to look it up. Looks like you are pretty far south. Did you get any of the snow this last week?

I didn't even check that toolbox! I can get sidetracked pretty easy.

You have a new subscriber from Alma Arkansas.
We are glad to have you! Thank you for subscribing and thanks for the comment!
Here in Minden Louisiana, the weather is nice and warm, but, also, very rainy.

@@whatsaroundthebend From the quality content on your channel, I don’t think that should be too difficult.

The ringer is on the other side of door facing floor

THE OAK RIDGE BOYS on the album with the 4 fellas on it, but i'v never heard of them. Intersting to see 'London Bridge is falling down' in there.
I grew up listening to gospel music from The oak ridge boys. I just didn't recognize them on that record. Thanks for the comment!
Thank God no
save the 53 chevy!!

What is the process to being able to obtain an abandoned vehicle/property?
