You can see my Mom's house from the courthouse 😊. They first started the Christmas lighting in late 80s. The painted lady shop is supposedly haunted. There's a plaque on the steeple by Valentino's talking about the church it came from. Did you make it down to Chautauqua Park?

Adair is also not far from Dexter which is the site of the Bonnie and Clyde shootout in 1933.

Definitely should come back theres definitely some more to the town. Like at the beginning of the vind you show glimpse of the binzebo they just built that use to be a bowling alley the owner burned down for insurance money and right next to it use to be the police station and now there are no cops in town.

It is a very sad thing to see, a town that is dying! We have that here in WV. two counties that border our county, that are dying. They are starting to restore some of the buildings, since coal is up and going again. The old yellow car you saw was a 74 Nova and the other looked to be a Dodge Daytona, I don't know what model. At the beginning I noticed where it said, where do you want y'all to visit. I would love to invite y'all to come and stay with us in WV. or maybe y'all would enjoy staying at the, Hatfield and McCoy's Trails, in Gilbert 7 miles from us. They have cabins and 4 wheeler rentals, along with kayak rentals. 60 miles from us is, the New River Gorge Bridge, where they base jump from, into the New River. It is Historical Fayette County, Summers County, and Raleigh County. A lot to see and do. Plus Raleigh County's town of Beckley Exhibition Coal Mines. and old timey coal camp beside it. It is a real camp and old mine. Love to have you come visit us here in WV.

Too bad the National Homesteaders Park was closing so early!😔 GA being one of the original 13 colony/states was never a territory so the homestead act never applied. Although when gold was found in our northern hills our Governor started evicting the Cherokee and offering their land to white settlers in the famous Land Lottery of the 1830’s. My land was in fact a part of that land grab and was once occupied by Cherokee. Sad history. Great video!
