Joined your channel from Brampton, Ontario, Canada (near Lake Ontario). I follow Urbex explorers here. I have watched dozens of exploring videos and you are very articulate. Your narration is very thoughtful. Some explorers just ramble on. You spotted that old manual ringer washer; most your age have no clue what those are. Oh ! The old church, I think with the age and weather rotting away at support beams maybe a big storm caused the roof to collapse.
I do wish the weather had been better. It was such a dark and cold day! I will have to try to make it back out by there next time I'm in South Dakota. I will be following that place for a while to see what ends up happening to it.
I'm glad you like the video. It was definitely not a great day for filming! But I had to take the opportunity while I was there. Maybe I will return one day when the weather is nicer.
Was playing with the calculator and watching the vid at the same time. LOL! 41 year old newspaper, 56 year old school notebook in the Ford truck, 38 year old car parts book, etc. (I think I may have just done some of Faith's homework for her but she'll get over it. HAHAHAHA!!!!)
She said that she definitely does not mind if people do her homework. Even though she's been out of school for many years! LOL one newspaper there that I found in the school was from the 1930s!
I'll have to say I'm jealous. We need to travel more. And how about faith popping in with the facts 🙂 Too cool! Lookout fox News, she's well on her way. Thanks for another great video. 👍😃 And happy Easter 🐰
It was a fun one to record and to read about as well. I wish the weather had been better for filming, I may have to go back by if I'm ever in the area. Glad you like the video and thanks for the comment.
Nice seeing y'all again! It is sad to see a town up and gone like that, now that is where you wish walls could talk. I can only imagine, how cold the homes were in real life still. I'm sure many children sit in their coats, during the winter months. Sure would've been nice, that chevelle was two doors. God Bless Y'all and Happy Easter! (Glen) WV.
Glad you like the video. It's awesome to have someone from the UK watching! If I ever get over my fear of flying, I would like to come and explore over there. Definitely much older buildings there than we have in the states!
Me too! I am going to try harder to contact some owners on some of the properties that I have explored. I would love to try to save some of the things that are left. I can even sell them reasonably to people that would love them as much as I do. He could also help raise money to keep my channel going.
Yeah that's Old School 🤣🎒. I've seen this in various parts of the country. 1969 Chevy was in great shape. Primus trash on the inside. Setting out in the sun like that you'd have to leave the window crack a little bit for the heat that would build up. Just a thought

The support on the front of this cab could be for an early model of a snow plow. These are valuable workhorses for clearing roads & city streets.
I was thinking a 48 or 49 as well. I bet that truck has done a lot of work around that town! It was cool to see the old books and things left in there as well. There's no telling how many years they have been there.
If you want to know the year of that old truck , look in the door jam on the drivers door.should have a little metal tag pop riveted with the year and other info on it. I was thinking that when I looked at it. I bet it was running and driving up until he had to go to the nursing home. I don't believe it has sat unused for very long.

The late President Rosevelt had visited such mineral spring fed resort in his off time. Be the ones too revitalize the town. Wgo needs tge post office while we can enjoy UPS & FedEx services.
That is actually a great idea. I'm not sure how many people would come to that area. It is very far away from any major populated area. It definitely wouldn't hurt to look into it.

Last I heard he was in a nursing home. I'm not sure which one I have thought about finding out and going to see him. Maybe we could get a few stories documented before they are lost forever.
I always wonder why so many places in the countryside fall down, while so many homeless peopel in the citys sleep under a plastic tarp in roads that have the hygiene level of a cesspit. I would live there in an abandoned house and grow some food bevore i would live in a tent in venice beach.
I wonder the same thing all the time. The world is so backwards. I see so many empty houses and constantly hear about homelessness! It just doesn't make any sense.
All that interior is still salvageable!
