If they allow for watches that are 10k and change, any of the Zenith Chronomasters, and the Glashutte Original SeaQ should dominate the Seamaster and Speedmaster as well. The same goes for the new Grand Seiko White Birch.
I’m guessing the IWC Mark XX 40mm bracelet variation was excluded from the under 6k bracket on a technicality since it’s $6,250 on a bracelet. In reality, it’s only $350 more than the Seamaster. If cool points count for anything, the Mark XX beats the Seamaster all day, every day. I’d also give the Tudor Black Bay Monochrome (jubilee) the nod over the Seamaster for the bracelet. And this is coming from a guy who owns all 3 watches.

Great video Teddy. Next tourney should be 7-10k price range. A lot of heavy hitters in that price range that would make the voting interesting.
    Examples:
    - Speedmaster Hesalite vs Sapphire Sandwich
    - Rolex Datejust vs Omega Globemaster
    - Cartier De Santos vs Grand Seiko White Birch
    - Zenith Defy Skyline vs Breitling Premier
This price tier would make for the most interesting matchups as most people’s “grail watches” fall in that price category.

This tournament is great but does seem like marketing plays a huge factor in the decision. I may be wrong. Omega makes stellar watches but the choices were pretty vanilla. Which should be expected when doing any poll. Would love to see a $5-6k and 9-10k contest of microbrands.

Fully agree! The Omega SMP is one of the best watches around. For Rolex, I am not sure if it's fair. It is not really feasible to compare a Rolex at MSRP since the possibility of actually getting one at that price is low. I think the point of these comparisons is to imagine if you had that amount of money burning a hole in your pocket what would you get. I mean it's all fun and all but in the end, this could lead to an actual purchase decision. And when that happens, Rolex is not really a contender if you cannot get one at that price. But I would definitely want to see the next level up.

The Spirit Zulu flyback is a beautiful watch but the case is absurdly thick at 17mm! My limit is 15. The new 39mm Titanium GMT variant deserves this spot instead. Looks almost identical, perfect size, way more useful complication, and cheaper at under $5k (which I realize is not the bracket but why spend more if it’s not needed)

it's no surprise SMP300 just dominates in this price range - meta certificate, anti-shock, amagnetic > 15000 gauss, ceramic bezel and dial, double AR coating, brand heritage. Specs wise, it is superior to submariner making it the most robust mechanical diver in the world, but at 1/3 the price of a sub. How do you even argue with this?

Better than the Submariner? Not a chance buddy. Terrible bezel action. Where's like a brick and Omega use parts made in China. That's right the lame Swatch group has been outsourcing from China for years. Unlike Rolex that's 100p Swiss made, Better bracelet, Better bezel, triplock crown. The anti magnetism argument is pointless since Rolex aren't getting magnetized.

Seamaster was my guess right from the off. Unfortunately when the budget increases, the branding itself becomes a measure to the decision making for most too. I was hoping for an IWC Mark XX n Omega Diver final. Longines as well only had 1 representation, I suppose most do not see Longines in this category? I have a soft spot for Longines due to its history in particular they were one of the dirty dozen; they were once neck n neck with Rolex.
