  • Welcome to Plant-Based with Jeremy (PB with J)! In this exciting video, Jeremy LaLonde, renowned chef and host of PB with J, takes on the challenge of preparing delicious and healthy meals for his family for an entire week, using the new Forks Over Knives Summer magazine 2023 edition as his guide. See what he and his family think about this week of whole food plant-based cooking.
    Join Jeremy as he dives into the vibrant world of plant-based cooking, starting with a delightful Peanut Butter & Chocolate Smoothie Bowl to kickstart the day with a burst of flavor and nutrition. He then ventures into creating a luscious Creamy Basil Pesto that will elevate any pasta or dish it accompanies.
    Throughout the week, Jeremy experiments with a variety of recipes from the Forks Over Knives Summer magazine, including the tantalizing Panna Cotta Trifles, a dessert that strikes the perfect balance between indulgence and health. He also crafts a refreshing Broccoli Crunch Salad, bursting with textures and flavors that will leave your taste buds wanting more.
    Jeremy's culinary journey wouldn't be complete without exploring the grilled delights featured in the magazine. Watch as he expertly prepares Grilled Greens & Ponzu Sauce, a dish that highlights the natural flavors of seasonal greens. He also indulges in a satisfying Balsamic Mushroom Noodle Bowl, where tender mushrooms and noodles are elevated by a tangy balsamic glaze.
    Finally, Jeremy satisfies his family's sweet tooth with delectable Chocolate Raspberry Brownie Bites, a treat that showcases the magical combination of rich chocolate and tangy raspberries. And for a grand finale, he presents a Grilled Fajita Platter that bursts with smoky flavors and colorful grilled vegetables.
    If you're seeking plant-based recipes that are both satisfying and wholesome, this video is a must-watch. Join Jeremy LaLonde on this culinary adventure, inspired by the Forks Over Knives Summer magazine 2023 edition, and discover the joy of preparing dishes like Peanut Butter & Chocolate Smoothie Bowl, Creamy Basil Pesto, Panna Cotta Trifles, Broccoli Crunch Salad, Grilled Greens & Ponzu Sauce, Balsamic Mushroom Noodle Bowl, Chocolate Raspberry Brownie Bites, and Grilled Fajita Platter.

    We appreciate you even if you’re family are mean about your beautiful food at times!! They should be grateful for a) a vegan man and b) one that can cook!! Your a rare blossom!! No one can afford pine nuts! Last time I bought a handful from the bulk barn it was $20 and basil is also so expensive for a large amount and dies really quickly. Spinach is probably less bitter.

    • @pbwithjeremy
      @pbwithjeremy  11 месяцев назад

      Thanks :) To be fair they're negative about other people's recipes often. But I'd rather them be honest even when I'm making something up - they certainly appreciate me in lots of ways :) And yeah - pine nuts are crazy expensive. We try to grow our own basil, so that helps!

I'm so glad you created this video because I'll now try the PB & chocolate smoothie (I probably will drink it as a smoothie), chocolate raspberry brownie bites, and maybe a couple others! Just my 2 cents but...of all the vegan cookbooks I have, I find the ones that surpass them ALL are the How Not to Die Cookbook and the How Not to Diet Cookbook. Oh, the Plant Power Bowls book is pretty awesome, too. The FOK, Esselstein books, and most of the others I have don't have enough flavor to compete against years of the SAD-eating/ lifestyle. I found your channel yesterday, and I've been binging ever since! Your videos are very honest and helpful. Thank you to you and your family!

    Gosh must be hard to be married to someone that does not like anything you make(ur wife) the negativity off the roof.. I wish my husband would at leat attempt to make anything- she looks so miserable all the time poor thing. Keep up the good work am rooting for you. Is hard to please people.

      Sorry if it comes off that way - she's far from miserable - probably the most upbeat person I know - and our approach to these recipes is our family is allowed to be honest with their reactions - I don't take it personally. You're often seeing her at the end of a long day teaching kids as well :)

    I find Forks over Knives uses lots of uncommon ingredients

      I often think that their recipes must be really great for people who live in California :) They assume everyone has the same seasonal produce :)

    Your wife seems a bit grumpy. Lol.

      She's got a very dry sense of humour. And she also is a teacher, so the end of the day isn't her most energetic :)

      We learned that a lot of people like to watch with their kids so we’ve stopped including swearing in the videos.

    I love your show, but I just don’t like the bad language and I feel it isn’t necessary.

      We've eliminated it from all the newer episodes over the last few months so hopefully that helps.

      I totally get it. Our new videos don't have any swearing if that helps. So maybe just avoid some of them from before the last month or so... Thanks for the feedback!

    I am new to your program and love it. But today you seem to use alot profanity. Especially The F word several times. Hadn't noticed this before. Probably won't continue watching. Sorry.

    The wife is rudely grumpy to the husband. If she doesnt want to happily participate, maybe she could stay out of the kitchen.

    This video is interesting but can your daughter not speak with food in her mouth please. Also can you guys cut out the swear words. Your video is world wide so some restraint should be exercised. Thanks

    • @pbwithjeremy
      @pbwithjeremy  11 месяцев назад

      We're working on both of those things in future videos, so hopefully that helps. We also don't want to try and not be ourselves, so there's a balance there - a lot of people also appreciate us being our true selves and not phony like a lot of people on RUclips. People swear all around the world, so I don't think that really matters in terms of having a global audience, but I understand that some people are offended by certain words. We'll do our best - thanks!
