    I practice cutting in a bucket ,but first I draw shapes and lines before putting some film, then I trace it or make some 1 to 2mm allowance

      That's a great idea. I like that you draw on the bucket first and give yourself a line to trace. Thank you for sharing how you practice trimming. I'm sure there are a lot of people that won't be able to find a painted hood for free like I did. 👍🏻

    Thank for sharing ❤, is there any snap blades brand that you recommend?

      Great question. I've never tried a brand other than OLFA. I've always used their "OLFA AB-50S STAINLESS STEEL BLADES, 50/PK". I have seen people use the 30 degree blades but I don't like them. I'm very comfortable with the standard angle, so I stick with what I know! :)
      Here is a link to the blades we use. www.olfaproducts.com/olfa-ab-50s-stainless-steel-blades-50-pk.html
      Come to think of it, I think my wife just ordered some other brand blades and I was confused about it. I'll try them out next week, see if they are any good and let you know. I'm guessing that for the price per blade there is no reason not to just use the OLFA brand. I've never gotten any bad blades from them.

    Great video, how do you know that you have scored the PPF deep enough? Just practice?

      Practice, Practice, practice. :) You also what you make sure that you are on the lighter side of the squeaking sound. When you start to hear that just lighten up a little. If you are on the more pressure side when you hear the squeak you can still hit the paint. There is definitely an art to trimming PPF with and OLFA blade!

    Is it possible to do that cutting technic on 2 months old bad install? ( to correct ragged edges)?

      @EncorePPFtint  Год назад +1

      Yes, trimming PPF like this can even be done years later. 👍🏻

      My dad used to chew Copenhagen long cut. This stuff I have will really make a man out of you, OLFA sharp cut. 🤣😂

    a human is never able to apply consistent pressure across the length of an edge.
    Anyone embracing pppf is also signing up for their car paint to be cut up by the installer

      It's not that difficult. You've got it wrong. I can "score" ppf and tear it all day without hitting the paint.
