I have not received any feedback from the customer, and he did not call to set up his 1-month inspection. Therefore, I can only assume that everything is looking good. I installed the PPF on the hood early during the two weeks we had it, so I saw it well past the drying stage. Be sure to remove all moisture from the tiny corners in the letters; otherwise, they will dry with small air bubbles.

We can definitely get you some info on this new film. I really like it. It installs just as nicely as the PremiumShield. It's the same thickness and stretches great.

The bodyshop took the trim off in order to reclear the roof. So, I'm not sure.

That's a great thing to figure out! I only use OLFA knifes and replacement blades. Other blades have always had sharpness issues. Thank you! We always follow the recommendation of the body shop. That way, if we pop paint, it's not on us. What I've found over the years: As long as the paint was baked after it was sprayed, I have not had any issues installing PPF immediately. I've installed a lot of PPF for body shops over the years with no issues. We did a test with a body shop on my wifes van. We installed PPF the day after it was painted. It has been a couple of years and we have not had any problems. 👍🏻 That body shop now has us put PPF on right after the painting and before the customer takes the vehicle home.

On every single car we do. 👍🏻 people expect patterns now, and they are fit a lot better than they used to. I only hand cut windshields, Tesla roofs, and the model 3 rear window. Plus, I hand cut all older cars.

Yeah, we put the rims out in the sun on a 100-degree day. Then, we used a heat gun as well. It helped a little, but it was less than I was hoping. 😢😪 🤣😂 It's just a lot of work! 😁

I like to point out that it can, but it's not a problem that I have with it. The edge isn't all that sharp. But, if you are new to them, I could see meeding to know what to look out for. Tint slip has way more soap in it. I just got my solutions dialed in with the seventh generation dish soap. I use 30ml (1 ounce) to each gallon of water. 👍🏻 So, 3 times as much soap as the PPF slip.

Did you try pushing most of the air out with your hands first?

While you were squeegeeing out the film on the inside? Really big ones or ones coming off of the defrost lines?

@@EncorePPFtint I didn’t have any real big air pockets during install so I went with the blue max for my first past then did a second past. The banana shape pocket is between the defroster lines.

From start to finish on this motorcycle, I would say that it took me a full day. These are pretty complicated parts and are fairly time consuming. 👍

That's my go to saying to make sure that we keep expectations realistic. 😁

You can heat seal the edges as soon as they are dry. 👍🏻 You can speed up the drying process by wiping all of the edges down right after your installation or using compressed air to blow the water out of the edges. Either one of those will help speed up the drying process on those edges. 😁

I think cleaning and prep work are very important. Then the install. It's also important to make sure and heat seal all of the edges of the PPF before the customer picks it up. That will really help things stay down and reduce failures.

Thank you! It really depends on how much you drive, what type of driving you do, the size of rocks (road debris) you hit, and how clean you keep the PPF. The film comes with a 10 year warranty. We don't do much replacing of the PPF because of everyday driving. The small rocks that are normally going to cause chips should deflect off of the PPF without leaving and damage to the material.

We sell kits. Just an FYI. RUclips@encorewindowtinting.com A kit is by far the way to go. It's so much easier to install and gives great coverage. A kit will also minimize, if not eliminate, the need to trim the PPF on the vehicle. Those areas around the air dams (under the fog lights) are quite difficult. That's great feedback on the material! Yeah, I've found that most brands of knives and blades are garbage. I only use OLFA products. Tried and true for a ton of years. I've been using them since 1998.
