I found your explanation very comprehensive. I live in Russia and planning to start using the knowledge you provide in my little carwash buisness. Luckily there's little to no competition and a strong demand in my city. Definitely gonna be your loyal subscriber!
Awesome, welcome to the channel! I'm glad you are finding the videos helpful. Strong demand with little competition is a great place to be! How large is your city?
Great video. I like how you explain your whole thought process, I do the same thing when I do a job except no camera and I keep my thoughts to myself😅 I like how you show little mishaps like a hair or losing your cut line 🙄 Good to have realistic expectations 👌
Thank you for the feedback. It's much appreciated. It took quite a while to get used to explaining what I'm doing out loud. 🤣 It took me some time to decide whether to show the problems or cut them out during editing. I like to keep things real and show people how to correct problems as I come across them. It's an important part of the job! 😁👍🏻
Really appreciate this video. Super helpful for the things you need to keep in mind and planning ahead for fingers etc. also surprised how you were able to do this whole bumper with 24". I always assume il need lots of hangover on the edges, and you just opened my eyes to what can sometimes be possible. (and cost me way less....) Thanks again for this, love your videos.
Hey! Thank you for taking the time to leave this comment. I appreciate it! It is super helpful to watch other installers to their job. There is so much stuff to pick up on throughout the whole process. Maybe a technique or a new tool. It's great to hear what you found helpful in the video! You can definitely cut it close on the roll size. But, better, bigger than not enough! 👍🏻😂
I've noticed the squeegee you sent me is much firmer than the ones I have. You seem to press a good bit harder than I do. Looking forward to working with the new film and new squeegee. Thank you for saying what you are thinking, as you are working. Learned a few more things !
I do like the firmer squeegees. It helps me leave as little water as possible. You do have to pay good attention to the valleys and on really curved surfaces. Otherwise, it's easy to leave water bubbles behind. Let me know what you think about the firmer squeegee after you try it out. Also, what you think about the PPF. 👍🏻
Not yet. I plan on diving in a bit this winter when I have time. I'm waiting for SunTek to come out with their colored PPF line. I've heard and seen some bad things with some of the current brands out there. But like I said, I have not tried any of these products out myself.
Definitely not! It takes a skilled hand to trim PPF. But I can trim PPF all day without hitting the paint. I'm not cutting the PPF, I'm scoring the top and then taring it. 👍🏻😁
My guess is that you are overstretching the PPF. Overnight, the edges start to release and relax. Then, once you trim it, the film starts to pop loose on the edges. This will happen worse and faster if you pup the car out in the sun. What mirror are you working on, and do you have pictures? Pictures will really tell me what is happening. More advice is to make sure you wipe down the complete mirror with 70% rubbing alcohol. You need to get all of the wax (or other products) off of the paint. Do you make sure to heat all of the edges before you go home (even before you trim the ppf)? That can be very helpful as well. I do this on difficult mirrors. Have you watched some of my mirror PPF installs?

Wow. That's a great position to be in. That's a solid population size for minimal competition!
What's your city so I can move in and bring the competition. Lol
@willyouan6222 🤣😂 Some healthy competition. Man I'd love to be in a city with no other shops around!

@@EncorePPFtint I think the PPF and tint arrives today. Thanks !
Have you installed tint on the front doors of a Corvette before? They require quite a bit of heat shrinking on the outside first. 👍🏻
king of ppf
thnx

@@EncorePPFtintwhat brands did you hear bad things about? I’m an installer so curious myself.
Can you make a video about plotting and weeding ppf? Plotter you use / what degree blade on it / what software?
I can definitely do that! It's on my list to record. I'll get on it. 👍🏻😁

What brand ppf do you use.
Currently, we are installing PremiumShield NextGen PPF. That's what we used in this video. 👍🏻
What brand are you working with ppfand tint
PPF is PremiumShield, and Tint is Autobahn. Great products!
