One question: How the game manages to express that overwhelming and dark environment that you are not on your planet and that from time to time it manages to terrify you, this is very special for Metroid since it is something that only the saga knows how to express except for the Prime
I would have to say that it’s a combination of the sound design and the audio. Metroid is a _dark_ series color palette wise. Shadows and moody lighting are always emphasized, letting the player fill in the gaps with unsettling details, which, is often brought about by the music. Metroid has very little “intense” music. Outside of major bosses and escape sequences, the music often made to feel “looming” and oppress on the player, making them feel alienated by what can often be slow and quiet music. This alienation and sense of fearing the unknown are two of the best known ways of, you guessed it, making someone feel like they are somewhere alien and foreign.
09:51 I couldn't make that jump even with the high jump boots. I tried multiple times and ran into the Ice Ripper and eventually I ran out of energy and got a game over so I gave up. This does prove that they're some (but not alot) spots in the Romhack where you'll get stuck going forward which will make you give up like this one that happened to me
Could someone make a Zero Mission hack, which Samus wears a Phazon suit/armor? The Super Metroid hack one and the cheat codes for Fusion are amazing, but it would also be good to see Zero Mission have some of it too! =D
Storm Suit? Come to think of it, I actually wouldn't mind seeing a white Varia Suit. But we've already seen that with the Light Suit. But a white Varia Suit would be loads cooler! (Ba-dum TSS)
I guess it's supposed to represent Samus not wanting to harm the wildlife? I mean, the ones who were unfrozen from the start might've been altered bioweapons used by Ice-Ridley *_(pfffft!_*_ that fucking name, yo),_ but the ones got frozen and were later released, well those are the planet's wild animals. So maybe the hack is trying to force the narrative of Samus carefully doing whatever she can not to harm the wildlife? Even if it causes a lot of complications for her journey? I mean, it is a cool idea, but I'm not sure if it was executed the best way. _(why not make the animals just non-hostile and dealing no damage then?)_
