FYI you don’t have to press the F11 that many times. Press ESC once and F11 once during bootup

That depends on how big is your computer's hard drive spaces or storages.

I restored the one I got. I got that SSD with Linux Mint and 8 gigs of RAM. I shoulda bought a diff CPU to replace this AMD one that's in it but oh well... This is probably the first time this computer has worked since like 2014 or 15.

I just restored my old hp all in one 19
What do I do when it does not do the factory reset after following all these great instructions numerous times. It keeps going back to the previous setup. Leaving all files and programs I need to clear out. I have a 310. It has about 685 gigs on it and won't clean up to the factory settings. Just a bit frustrating.. Thanks for any input...

So I came here and I’m able to get to the restart page and all but as soon as I hit next on the “here’s what will happen page” it just shows a blue screen for a few minutes then a page comes up where it says that I need to log into the drive or something. The problem with that tho is that the whole reason I need to restart it is because when the computer loads after being turned on it just shows a black screen. You can move the mouse and press the creek with the cursor visible on screen but you can’t do anything on the computer. Any suggestions on what I should try?

I have the same pc, mine won't load Google, when I click on icon, the blue circle appears for a second, (like it's trying to load) then goes away, and does nothing.

Try to turn off your WiFi, your computer might have a virus or try to disconnect any other devices except keyboard and mouse.

Ok I turned off my wifi and try it again and I’m still having the same problem, computer power light turn on then turn off in about 5 seconds, kept doing that...I had to hold on to the power button to stop it.
so here what I did
(step by step)
1-Reset this PC
2-Remove everything
3-Just remove my files
(Use this if you’re keeping your PC)
Reset this PC
Getting things ready...
4-Reset this PC
All ready to go. Make sure that your PC is plugged in.
Resetting will remove:
•All the personal files...
•Any apps and programs...
Any ch ages made to setting.
I then press “reset”
Got me to a black screen with the “hp” logo in the middle And at the bottom
Resetting this PC 1%...
And then all of sudden I’m back at the blue screen with these options:
Continue
Exit and continue to windows recovery environment
Use another operating system
Continue with another installed version of windows
Troubleshoot
Reset your PC or see advanced options
Turn off your PC
I try “continue” and “turn off your PC”
I saw “undoing changes” then that’s when the computer keep turning on and off.
What am I missing here, this computer is less than a year old and I hardly use it for anything.

One of the most common causes for the reset error is corrupted system files. If key files in your Windows 10 system are damaged or deleted, they can prevent the operation from resetting your PC. Running the System File Checker (SFC scan) will allow you to repair these files and attempt to reset them again. Follow the guide below to fix the error.
Here's how to run the SFC scan:
1. Search for Command Prompt, then right-click on the best match result and choose Run as administrator. If prompted, enter your local user password or get the administrator to help you.
2. Once the Command prompt window opens, type sfc /scannow then press the enter key to start scanning your PC.
3. Wait for the scan to reach 100% completion. Make sure you don't close the Command Prompt or shut down your computer during this process, as it may reset progression.
4. Any system errors detected will automatically get repaired. This allows files associated with the "There was a problem resetting your PC" error to repair and function properly.
5. Restart your computer and attempt to reset your PC again.

I ran a sfc scan it goes to 100% and after it says (Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.).
what should I do in this case?

pressing f11 wont work on mine (HP IQ500 all in one) . It just continues onto windows start and then freezes. Tried multiple times. I have tried a different hard drive. Different ram modules and a new power supply. and tried booting from a linux mint USB but the computer freezes about 15 seconds into operating system bootup everytime. I can get into Bios and everything is fine and have run system Diagnostics and all components check out fine. Do you think it could be a motherboard issue?
Check for any bulged capacitor(s).

True true! my pc needs like 10mins to boot, then another 5 mins to find internet connection. Then another 10 mins to identify network then another 5mins. To log in.

Can you go in to BIO and see if your computer detects your hard drive at all? Could be your hard drive failure.

You might want to press "Power" button for like 30 seconds to see if that will reset or unplug your AC plug for awhile and plug it back in.

The 511 CPU fan not detected error basically means that the CPU cooling fan has either failed or is disconnected. It might also be physically damaged which is triggering the error. You will have to get it repaired or replaced to fix the problem.
