If the factory reset does not work for some reason, then move on and try to install Windows new.

Q: Will this erase all my data?
A: If you perform the hard reset, yes. You an choose the other option which will not delete all your data but there is still a chance of loosing data you want to save. Best to always back up data first.
Q: It saying 'insert your windows installation or recovery media to continue'
A: If you cannot Factory Reset, you will have to try a new install of Windows.

Q: I cant seem to access the startup recovery options by hitting F11
A: Hitting F11 for the Startup Recovery Options is usually only a step for older computers. Newer computers usually start up too fast to allow access to that. Can you not access Windows and reset from there? If not, what is happening when you try to start the computer? Once i get my laptop to the point where I am seeing reset this pc and advanced options then I click reset I get the keep my files and remove everything options so then I click remove everything and it just keeps telling me there's a problem resetting my pc... please please help me figure this out! & thank you for your time!!!!

Did you have to hard or soft reset it I'm in a similar scenario because my school program requires changing our password/pin and I lost mine entirely

Thanks for the information! Your video helped me a lot and saved me a phone call to Microsoft. My laptop issue is that it wouldn't get to the desktop so I can do the reset from there since the battery ran out when I initially did it and stalled the reset. Then, I started to get error when I tried to reboot. I'm glad I saw your video and found out another way to reset it when my laptop wouldn't fully boot up. Thank you so much!

For me, my brother passed down his laptop to me because he got locked out of it. The pin said it wasn't available anymore and the Microsoft account we used for it was no longer available so it was unable to be used since the pin no longer worked. I spent months and months trying to figure out how to fox it or just figure out how to get the account we used for the laptop. It never came back. The laptop could not be used no more because of it, eventually i found your tutorial and followed the steps and holy damn i thank you so much. I was very worried it wasn't going to work because of not i would of had to send it to someone and pay a ton of money to get it fixed and financially i am unable to do that since i dont earn money at all. You saved me from having to pay so much money just for it to get fully reset. Thank you, man

Mine says unlocking after I chose soft reset. Didn’t go to next page like yours how long will it take to unlock

My USB is not found in the boot manager and f11 isn't allowing me to factory reset.
@@aced9348 Try the other USB ports. Some computers will only accept one of them for installing Windows
I have three usbs and the boot manager was blank or it gave me two others to boot from either worked or was labeled as my particular drive.

This has been really helpful so far. I was able to see that my hard drive is okay so I'm trying to do a factory reset, but it's stuck on please wait after pressing f11. Any idea why this might be happening? I also ran a system check as in your previous video and everything appears to be in order. Thanks for all your help !

hey , thanks for making your vids so clear and your interaction with the viewers is incredible! i have the boot loop problem and ive already tried to do a factory reset but it keeps failing to reset, ive had no luck with the bios and its not a hardware problem . does this mean the the os needs to be changed ?

@@PC_Monkey thanks for getting back to me :) , your tutorials worked perfectly and i got the new os without any trouble. i had tried everything you had mentioned including plaing around with the bios and factory reset but a new os was my only option . however my only issue now is that i have hardly any range with wireless which wasnt an issue in the past , owould you have any solutions ? thank you for your time !
@@pierreharris1354 Sorry. Very little experience with networking stuff like wireless strength :( I would make sure the router is in good health. Other than that, I would call my IT guy lol :(

@@PC_Monkey matter of fact I do have a question. I repair a lot of Apple computers and the new M1 chips have changed the way most things are done. If you could do a video on the newer Macbooks, maybe how to wipe and reload and entering terminal... i would greatly appreciate it.

What do I do to clear space I’ve tried removing files deleting apps and I just don’t know what to do because it only causes a little bit of space but it still says I need around 2 GB to do so

@@theo4tisg no not really BUT I did an update that I knew I didn’t have space for then it said not enough storage and gave me the option to transfer to a drive so I did and it cleared 3g
But my computer is telling me I can’t reset because additional space is needed on the drive where windows is installed. What should I do I’m locked out of my computer.

I went to the settings and tryped "factory reset this pc" and put "dont keep files" or something along those lines, and it reset back to another point on my pc and not back to the beginning

Bro when I reset the pc option with remove everything it stops when it’s half way and puts me back to recovery and I’ve tried absolutely everything my pc won’t start up

I try to clean it completely but then it says Additional free space is needed on the drive where windows is installed. Free up some space and try again

Lynn Njiru gave it to repair shop, they said 7-10 days, its cause my computer was being powered on and off too much so it forgot all its memory and didn’t power to boot windows. £50
