I really like this one. I pieced together a Doubledealer a while back. Great gimmick. Most expensive part to get is the blue engine cover. Cool little oddity- that peg on the engine cover is minicon compatible.
Super Cool figure. He looks good in every mode. Love the gimmick and great toy engineering in the 80's. Also his character is a unique concept. He is a mercenary that changes sides in different disguises. One of my favorite toys growing up.
Great & fun review, as usual! This is a really cool character/figure, but I never have had the opportunity to own one yet...except for a WST version. One of these days, I'll get one though. Thanks for showing off his functions and gimmicks in such detail. Makes me hope we get a better version in the upcoming G3 stuff...although a guy did some work on a CW Onslaught and created a pretty sweet looking Doubledealer, in both modes! Couldn't believe it!

Had this Power Master sadly upon opening him I found he was a factory defect with missing right side of the back tires. Returned him only they had no others so had to take a GI Joe Cobra Hopper I think it was.
i wish they would reissue the rest of the minibots, like powerglide, huffer, pipes, wheelie, windcharger, cliffjumper, cosmos, sea spray, beach comber and brawn
When you attach the blue chest part to the end of the rocket, you can store one of the engines in it. Be careful with the stem holding the Autobot head. My cousin had it when we were kids and it broke.
2:12 yeah, it's true that doubledealer never appear in any form media, with the exception of the japanese anime, in super god máster force, he was binary bonding to an earth kid named clowder, unlike the toy which he was inspired, he had two god master bracelets which give him capabilities of becoming an Autobot or decepticon, double dealer was my favorite among the other power masters, he has that "líder material" aura by just looking at him.
That is a great gimmick only if some of the new transformers would had a great gimmick like that one the cyberverse transformers their gimmicks stink but this one is so awesome love the channel

I've tried watching Headmasters a couple of times but just can't get in to it. The MARVEL series was my G1 fiction, I lived out in the country with no cable as a kid I didn't get to see the show unless I went to my Grandparents house who lived in town. So I know MARVEL forwards and backwards, I even have collected editions now.
Just checked, any other PM will unlock the Autobot Conversion. Skar on the other hand has two extra pegs on him that press buttons to unlock Decepticon mode.

A very good reinvention of the Double Spy gimmick with the addition of the Powermaster gimmick.

All the modern technology put into the figures today and they've yet to surpass the gimmicks of G1.

I always thought of him as the leader of the Powermasters. I also saw the Autobot Powermasters as Prime's elite guard. That's how I played it.

i had this, loved this, but never played with Vulture mode. i always thought it was terrible. i loved the robot mode

I missed opportunity during all the Triple Changing craziness of Titans Return.
Theres multiple leaks that say hes going to have a figure in earthrise. He even appears on the artwork that will be on all the boxes

He currently goes for $100 on average which is really good because his powermasters are more expensive. They can run you $30-50 alone.
