Mines did too. Every theater knew the Emperor was in the later films so they assumed Mace was going to die. He still did, but it was a surprise that he beat Palpatine.
These are actors and the actor playing sidious was old. Don't think that everything you see in the animated world can be done by real humans. If this was animated then the battle would had been way different.
@@RicePho Man there is even a deleted coreograph on youtube were the other masters last a bit more and looks way more convincing. The scene cuts in this sequence are badly placed and it just looks like Agen and Saesse allowed Sheev a free stab instead of showing them taken by surprise with that autistic screech jump.
So this movie basically reinforces the whole chip thing with the clones. Some people call it bad writing. Honestly its good bc its more tragic with a nice twist to it. Absolute compliance. Bc in one scene where you see the order being broadcasted one of the clones goes "yes, Lord Sidius" Thats what the nightmares were that Tup and Fives talked about before they died. It was them being compliant with Sidius' orders. And keep in mind nobody knew the name of Sidius. It was just a word the clones kept hearing probably. I dont know how they did it, but the Kaminoans planted the entire plan into their heads and the entire army played it off as nightmares.
Please forgive me if the translation is weird. I am an experienced Kendo player, so I can see that the two men time their sword strikes at unique times. In martial arts, it is said that you control what comes first. They read each other's movements. The important thing is to take the first move, and there are no flashy or unnecessary movements like in a battle between masters, and it's easy.
Sidious: Master Windu, I take it General Grevious has been destroyed then? You are here sooner than expected Master Mace Windu: What does Marsellus Wallace look like? Sidious: What? MMW: Say what again
For 12 seconds as Palpatine somehow defeated 3 of the most experienced and powerful Jedis, no where in these 12 seconds with his back towards Mace Windu, was Windu able to slice through or hit Palpatine. And people enjoy this
I always wonder what happened to kit fisto lightsaber and the other two lightsabers and bodies like where they cremated or what? Also is it ever established what happen to mace windus body like was it ever found?
Put some respect on Kit Fisto's name! If you slow down at 0:45 you can glimpse Palpatine throwing a feint at his head before he spins for the following blow that Fisto blocks. Despite just watching Agen Kolar and Saesee Tiin go down in one blow each, Fisto was composed enough to see the feint and wait for the real blow. Now that's a Shii-Cho master in action! Unfortunately, Shii-Cho is basically a death sentence in lightsaber duelling. Makashi alone is specifically designed to penetrate it easily and then you have all the other lightsaber combat forms after Form II to contend with as well.
That Palpatine managed so effortlessly to slice two out of four major jedi masters in a blink of an eye speaks volumes of how badly trained they were. Perhaps they should have played more with their sabres rather than with Ashoka.
They were just outmatched against a true Sith Lord. Darth Bane for example was able to fight 3 Jedi masters at the same time, one of which was a blade master. True Sith Lords were no joke thats one of the reasons Mace, as good as he was, brought all that help with him in the first place.
It is pretty badly portrayed but in the novelisation it is said that Palps was extremely fast when he used his full power of the dark side plus the scream he let out was so powerful it stunned most of his opponents. In this scene the rest of the Jedi looks like NPC:s, I guess it is purposely done so to show just how fast he was.
2:50 like it or not, as much as I despise how Mace treated Anakin, he was right about not letting him be a master, is not wise to let someone else manipulate your emotions like Palpatine did with him on these scenes here
Anakin truly did not care if palps died he already knew he was evil at this part because of the reveal he knew palps was secretly the one who allowed the hit on his wife go through he knew all of this. The only pure reason he protected palps was for knowledge of how to "cheat death" if it werent for this sole reason he would have let mace "do what must be done" anakins story is a true tragedy when you look at it
At 1:05 we saw Palpatine easily could have killed Mace Windu. This is 100% indisputable. The entire reason why Palpatine CHOSE not to kill Mace Windu at 1:05 to is because Palpatine needed to keep Mace Windu alive longer in order to deceive Annakin Skywalker and achieve his goal of turning Annakin to the dark side of the force.
@@davidpaz9389 I heard that. "The Maker himself" is also a very weathy man who wants to sell a lot of Mace toys. I suspect that had something to do with it. We saw at 1:05 Palpatine could have killed Mace if he wanted to.
@michaelzoran That's what you saw. What probably happened was a lightning fast swing of a blade was avoided by an equally fast reaction. If you've ever read the ROTS novel Obi Wan was so attuned to the force he was able to react to multiple moves from Grievious per second. Again, that's what you saw.
I remember watching this scene was I was just a teen. Every time I rewatch it, I understand more and more why a young Anakin would disarm Windu. The betrayal of values and destroy the image of everything, the Jed in this case.
Here, by the way, Sidious blabbed to Windu that Anakin had a lover who needed help. If Windu had killed Sidious, how would Anakin explain to Windu that he had violated the Jedi code and had Padmé there, plus she was also pregnant?
I feel like Mace Windu was severely underprepared for this fight. Instead of gathering some yokels at a bus stop and handing them a lightsaber he should have gone in with legitimate members of the jedi council.
He used the Vaapad variant of the Seventh and Forbidden form of Lightsaber Combat. In case you don’t know, there are 2 variants of the form, Juyo and Vaapad. They are different in a way: -Juyo focused on aggressive assault and a mindset that drew upon anger and negative emotions to fuel relentless assault. This version led so many to fall to the dark side or close to it. -Vaapad drew upon similar anger and passion, but it required the user not to give in to the dark side. It wasn’t as reckless as Juyo though.
You can see Ian Mcdiarmid struggling with the lightsaber scenes (notice the very short shots). Whoever did the editing for 0:41 should be arrested as he holds that saber for the same length of time that it would take to travel across the galaxy but somehow he still surprises 3 jedi masters. Then they give up and have a cgi palpatine at 0:56 look at his face. To be fair to Ian Mcdiarmid he's always said that he found saber fights the hardest so it shouldn't have been a surprise to the producers/editors when it looks bad. He's a lot slower than samuel L Jackson which is I think the issue.

Mines did too. Every theater knew the Emperor was in the later films so they assumed Mace was going to die. He still did, but it was a surprise that he beat Palpatine.
Were Mace and The Senate the only ones playing on low ping?
These are actors and the actor playing sidious was old. Don't think that everything you see in the animated world can be done by real humans. If this was animated then the battle would had been way different.
@@RicePho Man there is even a deleted coreograph on youtube were the other masters last a bit more and looks way more convincing. The scene cuts in this sequence are badly placed and it just looks like Agen and Saesse allowed Sheev a free stab instead of showing them taken by surprise with that autistic screech jump.
Mace survived, but became a one-handed amnesiac… or so I would like to think.
So this movie basically reinforces the whole chip thing with the clones. Some people call it bad writing. Honestly its good bc its more tragic with a nice twist to it.
Absolute compliance. Bc in one scene where you see the order being broadcasted one of the clones goes "yes, Lord Sidius"
Thats what the nightmares were that Tup and Fives talked about before they died. It was them being compliant with Sidius' orders. And keep in mind nobody knew the name of Sidius. It was just a word the clones kept hearing probably. I dont know how they did it, but the Kaminoans planted the entire plan into their heads and the entire army played it off as nightmares.
Man, those first few Jedi killed... they must let anybody be a Jedi these days! They got put down like WWE Jobbers!
I like it when he says that I am the Senate!
You can see Papaltine is inviting Windu to attack him.
O silêncio não erra. Se Mace falasse menos e agisse mais, tinha fritado o Palpatine antes do Anákin chegar.
Please forgive me if the translation is weird. I am an experienced Kendo player, so I can see that the two men time their sword strikes at unique times. In martial arts, it is said that you control what comes first. They read each other's movements. The important thing is to take the first move, and there are no flashy or unnecessary movements like in a battle between masters, and it's easy.
very nice glowstick, gimme that I go mine in ctluha kulata
"I AM, THE SENATE"
Mace would have survived that
Yeah... My Man is still alive! 😊
Sidious: Master Windu, I take it General Grevious has been destroyed then? You are here sooner than expected
Master Mace Windu: What does Marsellus Wallace look like?
Sidious: What?
MMW: Say what again
Lol 😂😂😂
A Great Fight!
1:56-1:57 You. Plural. Youse. Y'all. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
0:30 awwww
Well he said, what have I done.
Hot take: I like it. Ian's clumsiness actually gives the duel some authenticity, similar to the slower fights in the OT.
This whole fight scene was benign
Mace Windu falls out the Windu 😂
For 12 seconds as Palpatine somehow defeated 3 of the most experienced and powerful Jedis, no where in these 12 seconds with his back towards Mace Windu, was Windu able to slice through or hit Palpatine. And people enjoy this
I always wonder what happened to kit fisto lightsaber and the other two lightsabers and bodies like where they cremated or what? Also is it ever established what happen to mace windus body like was it ever found?
Sounds like a question for ChatGPT
The simple answer is that any Jedi bodies that were intact ended up in jars like stuffed animals.
I was so sad to see that happen to Sinube :(
Put some respect on Kit Fisto's name!
Dooku didn't know how to save Padme lol
I always try to hear the sith scream and no shake but it's imposible for me
What have I done 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Essa cena é incrível PODEEEER ILIMITADOOOOO
Senate with powerful force abilities and great manipulation skills
The first three Jedi went down quickly. Did the scream have anything to do with it?
Yes it was a force scream which stunned the Jedi for a second and allowed palpy to get in some kills
Acolyte was better than this
It is pretty badly portrayed but in the novelisation it is said that Palps was extremely fast when he used his full power of the dark side plus the scream he let out was so powerful it stunned most of his opponents.
Not true. He was beaten by Mace and this was confirmed by Lucas himself
The Maker himself said Mace legit unarmed and beat Sidious.
@@michaelzoranyeah...or, you are wrong and don't want to admit it. Which is more likely?
1:34 sidious knew he didn't have him. Mace is insane with his saber.
He falls out the Windu 😂😂
Bro the prequels are way better than the sequel trilogy no debate
Mace Windu, Kit Fisto and those other two jedis didnt have to face the horrors of Order 66.
Or ortherwise known as Jedi Council Vs. "The Senate"
Those three Windu brought with him lied on their resumes.
I remember watching this scene was I was just a teen. Every time I rewatch it, I understand more and more why a young Anakin would disarm Windu. The betrayal of values and destroy the image of everything, the Jed in this case.
He was just weak 😅 clouded by Palpatine
What is the name of the movie
Here, by the way, Sidious blabbed to Windu that Anakin had a lover who needed help. If Windu had killed Sidious, how would Anakin explain to Windu that he had violated the Jedi code and had Padmé there, plus she was also pregnant?
"He's a Sith, he was just trying to manipulate you like he'd been the whole time."
don't think that woulda been a big issue after anakin chose not to kill windu lol
The big mistake was making Ian McDirmid perform the fights as he mentioned in behind the scenes that he was not looking forward to it at all.
Anybody kidding themselves to Palpatine throwing this fight - NJEEW. Mace won. Palps just used Anakin's arrival for what is was worth.
Not Master Windo in the subtitles 😭
Windu really did no diff Palpatine and then died to plot. Crazy.
Yo no tendré familia y tengo toda la familia ayudándonos PLATON'S hoy y hoy
Haha, Palpatine said he was too weak. But then unlimited POWER!!
0:15 - 0:29"The Council vs the Senate"
I feel like Mace Windu was severely underprepared for this fight. Instead of gathering some yokels at a bus stop and handing them a lightsaber he should have gone in with legitimate members of the jedi council.
"Do it!"
I always didn't like this scene - why make the other three master ( Besides Windu ) look so pathetic weak ???
同感です。弱すぎだと思います。
the intention was to show how powerful Palpatine was and that Mace had to draw upon the dark side as well in order to stand against him.
They weren’t prepared for the Dark lord
He used the Vaapad variant of the Seventh and Forbidden form of Lightsaber Combat.
In case you don’t know, there are 2 variants of the form, Juyo and Vaapad. They are different in a way:
-Juyo focused on aggressive assault and a mindset that drew upon anger and negative emotions to fuel relentless assault. This version led so many to fall to the dark side or close to it.
-Vaapad drew upon similar anger and passion, but it required the user not to give in to the dark side. It wasn’t as reckless as Juyo though.
It was more of a suprise attack they just didn’t depict it well, he blitzed them
Well those first 3 ..jet 👁🗨 did squat....
God dam it anakin. 3:50
Энекин правильно сделал что перешёл на темную сторону силы.
