Give him that double lightsaber, make it red and he 💯 passes as Darth Maul from the first movie… pretty insane and in the first movie he was just an innocent selfless little kid The power of Sidious was incredible, true manifestation of Satan if there ever was.
At 2:08 is when it gets to me because when Anakin is crying it’s not because he felt bad about what he did, it’s because he wasn’t that hopeful little boy who had dreams of becoming a Jedi and he had basically lost himself. That scene gets to be because there are times I feel like I lost touch with my younger self too, where I wasn’t that happy little boy anymore and grew up to be very angry, bitter, and had a very cynical view of the world and everyone in it (which I’m trying to work on by the way) but I think at times we all have those feelings.
Maybe my perspective has shifted due to the recent trilogy of mistakes, but you gotta admire the tactics of Palpatine here. Creates the separatist faction to spark conflict through the galaxy, orchestrates the production of the necessary force to counter such a threat. Takes command of the senate, making him the ruler of one side of the war. Eliminates all opposition, Jedi who seek true justice and freedom (are meant to at least) and the separatists who want power for themselves, creating a power vacuum only he can fill. By the end he appears to be the savior that ended the war, rallying the support of the galaxy and gaining the power to enforce his rule and crush any form of resistance...at least for a time. This right here is the original red wedding.
Palpatine was the leader of both sides of the war; that was part of his plan all along. He was the one pulling the strings on both sides of the Clone Wars, and simply waited until the time was right to pull the trigger and end the Separatists.
This whole scene is brilliant. It also gave Anakin a massive chance to mentally drown in hatred since all of those he killed wanted his wife aka Senator of Naboo died for a long time. Anakin killed them after such a long time. Epic scenes put together as one scene! Thank you for uploading!! ❤️💙
If Anakin had known that the Separatists were following orders from Palpatine, he would've realize that his own master wanted Padme dead too. Anakin would've gone back to his ship, returned to Coruscant, and killed Palpatine long before Return of the Jedi.
I love the scene at 2:02 with Anakin on the balcony, and how much it resembles the scene in Return of the Jedi where he is alone on the Endor walkway. One scene has Anakin reckoning with all he's done after trying to save someone he loves but loses himself in the process, and the other has Anakin reckoning with all he's done to rediscover the person he once was that would give everything to save his loved ones.
2:08 is a shot that’s the most powerful in Star Wars history to me. You can tell he regrets what he’s done but he knows he’s too far gone to turn back. He’s sold out everything he believed in and everything he worked for in such a short time.

@@NA-zq3fz To be fair, he didn’t specifically mentioned those leaders as “innocent”. He just Anakin killed innocent people which he did even if you don’t include these leaders.
These two scenes have so much importance in the whole entire Skywalker Saga: Anakin going to Mustafar to kill the Separatists Leaders thus ending one of the greatest and longest wars ever, The Clone Wars Realizing the intensity of Palpatine’s betrayal from looking at Separatist Leader Viceroy Nute Gunray as he says “The war is over, Lord Sidious promised us peace, we only want” -, as he is killed by Anakin And Anakin’s mind processing all this while still in its own process of turning to the dark side, he is being consumed by the dark side more and more as he kills one after another, and then shortly regretting it knowing its too late
Jordan Thomas I meant longest as in the way they perceived it to us because they made two TV series about the clone wars plus one movie, so it was pretty long to me

This was Anakins reward. He helped Sidious against Mace Windu out of desperation. And leading the assault on the temple was a test to see if Anakin could truly become the Sith Lord Sidious' needed to rule by his side. Slaughtering the Separatist leadership was his reward for following through. palpatine took a helpful good hearted ultra-talented child, and groomed and manipulated him into a killing machine. That scene of him crying is incredibly powerful because it shows he hates who he's become and thinks there's no going back. "don't look back" -shmi
1:56 This scene right here is one of the best in any movie. For a brief moment, this is Anakin. He’s just taking it all in as the reality as to what he has done finally sets in. He knows there’s no going back now. He is filled with remorse and sorrow for his actions but in his mind, he convinces himself that it’s worth it to save Padme. If you look closely, half his face is dark and the other half is covered in light. This symbolizes he’s conflicted as to what he’s thinking. The sun symbolizes the little light that’s left in Anakin that he is holding onto: Padme. He feels abandoned by the Jedi. He feels abandoned as he has no one to turn to. He is so desperately trying to hang on but the little glimmer of hope he’s holding out for is about to burn out.

You're right
honestly that’s so accurate, i relate.
Couldn't save his mother, and can't let go from everything he fear to lose
This whole comment hits way too close to home. Its a very human aspect of his character that is very underrated imo
Yeah, that what happened to me too
Maybe my perspective has shifted due to the recent trilogy of mistakes, but you gotta admire the tactics of Palpatine here.
Read Darth Plagueis, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
The separatist didn’t want power They wanted Independence
Palpatine was the leader of both sides of the war; that was part of his plan all along. He was the one pulling the strings on both sides of the Clone Wars, and simply waited until the time was right to pull the trigger and end the Separatists.

This whole scene is brilliant. It also gave Anakin a massive chance to mentally drown in hatred since all of those he killed wanted his wife aka Senator of Naboo died for a long time. Anakin killed them after such a long time. Epic scenes put together as one scene! Thank you for uploading!! ❤️💙
Not to mention he put a quick end to any future clone wars.
If Anakin had known that the Separatists were following orders from Palpatine, he would've realize that his own master wanted Padme dead too.
Anakin would've gone back to his ship, returned to Coruscant, and killed Palpatine long before Return of the Jedi.

These two scenes have so much importance in the whole entire Skywalker Saga: Anakin going to Mustafar to kill the Separatists Leaders thus ending one of the greatest and longest wars ever, The Clone Wars
Realizing the intensity of Palpatine’s betrayal from looking at Separatist Leader Viceroy Nute Gunray as he says “The war is over, Lord Sidious promised us peace, we only want” -, as he is killed by Anakin
And Anakin’s mind processing all this while still in its own process of turning to the dark side, he is being consumed by the dark side more and more as he kills one after another, and then shortly regretting it knowing its too late
