The foreigners are working hard and paying the taxes that pay to support New Zealanders. I'm sick of hearing crap about forgieners, they generate New Zealands income.
Us NZ taxpayers fend for ourselves, foreigners are the lucky ones to be here. The arrival of foreigners accepting low hourly wages isn't agood thing for kiwi workers. Get real.
@@LUAPIGNARthat’s right, if those jobs that were bringing foreigners into do actually paid enough to live off in NZ I’m sure more people would be lining up to do the work. Instead we bring in workers who are getting paid a lot compared to what they would make in their own country, and that keeps NZ wages low. Give NZers enough to live off in our own country!!
Omg that's Soo sad! It's reality in new Zealand right now this family deserve better.. I'm in rent arrears and are trying to get out but honestly don't know what to do and work and income dont want to help now lol
I don't doubt it's frustrating after many years in cramped conditions, but be grateful you still have a safe, clean place to live. The teenagers need to be taught that peer pressure is preferable to being homeless. No backyard? Go to the park.
Many of us are in the same boat. Split some kids in a motel while we remain here in a sleep out with connective shed. There were much brawling issues endangering members of the family out the front of the property with the commotion and a cancer mum with regular flooding lungs and police presence and medical team checking in on mum. You are a great couple and the system has let you down. Stay close family and the tough times will make you stronger. Hopefully change comes soon. They mismanage others like one mental health woman has had a property for years for herself. That's right not identifying us and giving us a home. I plan to set my family up for work to get up and to go through the real estates instead of waiting for these services and watching how they manage the situation. Years now and now even my youngest twins are of age to work. A good town to cater to some kind of suitable work.
There are heaps of empty new builds in Mangere. Had kainga ora housing project advertising all over the place when they started building them. Now. All privately owned and empty. Yet motels are full with families 5 mins away. 🤔
These guys have totally missed the point of emergency housing. Its a backstop so you dont have to sleep under the stars while YOU sort out a permanent solution. Its not the taxpayers job to give you a longterm house just because you need one, its YOUR job. Seriously dude youve been given 4 years housing so you can go out and work and save knowing you have somewhere to stay at the end of the workday, if I had 4 years accommodation given to me I would gave been working 2 jobs or whatever it takes so I could save up for a house deposit and move my family into their own home, you say you feel like you've failed your family well damn right you have mate and then go adding more kids to a situation where you couldnt afford the ones you had already. Start taking responsibility for your situation if you want it to improve dont sit round moaning that the taxpayer isnt looking after you properly. At the end of the day these government programs are a ladder for you to use to climb out of your situation, if you want to waste the opportunity by using it as a bed to lie on then dont whine when you find it uncomfortable.
Maybe the dad should get a job quicker so they can get a rental ? Don’t wait on the government, I was a single person with no kids and they gave me a 2bedroom house 🤦♀️ whilst so many families are waiting 😞
Why do people keep having kids if their situation is already dire? And they don't even bother to work, they just expect the govt to provide for them? Then they say their housing situation is inadequate but add more kids to it! The entitlement baffles me.
@@PattiRiMcGuire-rt6ys you missed the point entirely. A lot of people do work and end up in this situation but at least they are paying for their kids and own rent. If you earn a wage there's more options besides just relying on social housing such as private rentals etc. Those people had more kids when their housing situation was already unsuitable (probably to take even higher priority for a house.)

There is racism in the public real estate sector that as well. In Hamilton migrants get accepted more easily for public rentals than a Maori person or Maori family. And some rental agents celebrate housing people moving into the city rather than choosing people who already live in the city who are living in hotels. In Hamilton they have been building 4 bdrm houses where they don't rent the full house out. They now are charging rent for each individual bedroom from $250 - $350 and make the kitchen and lounge communal areas. This is all for greed and we don't have enough houses for families. I wish someone put a stop to these room rental properties that serve only the investors and landlords greed and are stealing space for full houses that are what are needed. If you want to get a rental it helps only if you are not Maori and if you know someone in the rental agency or if you have whanau who don't just leave you on your own to rely on the system. Reliance on the system and the government will keep our people stuck.

So they have 6 kids and cant find a house. Are they trying to get a 3 bedroom house to house 8 people?
Emergency and transitional housing on the east coast in particular is appalling!
Since the government first pushed the changes for healthier homes on landlords, families in homeless situations has skyrocketed. This is sad! The system is failing the families on the East coast. My 3 children and i had to make a drastic move right out of the region and go to the manawatu, to get out of homelessness.
If you want to bring kids into this world, be more prepared to work hard and provide. It seems this couple wants to rely on the benefit and not work. Wake up and mahi hard
Ignorance is bliss for you. We are being overpopulated like never before and cramped out. Not the same as years ago. That kid comment is very unethical. You must enjoy a dictator mindset.

Mate live in their shoes
I get sick of ignorant comments like this you do realise that in nz youbhave people working more than 40 hours a week and living in their cars because they cant get housing stop living in lala land
How come the local iwi arnt stepping up and providing the land for these new homes to be built on, the tribes with multiple millions in the bank should be helping their people out with subsidised land to build on! The lady’s last comment is interesting, why are we still here? Because you had 6 kids before you owned a house to bring them up in!!
Iwi loves problems like this, it gives them something to complain about.
Shuuush
After the banks, the govenment and the crown has taken their cut... You're left with scraps for the local iwi.

Time to grow up and get a job,you are the parents of the children if you want a better life for yourself and your children, I can’t afford to have 8 kids and I work hard,
Yup cause even with a full time job they'd b able to afford to feed 8 kids in this day and age👍🏻 good on u mate clearly a bright person
@@DamanKingBearexactly so…. Don’t have that many?
People struggling need better words than the irrelevant bullshit you've sprung. You do realise that working has nothing to do with this? People on healthy wages are just getting by. The dollar just doesn't go very far anymore.
Thick head i know people/MYSELF working full time 7 days a week and KIDS still just getting through each week so this has nothing to do with a job fk ya
There are people that genuinely need the help but that doesn’t mean once you get it you sit still and not want to work hard to further educate and eventually move into your own place leaving where you were for someone else that needs the help. And you can’t expect your own children to grow up and be independent and hard working if what they see growing up is the norm. The same thing when your family parties all day everyday, people drunk everywhere all the time, why you would expect your kids not to drink get drunk and do all that when that’s what they’ve seen all their lives. You the parents are teaching your children to be less then. You are teaching your children to sit around and wait for hand outs. You can’t blame anyone but yourselves, especially when you know your situation sucks but you keep being these poor kids into the world🤦🏽♀️
Aww I use to work with Chyenne and Mohi at indevin, hard workers they are!,

I'm paying $600 a week rent on a rental property I can't afford I was put in this house from a work and income housing broker after a long time on the waiting list. I'm in rent arrears and are trying to get out but honestly don't know what to do and work and income dont want to help now lol
This is heartbreaking, feel for families in this situation.
It's bad here in WA too. Homeless people in every country town now 😞
Bring broke in Australia means they not too smart 😂
I am genuinely sad for you and your whanau. This is not right, changes need to be made and especially for those with bigger families.

the spiritual realm rules all...if you get it you get it if you don't you don't.. pray for your family to get up..

Heaps of people work & still end up in this situation !!!!
They need to take responsibility for their actions we the taxpayers are not responsible for their actions, grow up and make your life better

I just dont see how this is everyone else's problem? These days having a roof over your head let alone your own bedroom is a luxury.
Housing is a luxury?
@chelseafisher6881 well it isn't going to pay for itself is it
Of course you all are pakeha commenting about the number of kids they have, not the issue at hand.
If someone said "all us Maori commenting"" they would be racist but you can say "all pakeha."
The issue at hand is having 8 kids on the welfare system then wanting free social housing. The dad is capable of making babies but not working.
I’m Pakeha and totally agree with you.
Been there for four years and yous had another kid, crazy
The system is failing everyone or you failed yourself??
Ohh my ghaad
